“Shelly and Chris’s place was a perfect getaway for two with unparalleled access to the world class recreation in this part of West Virginia. The animals were a ton of fun to observe and visit with, especially after reading each animal’s cute narrative in the welcome manual. The rooster and peacock’s calls might bother some, but for me it was comforting and brought me back to my rural roots. My girlfriend was glad to use the ear plugs thoughtfully provided by Shelly. We were so lucky to find this unique Airbnb and we’ve recommended it to several friends already!”

“This place really is spectacular in every way. We chose it for a weekend getaway from the world, for our 5 year anniversary, and it fit everything we were looking for! The location is stunning — directly across from the Potomac, right in the middle of nature, but what surprised us most was the town it was located near — Shepherdstown was an absolutely amazing little place! The hosts provided us with some information on places within the town and we took advantage of that — the town was warm, friendly, full of decorations for support during COVID and Pride Month, and the history of its welcoming nature was awesome to learn! As for the Airbnb itself — the place was incredibly cute. We loved sitting on the balcony every morning drinking tea and drinking wine at night, we loved all the books, games, and dvds, and all of the little meaningful touches that made it a great house to stay in. It would be hard to name everything we enjoyed about our stay, but from the hosts, to the location, to the house itself, 100%, 10/10 recommended for anyone looking for a great stay!”

“This was the perfect rural retreat for us city-dwellers. Felt refreshingly isolated! I think the place looks better than pictures posted too! Great natural lighting. The streaming devices, hot tub and “Welcome” wine bottle were all nice treats! Our dog was also in heaven here and we enjoyed walking the street circle many times during our stay. Just be aware of the ticks (Although quickly searching him after outside runs was well worth his happiness!!) Thanks again Jim!”
