Holiday rentals with a hot tub in Nicholas County

This was a great location for a weekend visit to the Summersville Lake area. The house has several great areas (indoors and outdoors) for gathering and relaxing. And the location made for easy visits to the lake as well as to Fayetteville for dining and shopping.

This place was AMAZING and we will most definitely stay again! The location was close to our family which made it very convenient for us visiting from Ohio. The home was immaculate - not a speck of dust or dirt anywhere! it smelled wonderful and had so many different amenities - it truly was like staying at your house away from home! There was plenty of room for our family to crash and also lots of places for the kids to play. The beds were SO comfy - better than my bed at home 😂 Plenty of clean linens and a huge kitchen which is great if you'd like to cook on your trip and save $$. The hot tub under the stars was such a a special addition as well, with a big backyard for kids to run around in. Big driveway so lots of parking. Stephen was super friendly and helpful to us - answered all of our [probably silly] questions almost instantly and was very patient with us. He was also flexible and kind about us having some extra family members there. All around wonderful trip and space!

Lovely stay. Beautiful surroundings. We loved the porch areas and the fire pit. There’s no dishwasher but we just got paper plates later on. There’s a ton of plates, mugs, appliances, silverware and such. There was also only seating for 4. This was pictured in the listing but important to note if you are coming with 6 people. 20 minutes from Canyon Rim Visitors Center which was amazing. Good amenities for a baby. Overall loved our stay and we would stay here again.

The main thing that stood out was the house was very clean when I arrived. The cleaners did a great job. Location was perfect and secluded, while still being close to everything. Gravel road leading to the house is pretty rough so AWD, 4WD, or high clearance vehicle is definitely recommended. Front office was very helpful and eager to help. Would definitely recommend and consider coming back!

Best game room ever! The house is well appointed with great drive through parking. We spent a lot of time playing board games and eating family dinners at the huge table in the sunroom. Our favorite area by far was the game room. There was so much to do. We’re a group of parents and young adults and we all enjoyed it. Myla was an excellent host and very responsive from booking to check out.

The home was lovely, clean, and well maintained. We enjoyed our stay. We were able to sit on the porch and relax in the hot tub. The kitchen was well stocked and we heated some of our own meals. We were thankful for a nice stay!

Kim was an incredible host! Her attention to detail throughout the home was second to none. Her property is beautiful and peaceful, but close to everything we wanted to do. We were there to explore the New River Gorge NP and we did not have to travel far to any trailheads or for whitewater rafting. All of her restaurant recommendations were spot on, and we really enjoyed exploring the neighboring towns. Coming back to the hot tub after a day of hiking or rafting was so nice! We enjoyed watching the deer and turkeys (both with lots of babies) and the sunsets from the porch. The home was cozy and well stocked with anything we could possibly need, and Kim made sure we were happy and well taken care of. We stay in Airbnbs all over the US and Canada, and this is, by far, one of the best! I would give it 10 stars if I could! Thank you, Kim, for providing such a wonderful and beautiful place to call home for a few days.

What a beautiful property! The views from this cabin are breathtaking, especially in the morning with the fog in the mountains. The cabin is incredibly cozy, rustic and eccentric. It has a personality all of its own and you can tell it is very well loved. Comfy beds and great water pressure in the shower. Everything felt and looked clean. The hosts were very responsive and we met Alan when he was tending to the chickens - he is so friendly and great for conversation! New River Gorge National Park and Fayetteville are within 15 minutes of this cabin, along with all the fun activities. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone visiting this area. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We loved our stay here to explore Summersville Lake! Sarah put a lot of attention and detail to the decor in the space. We loved the extra amenities like the hot tub and washer/dryer. We would definitely stay here again!

We live about 45 min away and decided last minute to go to Summersville Lake and stay a couple Of days so I could spend time with my kids and grand baby. There were only a couple of rentals available last minute and Darien’s was one of them. He got it cleaned from prior guests quickly so we could check in only a few hours later. The house has plenty of things for a family to do and the grand baby loved the swing set in the front yard. We spent most of our free time at the lake so didn’t get to enjoy the hot tub or wood fire pit although we did sit a few minutes by the propane firepit. The coffee bar was nice and stocked well and the porch swing was great for morning coffee. Darien had the rate marked down some for last minute bookers. The rate is high in my opinion but its proximity to the lake is likely the reason. We had a great stay and would recommend it to anyone who may be planning a lake vacation.

The cabin is beautiful. It is definitely not for people taller than 5'5 there is not much space between the floor and ceiling. The decorations are absolutely gorgeous. It was pretty quiet however there were a lot of other cabins/houses on the property which is not listed in the details of the ad. The hot tub didn't stay hot so we only used it once. I would definitely recommend fixing it or replacing it for future guests. Other than those two minor details Skippers cabin is a great place to stay for a weekend getaway.

We came down to whitewater raft and zipline with Adventures on the Gorge. The cabin was so close to Adventures on the Gorge. It is nice and secluded, and has everything you need for your getaway! The hottub was great after a long day of adventuring. The host gave great local recommendations and even stopped by our first night to see if we needed anything. Our two boys (10 and 12) enjoyed the woods around the cabin. The personal touches were amazing- fresh flowers on the table, fresh baked cookies, and souvenir glasses to take home! I have stayed many places, but this one is a favorite for sure!

Lovely cabin in a national park. Grounds and house were tidy and well maintained. Wrap around deck was perfect for unwinding after rafting or hiking. Hot tub is huge! We had a female box turtle hang around the yard for our entire stay. If you like nature and peace and quiet this place is perfect.

The cabin is very cozy and clean! Our pup loved the backyard!

The first thing we noticed upon entering Papaw’s cabin was the cleanliness and freshness of the cabin. The location was convenient to the NRG area yet also was a private retreat. We enjoyed the hot tub and stargazing. Thank you Kristi for being a great host.

I had an amazing stay! Gary was very responsive to messages and very friendly. The cabin was beautiful and in a very peaceful location! Very clean and well maintained! I would definitely stay here again!
