The name "Ootan" we wanted to create an inn where you can encounter landscapes, air, people, words, and stories you have never encountered before. It is a two-story Japanese house. There is a kitchen and dining room on the first floor, and two shower rooms. An authentic Japanese style house in Uzumasa, a movie town with the famous studios where the great Japanese movies have been made. I would like to introduce to you a house belonged to my aunt “Omine”(pronounced oh-me-nay), which has just been beautifully renovated. My auntie was a noted “Shamisen” guitar player and she appeared in many movies and TV dramas. Now her home and its rooms, where she practiced her “Shamisen”, have been converted for a comfortable stay.
