Townhouse holiday rentals in North Kona

We had a wonderful stay! The condo was in a lovely area with an ocean view and walking distance to a nice shopping center where we grabbed coffee each morning. The accommodations were beautiful and clean and equipped with everything we needed and more! The garage was stocked with beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers and sand toys for guests to enjoy. The bbq wasn’t working the day we tried it, but was quickly swapped out the following day for a brand new one. We had a lovely time and would definitely stay again!

We spent 8 nights here, and found it to be perfect for our family of five (our kids are two teenagers and an 11yo). The kitchen had everything we could need/want, and then some--and the same was true for the enertainment/activity supplies (board games, Roku, beach chairs and towels, snorkeling equipment, tennis rackets/balls and a basketball and even a couple scooters). The pool and hot tub were beautiful (although the low-key vibe of the pool rules was a bit disappointing for our 11yo--but we made up for it by purchasing a day pass for the nearby Hilton pool a couple days), and the bar and restaurant at the pool were very good. Staff were friendly and helpful. We did our best to see the whole island, and this was a great home base for the week.

The house was perfect for our large group. Six bedrooms had ample space for everyone, and 4 bathrooms made it easy for everyone to get showers in very little time. Both kitchens had more than enough cookware and even some basic spices. Bathrooms had plenty of towels, toilet paper, and some basic toiletries. There were plenty of beach towels, boogie boards, swim masks, snorkel masks, coolers, and beach toys for our group to have fun at the beaches as well. Check in was easy with the key code on the door, which also made it easy for people in our large group to come and go independently. Host was friendly, accommodating, and easy to talk to. Good location. The younger adults on our group were able to go into town independently to enjoy Kona on their own. Reasonably priced, and would stay here again Our only criticism is that the air conditioners listed were just tower fans. We were ok for our stay in April, but a stay in the summer months without air conditioning would be problematic.

We had an amazing stay at Chris and Nancy’s piece of paradise! The location was perfect, close to nearby beaches but also tucked away from the hustle of downtown Kona. The private lanai and view from the master bedroom are spectacular. The neighbors are also kind and welcoming which added to a great stay. We’re so grateful to Chris and Nancy for hosting us and would absolutely love to return in the future!

I can’t recommend Seth’s place highly enough. Everything exceeded our expectations. The condo was extremely clean, and so beautiful. The kitchen was very well stocked and had everything we could have needed. There was plenty of toilet paper, paper towels and soap/shampoo and conditioner which is so appreciated. The beds were so comfortable! Seth was a very gracious host, keeping a line of communication open our entire stay, and making sure we had everything we needed. If you are looking for somewhere to book and think this place might be for you, quit looking and book this place now!!! Everything about it is perfect! Our only regret is not having more time there.

Fabulous tropical getaway! Wonderfully clean condo with great amenities. It was luxurious to have three bedrooms and three bathrooms, with a well stocked kitchen and beautiful lani! We enjoyed making many meals and mai tais and watching beautiful sunsets. Swam and hot tubed nearly every night and made use of the gym as well. Location is ideal for south Kona snorkeling access and we went to Two Step and Kahalu’u multiple times. So happy to have found Peter and Kathy’s place and would highly recommend it!

Simply put beautiful place. Horses came by for a head scratch from next door. The local critters running around. The frogs chirping all night this place was amazing. He had pictures a boogey board that I took full advantage of as well as other beach equipment for the stay. Hula daddy is walking distance if you want that famous Kona coffee. 10 out of 10 highly recommend for anyone that wants the slow pace of the country and within 20 min you got every amenity known to Kona.

Jessi's home is a great option for families to stay in the Northwest part of the big island. The Fairways development where the house is located is very nice, and an easy drive to the excellent beach club, a few restaurants, a grocery store, Hapuna Beach State Park, and a 25 minute drive to the town of Waimea. The house had all the cooking items we needed, and we appreciated some of the smaller things like having plenty of paper towels, zip lock bags, laundry detergent & dryer sheets (the small stuff that is great when it's there in a rental home, and super annoying when it is not). Jessi's communication was fine, and the on-island contact made sure everything was in order as well. We would stay at the home again!

Really peaceful, private spot with great amenities and proximity to great beaches. Extremely well appointed with high end furniture and appliances. Pool is right across the street. Everything you need for the beach (chairs, umbrella, cooler, boogie boards, etc). Overall a wonderful spot that we would be happy to visit again.

This was our second stay at Sandra’s place and we loved it! Sandra’s place is clean and beautiful. We enjoyed looking for geckos and mongooses on the lanai.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property was very clean and is located in a beautiful neighbourhood. The condo is quite spacious and we really appreciated the fully equipped kitchen. It was super convenient having beach chairs and towels available to use. If you want to pass on the beach, the pool area is lovely. There were lots of recommendations and suggestions in the guest book and we found several great restaurants nearby. The hosts were very proactive, but everything was so well organized that we had no need to contact them. I would highly recommend this property.

Really enjoyed our stay. Great location directly across from snorkeling. Loved sitting on balcony for morning coffee, watching surfers, or just watching sun go down over the ocean. Hosts are very responsive and also provide very helpful local recommendations for variety of things. We referenced their suggestions through the handy link almost every day. Beach essentials are included with the place as well.

We were pleased with this unit. Literally walk 20 feet off the back patio and you are at the pool. Everything was as advertised. We are repeat customers to the Fairways and Mauna Lani and have always had a great experience. This visit was no different. Already returning in May to the Fairways. We did have some trouble with the front door cypher lock which was handled by our contact in short order. Had trouble as after entering the code to lock the door you could press a button and it would let you back in which was not how it should work. Our contact was able to rectify the situation in a couple of days, which was satisfactory. After that the lock worked as it should with no further issues. We appreciate our contact for working with us on this. I hope we held up our end on checkout. Hope to return to Laura's unit again soon. P.S. the master bath left sink hot water faucet is dripping. It needs a new cartridge and seals. Hate to waste water.

We had a wonderful time, the condo was beautiful. The grounds were beautiful. Ewa was very responsive to an AC issue, I text her and she had it fixed in no time. Thank you for sharing your this property with us, we would go back in a pinch.

Loved staying here! It was so nice to have the pool and tennis courts when we wanted to chill close to home. We could easily walk out to a small beach to watch the sunset and we walked the half mile to the larger public beach for some awesome snorkeling and surfing! It was a great place for us to stay and explore the Kona side of the island. Our hosts were very helpful and the place had everything we needed. Mahalo!

5 stars isn't enough! This place deserves 10! My wife and I had a wonderful time at Gails townhome. The location was great, the home was spotless and clean, the amenities were as described and advertized. Everything you need and more is there for cooking meals. The beach club was an extra special bonus that I overlooked on the listing site. A short 2 mile drive to a very calm, beautiful beach. We highly recommend this vacation rental. 10 stars!!!

the place was great! we had a great vacation! had a great view of the pool. I would highly recommend it for families. it was a very quiet place except for all the grounds maintain workers working nearly everyday. the house was lovely however i will share I felt it was a bit dark and the dishwasher didn't work great. but besides that it was very comfy, clean and a great price for the area! would recommend.

The accommodation was excellent, and hosts were responsive to questions on checking in with the lockbox system. The kitchen was well equipped and the view from our room was spectacular.

We loved our stay at Villa Lava. The check in and check out process was easy. The unit was beautiful. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need and there were lots of extras in the pantry. It came with everything you would need for a great day at the beach or pool. Janine was quick to respond to questions and she provided some great ideas for things to do and see in the area. All in all, I would rate it a 10 out of 10 and I look forward to a future visit.

We came to Kona for our oldest daughter’s wedding it was intimate, small & sweet. Usually when we come to HI time seems to slow down. This time around it was quick and short but we definitely felt right at home in Alexey Airbnb! Pictures were exactly how they looked clean and beautiful. He had just about everything you needed in the kitchen, rooms and bathrooms. We felt right at home. He had extra bedding, irons, a variety of coffee makers, tea kettle and even a slow cooker which came in handy! If I had to suggest something it would probably be a rice cooker other than that he really provided everything. I usually travel with my own shampoo/conditioner but I loved whatever brand they had. We’ve stayed in quite a few Airbnb but this so far was extremely the cleanest, roomiest and well decorated one! We were so comfortable we felt like we were right at home. We definitely need to make a trip back to this island and hopefully Alexey will welcome us back again! Thank you for your hospital

This home is fantastic! We absolutely enjoyed our stay, able to drive to the best beaches on the island only 10 minutes away at-most and able to enjoy a cozy home with a stocked kitchen and grill at night. The space has ample beach gear (chairs, coolers, snorkel masks) as well. The rice cooker for steaming local Lau Lau was the cherry on top!

I had a great stay at this place! The house is very nice, clean, and spacious, with a wide-open view that includes the coastline. The room is well-ventilated, which makes it quite cool at night. It even got a bit chilly, but the host was very responsible and thoughtfully brought us some extra blankets. There is plenty of parking available downstairs, which made it really convenient. Overall, I’m very satisfied with my stay and would highly recommend this place!

We really enjoyed our stay on the big island. We loved getting up early to watch the sun rise with the view of Mauna Kea and watching the sunset from different nearby beaches. Making the day trip to Hilo was fun and a great way to see more of the island. Caroline was a gracious host and a great communicator. We appreciated all of the details of the condo, including all of the beach and kitchen supplies. The home is incredibly comfortable and well stocked, with extra toiletries and towels. My family also enjoyed daily trips to the pool/hot tub. We would definitely stay here again when visiting the big island.
