We loved staying in John and Brady’s caboose Airbnb! We flew to Lock Haven for this year’s Sentimental Journey, it was our first time in the area. I was very happy with how close their place was to everywhere we needed to go, and it was so cozy to come back to at the end of the day. I enjoyed reading all the little pieces of history around the train car and in the information center out front. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to our friends! Thank you again!

We really enjoyed our stay in the Mo-Pac caboose on your beautiful and peaceful ranch. It was such a unique experience—quiet, relaxing, and a great way to disconnect. Very thankful for this quaint experience! The kids loved the toys and the very kind neighbor helped make sure we had chargers for all the electric toys.

We spent a surprise birthday weekend in the Railcar for my husband. My husband is a a huge rail fan which made this gift a no brainer. We boated, swam, kayaked, fished, hung out by the firepit and made great memories. We even spotted a Bald Eagle soaring over the water.

We had a great time. A quiet place in the country, close to decorah. Lots of recommendations were given and helpful.

Beautiful location, place as described. Jacuzzi was great. Lots of hot water. Good water pressure, good shower. Bed was comfortable. Donnie was helpful and responsive.

Clean! Smelled great too. Geat distance (within 10min) to hiking (Ash Cave) in one direction and then a pizzeria with all kinds of drinks and snacks in the other. On a fairly traveled road in front, but also a great small space to explore right behind and firepit. Well kept! It was great for our young family. Very fun.

This was our second time staying at one of Randy’s Airbnbs and it was just perfect. First time staying in the Caboose and we LOVED it. I could have stayed for weeks! Randy and OJ think of every little thing and the places are always clean and comfortable. We look forward to coming back.

What a wonderful place to get away and enjoy the beauty of nature. The fields, the flowers, the fireflies, and the cows made the experience! The setting was so beautiful and well thought out, and the caboose was renovated perfectly. Deb was such a wonderful host and the fresh eggs, bread, and smores kit was an extra special surprise. The Little Red Caboose was the perfect place for our weekend with our 3 year old! The space was so cute and the history behind it was so interesting to read! You can tell there was a lot of work and love put into it. Would definitely recommend and we hope to stay again in the future.

I loved the place. I also like history , so to stay in a restored caboose was great. Bryan did a great job making this tiny space into a home. All the decorations had historical connections. He left UR codes to scan, so you could hear all about them..

Such a unique Airbnb with beautiful surroundings. We had a great time at the tasting room and Brew Haus. All of the staff were wonderful. The food at the Brew Haus was great. Would recommend!

We had a unique, charming and a cozy stay at the Caboose with our 6 year old. The large fenced in backyard allowed plenty of space to spread out and was stocked with several backyard games. The interior was immaculate with everything well thought out. The large bathroom was a nice addition as well. The location allowed for easy visits to the city as well to waterfall country. There's also a great operating manual I'd recommend reading through to make the most of your stay. Looking forward to visiting again on our next trip to the area.

This was a very unique stay! Even though it is tight quarters there was actually ample room for 6 of us and storage. The beds were comfy and lots of fun details. Kitchen was functional for small meal prep. The oven wasn’t working while we were there, but we made due and were still able to prep meals. Having three full baths in such a small space was a luxury! The outside seating was great, and plenty of room to relax after sight seeing!

Third time’s the charm! We never regret staying at Alex’s place and look forward to our next booking at the train cars. The place is amazing, the views are incredible, and Alex is a great host. If you’re thinking about booking with Alex, do it! You will not be disappointed.

The caboose is super cute and whimsical. It is a rustic “cabin” but had everything necessary. The couch is uncomfortable so don’t plan a long lazy vacation watching movies. But it is a great jumping off place for the activities in the area. The caboose cupola made for a perfect morning coffee spot and afternoon reading nook!

Celebrated my son’s 3rd birthday and it was a perfect stay. My son and 20 month old daughter loved watching the trains outside, in the lookout, and playing dominos. What a special place! Plenty of linens, easy communication with the host, comfortable bed, short drive to town, and Tehachapi train loop. We forgot to bring our charger for our car, but the host did say we were able to use the outdoor outlet. We can’t wait to come back!

Exceeded expectations! Our family had a great time in May and will definitely go back for a fall trip too. All of the features and details inside the train were so neat. The den / kitchen area was more spacious than I expected. I was afraid it may feel a little claustrophobic but it didn't at all. The specific local recommendations provided were great. We have small children and weren't able to utilize the river much as there isn't flat / cleared ground beside it and the water was moving pretty rapidly during our stay, but we still had lots to do without the river. Definitely worth visiting!!

This place exceeded all my expectations. It was spotless, conveniently located, and I loved the sound of trains passing by. The check-in process was effortless, and the check-out instructions were clear. Finding an Airbnb this great is rare, and I’ll definitely be requesting to stay here again.

We’re in love with this wonderful caboose. Railroading is a generational passion in my family. Personally, I have been a railroader since I was two years of age, and now I’m in my mid-thirties. I am happy to report that my three-year-old son has taken up the mantle. As an Athens resident, you can imagine my interest when I saw an authentic caboose being delivered to its current location. As soon as the listing went live, I knew we had to celebrate my boy’s third birthday at the caboose. It was a dream come true for him! My wife and I stayed with our two young boys, and it was so delightful. It’s a perfect combination of installing modern comforts and preservation of what makes the caboose feel like it was a part of railroad history on the Illinois Central. John and Beth were remarkably kind and hospitable. We are so grateful for providing such a wonderful experience. Thank you so much!

We came for a nearby wedding with our 4 and 7yo girls and they freaked out at how amazing it was to stay in these refurbished cars. What a delight to be part of history in this way - truly a one of a kind experience. Beware that it's in a cornfield, and there are bugs, and there is dust. But you know that already if you are traveling to Iowa! Par for the course. Karla was friendly and easy to communicate with. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom was extremely clean and the shower was dreamy. We visited during a heat advisory so the air conditioning had a bit of trouble keeping up, but I would say it's an exceptional case. Everything was just as described. We loved our stay and would 10/10 recommend.

It was the perfect place to stay for me and my daughter to stay a few days. It felt like the back yard was private and we enjoyed sitting and swimming. The breakfasts were AMAZING! We will definitely be back when we come to Lubbock again.

We had a great stay here for our first time in Hocking Hills. The Caboose had everything modern that we needed while still enjoying the outdoors. My wife loved the flower garden and the feeling that you were in a treehouse from the deck/hot tub area. Courtney's place is extremely clean and close to trails, restaurants, etc. She answered any questions we had promptly. We had a great time and plan to visit again.
