Kona Reef D36, Direct Oceanfront! Top Floor! A/C

MerrieRating, 5 stars3 months ago
We immediately felt right at home and welcomed by Regina and Scott. From the well organized binder of information to every amenity one might need, this is THE place to spend a week. When not running out to the sites on the Big Island, this property will meet all your needs. The room was quiet and had easy access. We could easily walk to town or have dinner on our private lanai while watching the sunset. When the staff blows the conch shells at sunset, all will be right in your world.

Beach access + Downtown Kona + Pool + Hot Tub

MeradithRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had the most magical week at Maryanne's home, would 100% recommend - we'll be back! The condo is even better than photos, it's spacious, well furnished and equipped, cozy and has the most amazing view. This has to be one of the best spots on Ali'i drive because you have an unobstructed view of the ocean and you can walk across the street for tacos (every day), and fruit/flower/fresh baked goods on Fri/Sat/Sun -- and a few minutes down the road is Da Poke Shack... so good! It's really easy to jump in the car and head down to Magic Sands for some boogie boarding, our favorite morning activity. We came with our baby and 8 year old and the condo was perfect for our family of four. Although shades are not technically black out, they keep the rooms very dark and we rarely noticed any street noise. Loved the pool and we used the pool table a lot as well. Maryanne has a stocked closet full of beach goodies (snorkels, boogies, etc) as well as tons of beach towels. Overall, amazing!

Cozy Retreat w/ Hot Tub on Historic Homestead

AshleyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Sally's place did not disappoint--we so enjoyed being tucked away on the Big Island. There were plenty of nearby hikes and outdoor activities. It was also incredibly easy to just stay put and relax. We used the spot to get around to various locations on the island. We also had no issues driving back at night. Super great touches we appreciated, like having water shoes, snorkeling gear, and a cooler (all things we ended up using!). Appreciated the flexibility using the shared laundry machines. Sally also proactively offered a later check out on our last day since there was no on checking in. We hadn't planned on lingering, but ended up spending a little more time with our coffee next to the pond that morning!

Beautiful Ocean Views, Air Conditioning, Elevator

AbrahamRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We stayed at Betsy’s Airbnb for 8 days and had a fantastic time. The apartment is clean, spacious, and well-organized, with everything you’d need—including a fully equipped kitchen. The location is excellent: restaurants and stores are right next door, and downtown Kona is just a short walk away. The ABC Store is also just a couple of blocks away for convenience. The apartment is directly across from the ocean, offering beautiful views and the relaxing sound of waves. We were lucky to be there during King Kamehameha Day and watched the parade right from the balcony! The bedroom is quiet—we’re light sleepers and had no trouble sleeping. Betsy was a great host—very communicative and helpful. She provided detailed check-in instructions, and when we accidentally left something behind, she went out of her way to mail it back to us. Highly recommended!

OCEANFRONTsunsets! Crashing waves Beach!

IlyaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Wow! The location is amazing! Right next to one of the best beaches on the big island! There’s is also a great coffee shop and restaurant downstairs. The room/kitchen has everything you need and the bed and couch were comfy! Lots of beach gear available too! Chairs, umbrella, snorkel gear, boogie boards. Everything was super clean and organized! AC works great but it was even nicer sleeping with the windows open and hearing the waves crash below. Truly felt like sleeping on the beach! Sunsets were magical!

Oceanfront with AC @ Sea Village

MarinoRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
We wish we could give this place more than 5 stars because it was beyond what we imagined. We stayed as a family of four and it was the perfect place to be for a nice five days of vacation. There were two bathrooms and two showers as well as two private bedrooms. There is everything you need for comfort, extra blankets and towels to use. On top of that, the washer and dryer in unit was a gem.The kitchen is so well equipped that we cooked without trouble and ate at the dining table with an amazing view of the sea. The water is literally right outside the lanai with nothing blocking your view. We spent most of our time in the living room because of the beautiful ocean view. The location is great with downtown Kona as a 5-10 min drive or a nice stroll. Marta was also so responsive and kind, and had everything organized and instructions detailed down. We would stay here again if we ever visit Big Island again!

The Mango Cottage on Keauhou Bay

KaylieRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Peter and Lori are friendly and welcoming and their property is truly lovely -- it is evident that a lot of care, effort and thought goes into to maintaining it. The cottage makes a perfect home base for exploring the area. It is also so pretty and comfortable that you just might want to pick up a pizza, watch some Jeopardy and dream about what it would be like if every Friday evening was that perfect :) Thank you so much Peter & Lori!

Big Island Koi Hale

LynnRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We loved our stay here! Barb was a great, responsive host and the location was ideal for getting to town. Kona is quaint and walkable. The home is an architectural delight! It is beautiful, peaceful, and comfortable. The koi pond was our favorite place (just be ready with eco-friendly mosquito repellent). Barb provided many resources for visitors and keeps a well-appointed home. We sincerely thank you for the opportunity to stay in your lovely home!

Oceanfront Home, Kealakekua Bay - Hale Hoʻolana

KrystinRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This place was beautiful!! The ocean was literally right outside of the house. There was snorkeling gear, boogie boards, and pool noodles provided. It felt really welcoming being here. Regina was quickly responsive to any of my questions or comments as well. Make sure to pack WATER SHOES, the oceans are rock filled. Do not miss visiting 2step beach, which is only about 10 minutes from the house. The house was very comfortable for myself and family. Thank you so much for hosting us Regina, if we come back to Kona we will definitely be looking to stay at your home again! :)

Beautiful Home With Private Pool on Kealakekua Bay

ColleenRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a lovely stay at Mary’s place. The home is nestled in a lush, serene setting and was fully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable visit. Mary and her property manager were responsive, helpful, and accommodating. We loved relaxing by the pool and taking evening walks to catch the sunset over the ocean at the nearby park. The kitchen was a joy to cook in, and we loved the open-air layout—it felt like a home away from home. Waking up to the sight and sounds of the ocean from the upstairs bedroom is something we’ll miss. Thank you, Mary, for graciously sharing your beautiful space with us! The memories our family made at this home are something we'll always hold dearly.

Oceanview Penthouse!

HeidiRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had our dream vacation and can only recommend renting this particular condo. It felt like a home away from home the minute we stepped inside, and we'll remember those quiet morning coffees on the lanai, listening to the ocean, forever. Christine's condo is exactly as promised in the photos - what you can't sense from the photos, but should definitely treat yourself to, is the warm atmosphere of the condo. Here you borrow someone's home, and not just a random condo. Enjoy the perfect sunsets from the lanai, the fragrances from the garden, and enjoy the cool breeze through the condo, if you let the windows stay open. It is pure magic to sit at Queen's Bath, both in the morning and at night, and listen to the waves break. We only met incredibly friendly neighbors - and the friendliest staff at the nearby Ali'i Gardens Market. We wish, we could have stayed much longer and dream of coming back someday to sit on that lanai and watch the waves and drink Kona coffee

Oceanfront living - Floor to Ceiling wall of glass

Sean Arthur L SullivanRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This was a 10/10 stay for us. Easy and dependable communication with the host, new and comfortable furniture not shown in current pictures, amazing views and sounds of the ocean, surfers at all hours of the day for viewing entertainment, sunsets and meals on the lanai, and all the beach and snorkeling equipment one could ask for. We ended up snorkeling at Honaunau Bay (Two Step) and boogy boarding Manini'owali Beach (Kua Bay). Having nice towels and all the equipment on hand was convenient and relieved the pressure of taking time to rent or purchase goods. There is a little farmers market that is walkable as is Shaka Tacos and Da Poke Shack. Old town is a short drive North. There are several beaches within walking or short driving distance. Day trips North or South were less than 1/2 an hour. Location let you feel like a local but still close enough to needed conveniences. Would absolutely stay again if returning to the Big Island!

Casa Chilin 2bd/2bth@Waikoloa Resort Walk To Beach

VickyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This place is exactly as described, quiet, clean, and close to everything in Waikōloa beach. The decor was nice and AC was wonderful. We enjoyed the pool and the kitchen was stocked with all essentials for cooking! One thing cleaning-wise that would have been better is if the floor was mopped… walking around with bare feet, our feet got dirty quickly. However we will definitely be back to visit Carlos’ place.

Amazing Oceanfront Condo! Great Location!

SarahRating, 5 stars3 days ago
We had a great time in Michael’s condo. The complex itself could use a bit of updating, but the location of Michael’s unit and the lanai were amazing. Michael had clearly thought of everything guests might need. We made good use of the cooler, chairs, umbrella and boogie boards. We didn’t do serious cooking, but there was everything we could have wished for to accommodate our minimal prep breakfasts and dinners. Air conditioners in The bedroom and living room were great options for keeping things cool, but my preferred way was to keep the sliding doors to the lanai open and use the fans both in the lanai and in the living room area to keep cool air moving. The pool and hot tub were nice to have a few times over a week, but mostly we were in or near the ocean.

Beach Paradise

DeAnnaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This is the BEST condo in Kona that we have stayed in. We've stayed in 4 or 5 other condos in Kona area over the last 7 yrs or so. This is #1 for location & views from the lanai. Very comfortable with every thing one might need. And because there are windows on the east wall, there are great breezes. We never used the AC. We'll definitely be back.
