What a delight this air bnb is! The hosts were kind, responsive and generous. We absolutlely loved the outdoor courtyard - the birds, fish and plants were all wonderful. The host recognized a fellow plant nerd in me and made me several cuttings from his awesome plants, along with tips to get them back to Virginia :) The outdoor area is so spacious - I would have loved coming here when my kids were little. It feels like it is *actually* kid friendly and a place you could really spread out and relax with your kids. My kids would have been entertained for hours watching the aviary, koi and running around on the giant lawn. Plus, there's a game system and a swingset! The property is truly accessible as well. Inside, the hosts have provided everything you could possibly need. The bedrooms are spacious, the common area is friendly, usable and full of games, crafts, extra blankets, good coffee and yummy snacks. The location is great

We absolutely loved our time here. Everything was so well taken care of inside their home and you simply cannot beat the view. It's stunning. We appreciated the dog -friendliness and wonderful location as well.

One of the nicest Airbnb's we've stayed in. The view of the lost coast is stunning. The unit is incredibly clean with new appliances, including a new washer and dryer and new appliances in the kitchen. The host is amazing and very responsive and allowed us to check in early. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to stay in the shelter Cove area.

Charming and well built treehouse with live edges and beautiful craftsmanship. The treehouse is as described. Enjoyed the outdoor shower. Needed a place for a night and got a goods night rest. In a safe location. Thank you to the hosts for a pleasant and easy overnight stay at your special spot.

We were thrilled to find Dan's Cove Cottage on AirBnB. My husband grew up camping at the Wages Creek campground with his grandparents every summer in the 1960s-70s. We brought our own children to camp there when they were little. Now that we're older, it was wonderful to experience the matchless beauty of this beach with every comfort thoughtfully provided for, and every glorious view framed by a window. There is even a telescope! The wood stove was very easy to use, with everything provided, including excellent instructions, but the heating system is state of the art and the fire is more for the coziness and glow than warmth (but remember to turn the heating system down if there's no fog). I particularly liked the variety of pillows available,Dan went out of his way to make sure we knew everything we needed to know beforehand, such as directions, where to shop for groceries, exactly how to access the keys, etc. When cell coverage is spotty, this is a great help to print out and bring.

Cozy, well appointed and surrounded by nature, the Beach Trail Cottage is one of the best Airbnbs I've ever experienced. Great location, view and amenities. Jonathan was communicative and had great recommendations.

Lovely location in the area. Perhaps my personal favorite aspect was the background white sound of the roaring ocean. It’s a calming sound overlapped by birds calling, tree leaves rustling and coastal air moving it all around. The fragrance around the property is lovely and the home itself is well insulated and had everything you’ll need to be comfortable. We’d definitely go back. Stayed with my wife. Weather was chilly with fog and marine layer in late evening/morning. The highlights: The driveway looks like it leads to a house and garage but forks around it. Keep going until it ends! • View/ambiance was outstanding! Great from the patio or couch, perfect sunset views! • Walking to the beach entails a somewhat sketchy staircase and crossing a small lake. If you’re adventurous, you’ll be fine (a Kayak is available). Otherwise, that view tho… • Bathroom was great (even for two) and towels provided. But, Bring soap! • Bed was comfortable, bedding kept us toasty despite the chilly night. Room can be made dark which was great! • Kitchen - unsure, we opted to bring/reheat food. Turned out we could have cooked though! •Plenty of wifi on site, easy access to the room (no hassle on check-in). •Morning coffee, from the patio, watching the waves, under a blanket: Bliss! A bit pricey but definitely worth the splurge! Thank you, Bruce!
