The Nest at Plaistow Bed & Breakfast

BethanyRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
We had a delightful one night stay at The Nest on our way to the south coast. After a long day of travel, arriving at The Nest was a welcome embrace. Spotlessly clean and so cozy, it is clear that Sally and Steven have put much care and effort into making this lovely space an oasis. We slept well and were appreciative of the optional breakfast. Steven's culinary skills provided us with a hearty start to the day and we enjoyed the opportunity of chatting with Sally and learning more about the area. Our only regret is that this was a one night stay. If ever in the area, we would certainly stay again. While we did not visit on this trip, we highly recommend nearby Petworth--both the town and the National Trust property are within easy reach.

Peaceful Countryside retreat - spacious apartment

RobertRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a lovely time here. The annexe was really everything we needed for a long weekend. So many thoughful touches. The kitchen was equipped with everything you could need. The radio was playing gently when we got there and some biscuits had been left for our arrival. Sheets to cover the sofa were provided so we didn't have to worry about our black furry dog ruining anything. We usually bring our own but it was all thought of. My dog was made most welcome which is really important to us. He loved playing with Martha and exploring in the woods. Such a tranquil place. We barely heard a woof out of him he was so relaxed. We look forward to returning one day.

Staying with Natalie was seamless end-to-end. Instructions provided to find the location were clear, accurate and provided well in advance of our arrival. The cottage was spotless inside. The place was well equipped. It was a lovely place to stay. I would recommend anyone that is in the area to stay with Natalie. 10/10 stay.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at the Pavilion recently made all the better by Will’s fantastic hospitality. The Pavilion itself has been renovated beautifully. It’s cosy, comfortable and has everything you could need. It was the perfect place to stay in what is a stunning part of the country.

A superb venue for an all too rare holiday for the extended family. Very quiet and extremely comfortable. We went to Out of Bounds to play bowling and mini golf which was a highlight for our family (ranging in age from 26 -88).

Laundry Barn - your rural retreat

MarcusRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a fantastic stay. Two of us came for a few days of walking and fresh air, and Mark and Jude’s place couldn’t have been better. It’s tucked away down a quiet lane, surrounded by beautiful countryside, peaceful and full of charm. The space itself was spotless, super comfortable, and really well done. The decor is tasteful and modern but still has a cosy, relaxed feel. We could tell a lot of care has gone into making the space welcoming. We were greeted by Mark when we arrived, and Jude had gone to the trouble of making some homemade cakes, which were absolutely delicious. It was such a lovely touch and instantly made us feel well looked after. Mark and Jude were warm and helpful, and it set the tone for a really relaxed stay. After a day out exploring, the Laundry Barn was the perfect place to come back to, whether sitting out in the back garden or relaxing on the balcony with a view. We left feeling properly recharged and would love to return.
