Family-friendly holiday rentals in Nishi Ward

I can't say enough about Kazuya and Maila's place! We were really looking for a place we could call home during our 10-day stay. We wanted an immersive experience in a quiet neighborhood that would serve as a base for all of the things we wanted to do and places we wanted to go. I was traveling with 3, 21-year-olds who wanted the tatami sleeping experience, but I was happy to have my own bedroom and space that was a little more western in nature. The neighborhood was delightful! It was so quiet and we could sleep with the windows open. We sometimes walked to the closest train station and sometimes took a taxi (less than $10 USD). Getting to Tokyo Station was super easy and getting to Disney was easier. Just like described. They were also very helpful with a couple things we needed during our stay that required native speakers. They made a couple phone calls and made some reservations for us that we would have found difficult on our own. Would not hesitate to book with them again!

Nori-san's place is great, it has everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The location is great, you'll be close to many shops and restaurants while also being close to the train station to explore more of Tokyo. Nori-san also provided good recommendations close by which was appreciated. No complaints, I would stay here again if I get the chance.

Both the scallor and the family are very kind and friendly, and we are grateful for the situation and requests.We had delicious tea from the day of arrival and a lot of hospitality afterwards.The room was also a very nice room and it was not an entire floor but we had a comfortable stay.It's close to the station. It was helpful.

Such a great find! The flat is stunning and looks exactly as described, spacious and very nicely designed and decorated. The area is also very vibrant, loads of restaurant and the host kindly provide a long list of places to go

I honestly don’t know where to begin. Staying in Keiko’s home was truly one of the greatest honors of our time in Japan—it was a highlight of the entire trip. From the moment we walked through her door, we were immersed in Japanese culture. Keiko greeted us with warmth and kindness, making us feel immediately at home. She patiently guided us through everything, showing us how to use her space with care and respect. Her home is a reflection of her spirit—graceful, serene, and full of beauty. I was deeply moved and inspired by her presence and generosity. Being invited to take part in her traditional Japanese tea ceremony was an experience I will never forget. She took the time to teach us the rituals and meaning behind each step, explaining everything with such clarity and heart. She dressed us in beautiful kimonos, carefully helping us put them on the correct way. Drinking matcha that was pure and fresh—words fail me. It was unlike anything I’ve ever tasted. Gimmicky. I want to get that out of the way right now. This property is capitalizing off of having an onsen nearby with traditional looking Japanese bedding and decor. That's what got me, and it might be what's getting you...I would say that's probably not worth it. The place itself is fine. The bedding is fine, but in the end I chose this place over other cheaper options for the novelty, I feel I could have gotten a little bit better value elsewhere, but still overall happy with what I got and what I paid. I used the onsen once during my two week stay. I really like onsens, but this one is small, busy, and I just wasn't a fan. Service was awesome. He spoke great English, and helped me bring my heavy luggage up the stairs to my room. Overall, despite starting out critical here, this place is really nice and I like the quiet area next to nice walking paths. Lastly, I wish the place had a small dining table and chairs. You basically have to eat at a small low table on the floor.

Again we had a brilliant time at Akari san's apartment this year, Staying Akari san's place is one of highlight of our trip. The reason for this is not only the flat's location, size, layout and ease of use, I always feel at home. The rooms had been renovated and I could feel the story behind Akari's new design in many places. The linen textured walls and the kintsugi (gold-plated wood joinery) that connects the before and after renovation made it clear how much Akari cares about this room and the guests who stay here. The linen was clean and comfortable, and most importantly, every time she remembered that my daughter and I wanted to sleep in separate areas, and was thoughtful enough to set up a comfortable bed in the living room for us. The only drawback is that this room is too popular and it is difficult to book the expected number of days. This can't be helped, but we hope to be able to stay a little longer next year than we did this year.

We had a great stay, it was very spacious which was great for us as we had our baby with us. Kotaro is a friendly, thoughtful and helpful host.

We had a very nice time in Nobu-san and Tatsuya-san apartment and really enjoyed our stay. The apartment was superbly furnished and Shibuya can be reached comfortably within 15-20 minutes on foot. Communication was just as fabulous. Thank you for your hospitality :) Best regards, Enrico

Yukari was more than a host, she is a friend. She is kind, friendly, helpful and very responsive. She picked us up at the station and also dropped us off when we departed. Japan is a great place to visit for its beauty, culture and especially the people. It’s our number one favorite country to come back again and again Thank you Yukari for allowing us to stay at your place and for being so nice to us

Yuki is very responsive and helpful! The area was perfect for our stay. Yuki told us about a festival that would be happening while we were there and it was an incredible experience! Yuki provided clear instructions on how to use the A/C, the washing machine, etc. She is a lovely and thoughtful host!

Looked at plenty of choices, but wished for a quieter neighborhood with close enough access to the sites & walkable to subway. Every household amenity was available for the visitor's use in the kitchen area and bathrooms. No sundries needed to be packed.Owner even left us some extra snacks, drink and fresh flowers as a wonderful welcoming. Free coffee at the lovely Reise cafe nearby arranged by the owner for his guest's. Japan will always be the safest, most ethical, polite, mindful country in the world, and the neighborhood rose to the occasion with the police station nearby. So safe, even walking late at night. Lawson nearby for food/snacks. (also, 7/11 for atm) Walked to Asakusa and Kappabashi, and subway station which was terrific. If loaded down with purchases, order gotaxi and it was a quick ride to the home from the station. Loved the place for our family. Please be mindful that the narrow stairs are very typical here. Having the extra space in a Japanese home is a gift.

Wonderful stay at Cathy's place. It was such a great experience - Cathy is so kind, helpful and easy to communicate with, one of the best hosts I have ever come across. I really appreciated her practical tips on logistics, she was even gracious enough to allow for a late checkout, which really made a huge difference to my last day in Tokyo. And I loved Cathy's place too - it has a very authentic, local feel to it - and I (almost) felt like a local living there. It is an oasis of peace and quite, so very welcome when you get a total sensory overstimulation after visiting Tokyo's hotspots. The area is very residential and very safe, even when walking late at night. I always looked forward to coming back to 'my' little place to rest and chill after busy days of sightseeing etc. My only regret is that I couldn't stay longer, but I will definitely be going back to Tokyo, to Cathy's place for sure.

The neighborhood is very friendly and welcoming. It’s conveniently located close to the train station and offers all necessary amenities. The place is clean and well-maintained, making it a great choice for a comfortable stay.

Don’t be put off by the rules- be respectful and this is a great stay. Nice and quiet and close to many food places and stations. The host is very helpful and responsive and even offered to make a restaurant reservation for us. We loved our stay!

The host was very friendly, the time changed and helped me refund my money right away, so I spoke very well and was very welcoming.The room is very spacious. Getting around is also more convenient. It is still very satisfactory in all aspects.

Very clean place. About 13 minutes from the nearest station. I enjoyed the AC, amenities such as a kettle and toothbrush, among other things.

This place was perfect! Very close to the train station, great location. The apartment was sizable and very clean. We felt right at home immediately. I will definitely recommend this spot to anyone who plans to visit Tokyo!
