The Chef’s Shed - a farm stay

Situated in "cool country" Trentham, the Chef’s Shed was originally built in 1860, and has been lovingly transformed into a cosy, spacious and unique place to stay. It has quirky living spaces, including a loft, and wide, stunning views over the land around, even from the private sauna which can be used for a modest fee. From here you can explore the region. We are surrounded by nature, and a few minutes from The Falls and historic Trentham with cafes, pubs, walking tracks and a lot of history.

With an open plan layout , a mezzanine , and three bedrooms , it’s perfect for for singles, couples , families and groups . The property also offers guests a sauna , a spa , and wonderful yard and gardens. Nestled between the Lerderderg State Park and the Wombat State Forest , the property has a wonderful bush aspect and is frequented by many gorgeous bird species as well as kangaroos and wombats.

The Retreat is nestled in an idyllic country setting in Trentham East, a short drive to Daylesford, Kyneton and Woodend. It’s attached to the main building but has its own entrance and no shared internal spaces. It offers 1 bedroom with ensuite, a bright open-plan living area, a fully equipped kitchen, and a covered deck with peaceful views over farmland, forest and water. Ideal for 2 guests (sleeps up to 4). Note: a CCTV camera at the front of the property that monitors the driveway for safety.
