Barn accommodation in Northern Ireland

Just had a nine night holiday staying in Geraldine's holiday barn. It's a fantastic large space plenty of room inside and out for us and our two dogs. Geraldine is lovely and popped by for a chat, very helpful & friendly host. Beautiful countryside surrounds the Barn conversion and the cows are fabulous coming up to say hello. A beautiful very friendly dog also popped by. This is a great holiday accommodation & perfect as a base to relax or explore Co Down, so much to see & do in beautiful Northern Ireland. A great place to stay in a very quiet part of islandmagee. Walking to Portmuck Harbour and out along headland very lovely. Judith a clear responsive communicator.

We spent 3 days at The Barn. It is in such an exceptionally beautiful location, with amazing views. The cottage is very clean, comfortable, peaceful and very homely. We had stunning weather whilst we were there - even managed to have our first bbq of the year! Gillian was very welcoming, friendly, responsive and helpful to any questions that we had. We 100% recommend staying at the beautiful 'Barn' and hope to return one day to explore more of the north of Ireland! x

We had a lovely stay at Islandcorr cottage. The space was comfortable for our family of 6 and is conveniently located central to so many local sights. Anna surprised us with fresh baked scones on our arrival and muffins the next day.

Lovely accommodation in a magic part of the world. Facilities were great. Special mention comfy bed and wood heater for cold evenings. Anne was easy to communicate with and attentive. Loved the fresh eggs from their chooks. Would highly recommend

We had a brilliant stay 2 night stay in the Orchard Cottage (4 adults and 1 toddler), which acted as our base to spend time Fermanagh over Easter. Peaceful and quiet setting with cosy vibes inside it felt like being right at home. The welcome basket on arrival was a nice touch, and our 2 year olds response this morning for breakfast was, she wanted some ginger cake so it was definitely a hit! Brilliant cottage to unwind and would definitely recommend this place to others. Seamus and Eileen are great hosts!

Myself and my husband stayed at the barn for our daughter’s first Christmas, along with our golden retriever. It was the perfect home from home, with a cosy interior and idyllic surroundings. We were there for two weeks but really felt like we could’ve stayed a lot longer! Really couldn’t recommend the barn enough. We’re already planning our next trip back!

I stayed here for a month between my travels. the mill is very nice and spacious. in a very nice location track to the house is a bit rough but does not take away from the location. I would recommend a stay.

the house and annex were outstanding and had everything we needed. Beautifully clean and some very generous welcoming treats. Our family had a fantastic weekend.

Just back from a weeks stay at Brambles cottage. What can we say apart from it was fantastic. So very peaceful,beautiful scenery and LOADS of great places to walk from the door step. We brought our dog Boycee and he throughly enjoyed himself also. The garden was 100% secure so we could just relax and let Boycee run around and play freely. We would most definitely love to go back if welcomed. Thank you to Karen and Alistar. Nothing was a problem

Jax’s accommodation is top notch! No one could go above and beyond her impeccable standards for suppling a bountiful and luxurious stay…And this is my 1st time ever leaving such a complimentary review for any of the over 80 Airbnb properties I’ve stayed in. She showers u with kindness and hospitality. The amount of food provided kept us from eating out during first two nights of our 4 night stay. The open living area has been decorated in the most tastefully charming and cozy way. The upstairs loft bedrooms provide a cozy nest sleeping and dressing area. I had thought a designer had come in, but she has done it herself with only the help of her husband’s crafty handiwork, amazing… The only thing I could include as a warning would be that the bathroom is located downstairs off of the kitchen, so the physically impaired may find it cumbersome to navigate the stairs during the night. I’m an active 70 yr old, I had no problem with the adjustment. All said, highly recommend!

This is a compact, clean and modern barn conversion that works for a family of up to four. Be aware that it is pretty compact- there isn’t a full kitchen, it’s basically a toaster, fridge and microwave. But it is clean, modern, comfortable and peaceful. The hosts are friendly and welcoming, even interrupting their sheep inoculations to chat to us (not a sentence I’ve ever written before). And sitting outside in the sun with a beer enjoying the fantastic view over to Binevenagh was worth the rental on its own (though I’ve been in this area enough times to know that views are not guaranteed). Recommended.

We had the most incredible stay at the Byre. The place is so thoughtfully curated and really high end in finish and delivery. Duncan and Sean were amazing hosts who really went the extra mile even providing us with fresh biscotti and eggs from their chickens on arrival. The privacy and peace we had here was unparalleled and it really felt so restorative, I would highly recommend it as an absolute gem and really look forward to coming back again, thank you both so much.

Grainne and Brendan were lovely people and great hosts. They couldnt do enough for us. The coach house was fab and I cannot recommend it enough. Spacious and spotless with everything you need. Ideal for families and a great base for touring round. Thanks again. David and family.

Lynne’s place was perfect! Just as she described. She welcomed us as soon as we arrived. The location was ideal. We covered a lot of ground from Belfast to Bushmills. The town of Dromore and Hillsborough are delightful. Would highly recommend!

Myself and my partner had a great weekend over all and was very impressed by Jill's hospitality, the house was beautiful and very clean you can see the pride Jill takes in the place, we where greeted with a bottle of champagne and the beautiful touch of a birthday card for my partners birthday. Beautiful cottage just outside of Belfast with easy access to the Antrim coast. The space had everything we needed in a beautiful country side setting. Lindsay was quickly responsive and easy to deal with.

Fabulous house to stay in . Perfect courtyard and hot tub , fire pit . Fully equipped house for stay . Very comfortable and walkable into town

Can't speak highly enough of our stay here. The accommodation was excellent and Mark and Jenny were very friendly. The court yard out the back of the property was child friendly. The trail around the property is also an excellent thing to do with young kids. We will definitely stay again at this property in the future.

We enjoyed a wonderful few days at Crotlieve Barn. Stunning setting and the perfect base to explore both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. The Barn is a beautiful property with really creative features. It has everything you need for a group stay. There were 8 of us and there was plenty of space to socialise and dine together as well as having comfortable bedrooms. Paul was a fabulous host, always available to help when needed and offer advice and info on the local area. He's extremely knowledgeable about the history of Rostrevor and it's well worth reading his book on the area. Fascinating. The only thing that could have improved our stay was to be able to use the decking area as the evening sun was glorious across the valley and would have been lovely to sit out with a glass of wine. Unfortunately it was far too slippery. Otherwise, a perfect stay and would definitely return.

We had a wonderful stay in the barn loft at Dyan Mill. The accommodation was beautiful. It was clean and had everything you need. The beds were comfy and the kitchen was fully equipped - not that we used it as there was a fantastic restaurant 10 steps from your front door! The animal zoo was a bit hit with our 8 year old and the staff were knowledgeable and really friendly. We paid the entrance fee at the start of our stay and we had free access in and out to see the animals all weekend- great value! The on site restaurant, the Hungry Goat, had a good menu, plenty of choice and again, fantastic staff! We ate in the restaurant both nights and the food was great both times. There's also a cafe on site with great hot chocolate and ice cream. The barn is also obly 15 mins from Armagh City where there's plenty to do to keep little ones entertained. We'll definitely be back to stay, it's one of the nicest and friendliest places we've stayed in a long time.
