This is a renovated 100-year-old traditional Japanese house located at the foot of the mountains by the sea in Nanaura, Echigo, available for rent as a whole. It's too simple to call it a traditional Japanese house, but it looks old and new. I hope you will remember this pleasant feeling as one of your travel memories. This is the Mase coast in Nishikan-ku, Niigata City (formerly Iwamuro Village). 25 minutes by car from Hokurikudo Makari IC and 35 minutes from Sanjo Tsubame IC.The horizon of Echigo Nanaura stretches out below. A morning walk on a deserted beach. A hiking trail that feels like you're in the world of Studio Ghibli. This guest house, which has been revived by combining the old and the new, taking advantage of the characteristics of the old private house, which is a traditional Japanese construction method, not only enjoys the taste of the old private house that is currently attracting attention, but also enjoys extraordinary healing with a sauna and a natural mountain water bath in the great nature. Villa Igashima is located in a mountainous area surrounded by cedar and bamboo forests. The Igarashi area of Aga-cho, in particular, is known as one of the heaviest snowfall areas in the Shimokita region, and this is a traditional old house that has endured in that environment for a long time. Taking advantage of the beams, pillars, and fittings of such historic buildings, we recreated a new form of Japanese landscape in harmony with modern design, while giving the feeling of an old-fashioned Japanese house. This house overlooks Lake Nojiri and has a superb view. There are several ski resorts (Myoko, Kurohime, Madarao) about 15-20 minutes away by car, making it a perfect base for winter sports. Enjoy the wood stove sauna and the water bath with a view. There are no private houses around, so you can listen to music and watch movies loudly. Because it is a house located deep in the mountains, we take the best measures, but in the warm season, insects come out. It snows a lot in winter. In autumn, fallen leaves dance. You will also need to adjust the wood stove fire yourself. It's not an easy house to live in, but we promise you a great view and experience. Enjoy cooking with a counter kitchen with a view, condiments and cooking utensils. (There is no equipment for BBQ)
