Holiday rentals with a kayak in Northern Norway

Juhas Villa is one of the best accommodations i‘ve been to during all my Journeys. It‘s located very beautiful and private near a huge lake. The Villa is spacious and equipped very well. It‘s 30 minutes from Ranua by car away. So it’s a good Place to visit for example the Ranua Wildlife Park. We also Went to Korouoma Canyon from Juhas Villa. It’s easy to get to the Villa by car, Even in Winter when the streets are a Little Snowy. We (5 people) have been there in March with a rentalcar. Juha is so friendly, Helpful and polite! He Went icefishing with us on the lake and offered us warm Drinks and Snacks. The best things of the Villa were the Sauna, the whirlpool and spotting the polarlights out of the livingroom. I can absolutely recommend Juhas Villa and I‘d love to come back, maybe in Summer next time! Everything was Perfect, thank you!

This house is a great place to recharge your batteries while enjoying the boat and the fjord. It's also a very welcoming place in an old typical Norwegian house. We loved warming up by the wood stove and enjoying a good coffee near the fire after a fishing trip or hike! In short, we'll be back!!!

We had 5 nights at Karin's house. We are two adults and two children ages 8 and 10. The house is very cozy and was a perfect fit for us. We enjoyed the beautiful winter landscape and the frozen fjord. The house is not far from Luleå, but you have to get out of some small road with limited speed, so it takes about 25 minutes. The drive is very beautiful through the winter forest, and the road was nicely cleared while we were there. Karin is very flexible and accommodating, and we got really good information both before and after check out.

The best house we've ever been! In the middle of nature, panoramic windows in all rooms. Fantastic views, wonderfully quiet...great house! Canoeing, hiking, close to shopping...immersive nature. Wildlife observation. Björn and family are wonderful hosts. We highly recommend the house to everyone = )

The house is exceptional, beautiful and right on the lake. The decor is natural, modern and with lots of wood; we felt very comfortable from the first moment. Note the very secluded location; the nearest shopping (supermarket) is about a 15-minute drive away. But with appropriate planning, that's no problem either. We enjoyed the quiet idyllic location very much.

Borge is an outstanding and helpful host who assisted us with any questions. He had arranged for us to pick us up in Finnsnes at the harbor in advance. The house is very clean and has great amenities! It's warm and there's a great wood-burning stove in the living room. The washing machine is already equipped with detergent. We picked up our rental car in Finnsnes at Hertz and were only able to go shopping at Kiwi (good prices!) a few meters further. When returning, it is possible to take the bus in Finnsnes. Particularly noteworthy is the incredible view of the water and the mountains. We were lucky enough to watch the aurora lights directly from the terrace in 5 nights, an incredible experience! Just 10 minutes by car from the house, the beautiful sandy beach Heimbørsanda with many mussels is located in Aglapsvik. For us it was a beautiful stay at Jøvika Lodge and we'd love to come back! 🤗🫶🏽💚🫎 Thank you!

Yanina and Jukka Pekka offered us a lot of activities to do around. A big thank you for the tree that we were able to cut and then decorate ourselves. The walk to see the northern lights was superb. We highly recommend it. anne

Everything ok... perfect place!

Daniel was a fabulous host. His place is very cosy and comfortable with stunning views and extremely well equipped. Beds are very comfortable and it was well heated for our winter trip. We had a fabulous viewing point for the northern lights on the frozen lake. It was peaceful and well positioned for our excursions at Brandon Lodge.

nice and pleasant stay

We thoroughly enjoyed the time that we spent at Olli and Una’s cabin. The cabin is very cozy - we built fires every night that we were there with the firewood that was provided. The cabin is at the end of the road so it was very peaceful. We ate our breakfast in the cabin very day and felt that the kitchen was very well equipped. The beds were very comfortable!

In short: Perfect! Friendly personal welcome, so I felt welcome right away. The location on the bay with the great view and quiet location is just perfect, the place itself very well equipped and very clean. Since the bay was frozen, it was also optimal to photograph the aurora lights from there. What more could you ask for? Be sure to check the desk drawer, as there is a lot of information / brochures available about sights in the area.

It was one hell of an experience at Rajamainen! The cabin was so clean and cozy, with all the necessary facilities. The sauna was very well maintained, and it was super fun making fire and fetching water from the frozen river every morning. A big thanks to Anders for taking such good care of us throughout our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed snowmobiling, sauna and ice bath activities. On our very first night at the cabin, we witnessed our first northern lights—and it was just wow! With absolutely zero light pollution, even the slightest activity in the sky was easily visible. We had an amazing time during our stay and would love to come back again!

Staying at Marie’s cabin was everything we needed and more. From the moment we arrived, it felt like stepping into a peaceful fairytale — the kind of place you dream about when life gets too loud. Nestled deep in the forest, the cabin offered total tranquility, but without sacrificing comfort. Everything was impeccably clean, thoughtfully designed, and filled with cozy touches that made it feel like home. Marie was a truly exceptional host — warm, responsive, and full of local tips that made our stay even more special. You can tell she genuinely cares about the guest experience. We especially loved the wood-burning stove, the big windows looking out onto the trees, and the morning coffee on the porch with birdsong all around. Thank you Marie.

We loved staying in the adorable cabin! The location was perfect, and we loved the way the whole place was decorated. We all wanted to move in!

Runar’s home exceeded our expectations! The home was located in a beautiful, private and peaceful location with the ocean only steps away. A big deck surrounds the home, and while we didn’t use the BBQ, it would be a perfect place to hang out. Home was well laid out and Runar was very responsive, answering our questions quickly. Highly recommend!!

heavenly place away from human activity but close to Inari at the same time. Located facing an arm of the river, calm and serenity. ideal place to see the northern lights and live in communion with nature. sauna facing the river, campfire possible. hotel proscribed and super responsive!

We stayed for five nights and enjoyed every minute of it! :-) The cabin is super cozy and the area very quiet. It is the perfect place to relax and find peace. Elina was very helpful and immediately helped when we locked ourselves out! Thank you for the nice stay! 🥰

We had an amazing time at the cabin. We got a Bolt from the city ( €65 each way ) as we did not want to hire a car. We stocked up on food and drink at the supermarket before setting off. The Cabin is truly wonderful, so peaceful with beautiful views. I knew we would have a composting toilet, however there is a very clean flushable toilet only a 3 minute walk away. I thought I would miss having a shower, but found the Finnish way of bathing in the Sauna to be enjoyable. We saw the Northern Lights both nights, dipped in the ice hole, poached in the hot tub, went for lovely walks ( and used the snow shoes! ) The bed was so comfortable we had great nights sleep. I would recommend this cabin to all. We loved it and would come back again in a heartbeat.
