Crystals place was absolutely tremendous to stay in from start to finish. Check in was a breeze using the smart lock. The place was in pristine condition, everything as see in the pictures + some. The entire guesthouse was very clean and fashionable. My partner and I were pleasantly surprised to find little treats and some drinks upon arrival which was a sweet touch. I’d also like to mention how effortless communication with the owners were - crystal would always reply in minutes and was a simple few steps away if we needed anything. She also completely respected our privacy and while I don’t mind seeing a few friendly faces - I know some people do appreciate solitude. I also found the location to be perfect, just a 2min drive to the main square on water street. Overall wonderful place. I would definitely stay here again when in shelburne.

A wonderful stay in one of our favourite parts of the province. The place was clean and tidy, equipped with everything you'll need and the beds were all very comfortable - my son was a big fan of the bunk bed. It was also a pleasant surprise for my son to a finda selection of games and kids books, which he made good use of in quieter times. Silka is also quick to respond to any questions you might have, though we had little need of that as all information we needed to enjoy our stay was provided. The location is fantastic. You could easily kill the whole day just hanging out in the back yard, combing the beach, but you're also within striking distance of numerous sandy beaches and coastal communities, so there's plenty of ways to fill your days.

Nancy and Darren’s place was a slice of paradise. Our 2 big dogs, my husband and myself loved our time at the Red Door Barn. We started our mornings at Louis Head beach, located a short 5 minutes car ride. We had the beach for ourselves and our dogs loved playing fetch on the beautiful stretch of sand. The Red Door Barn is impeccable and Nancy thought of every little detail. It’s beautifully decorated. Extremely clean. And just perfect. We loved the extra dog friendly touches such as the doggie treats, the water bowl, the blankets and the big basket near the door full of little surprises. The kitchen is fully equipped. We cooked Lobster from the Wharf several times during our 12 nights stay. I highly recommend staying at The Red Door Barn. We can’t wait to come back.

Our family of six adults really enjoyed this beautiful, well-appointed house — particularly the location. This new home has incredible views and we spent considerable time enjoying the wildlife that came into the cove. The hot tub, sauna, croquet set, and kayaks were really special added bonuses of which we took advantage. The house had everything we needed in regard to linens, kitchen items, and entertainment. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. The location was very private and peaceful — we didn’t see another person save some friendly waves from passing boats. We drove about 25 minutes for a dinner in Shelburne and visited Digby (2 hours away) and Mahone Bay (~1.5 hours away) while we were there, but also — because of the beautiful setting — ended up spending more time at the house than originally intended. Highly recommend!

Tranquil cabin to disconnect on the South Shore! Beautiful property, where we loved our multiple walks to the beach during our stay. Fall asleep to the sound of waves crashing onto the shore. Perfect spot for a getaway!

Sarah and Jonathan are simply the most wonderful hosts! From the moment I arrived, they made me feel incredibly welcomed into their lovely loft. Their hospitality truly goes above and beyond – they even reached out to see if I wanted any haddock when they had a delivery planned, which was such a thoughtful gesture! The welcome gift was also thoughtful. The loft itself is simply perfect. It's beautifully designed and equipped with absolutely everything you could need to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. I felt right at home. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and highly recommend their place to anyone looking for a fantastic experience. Thank you, Sarah and Jonathan, for an unforgettable stay!

We came for a week to do a bit of business and a lot of R&R. The home was clean, well furnished and with comfortable beds. Great launch point for day trips and cozy place to wind down in the evenings. Amanda offered clear instructions for getting to and into the house, local requirements for household waste and recycling and was very responsive to texts. Would definitely recommend! Idyllic location, cute little spot with amazing views and super friendly hosts. We also had a lovely paddle on the water which added to the experience. Don't be put off by the sofa bed, it was really comfy. We'll be back!
