Holiday houses in Nisa

It was a very nice cottage, small, but everything was in good material, nice shower, nicely decorated with nice wood details. We slept wonderfully with the windows open and the sound of the river, otherwise it was completely quiet at night. Outside nice terraces, wonderfully seated with our feet in the river, a fantastic environment, completely unobstructed views at the back of the house and a lovely hamlet. We walked every day for half an hour to Gois, a beautiful village with river and delicious pastries at the paladeria. We thought it was very nice!

Where do I start. Well first off, we arrived in the middle of the nationwide blackout. I could not text Paula that we were on the way nor did we have service to find the place. BUT we did!! And oh my, the place is gorgeous, right in the middle of the mountains. There was no electricity because of that national blackout but Paula was a star, sheltering us the best she could in a crisis! She’s such an incredible host. We drank wine and ate cheese, slept in the most comfortable bed and woke up to the miracle of electricity. STAY HERE. Even without electricity it’s the greatest Airbnb I’ve ever been to.

Leonor is a wonderful caring and warm person. She took great care of us during our stay by being available to our questions about the area, welcoming us warmly in her place with some tea and local specialties, bringing us fresh bread in the morning, eggs from her hens, lettuce from her garden, fair well plater as we left… the place is everything described on the add and it was very welcoming to arrive to a warm fire place as the weather was very rainy and cold. Such a wonderful stay!!! Thank you so much and I highly recommend Leonor’s place if you come in this beautiful region!

The accommodation was very clean, the surrounding area with a vegetable garden and animals is a plus, as well as the saltwater pool. Suitable for families with children. Mr. Zé and Mrs. Clara are very friendly and always available. Thanks. Almeida Rebelo Family.

The space is excellent for a getaway for two, very quiet and well decorated. D. Rosa was always available to meet our requests, with a delicious breakfast every morning, always with different and delicious varieties of bread. I recommend the Alamal and Barca da Amieira footbridges, which are very close. Just note that the house will not be suitable for those who have some mobility problems, and I would recommend an oven/microwave to increase the easy options in the kitchen, there are not many restaurants in the area (but there is a supermarket in Envendos and Mação).

The house met expectations. The hostess Ana is very friendly and accessible. Very quiet area with super cute animals nearby. We loved our stay!

We had a perfect stay at John’s yurt. The yurt was very well equipped, and we had everything we needed. The area was also very beautiful and a perfect place to watch the sunset and stars. We are extremely appreciative of John and family’s hospitality and warmth, not to mention going above and beyond when we had a flat tire in the morning! Definitely recommend! Thanks so much for having us, hope we will be back one day :))

Just blown away by our stay at Casa dos Galegos. Daniel was so friendly and helpful and the little touches he brought such as the welcome basket and sweet treats and cherries from his land during the week really made it feel extra special. The space is beautifully designed and super comfortable, inside and out, the inside has high end hotel touches while the outside is the perfect place to relax all day in such beautiful surroundings. I’m a cat lover and absolutely loved being surrounded by such happy, friendly cats mostly sleeping sweetly in any shade they can find! The surrounding area is stunning and we loved exploring all the nearby villages and popping over the border to Spain for tapas! We started most days with a hike of which there are plenty of well marked trails and perfect sized routes of 5-7km as well as longer ones for the more adventurous (and less hot days!!)
