Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Northern Taiwan

I travel often and use Airbb most of the time. Charles is the most receptive and caring host I've ever experienced, feom booking until leaving. His description was accurate, checkin was easy, and the price worth every penny. Comfy bed, clean, and in the middle of everything. Anytime I find myself in Taipei, my trip will be based around the availability of Charles' apartment!

Superb room, super recommended, I'll stay here again next time I go to Yilan The room is really the same as the picture🫧 (there is also a living room, kitchen) (it's ridiculous, it's basically a small package) The room is super clean, very large, super soundproof (you can't hear the outside sound at all) The location is also super convenient (about ten steps to the night market, ,) The owner handles things quickly. The only disadvantage may be that the car is not easy to park (actually, I don't really think of any disadvantages) The whole equipment is super complete. Netflix is even logged in. There are also things that I didn't even think about (cotton swabs, OK bang, shark clips, etc.). Super thoughtful... The kitchen on the 4th floor also has air conditioning, lots of dishes, a large refrigerator, a dishwasher, a washing machine, a dryer, I thought there would only be one room at this price. I didn't expect the equipment to be super complete. Really live like a king After staying, I really felt that the owner is a very attentive person,,, (currently my favorite room in Airbnb) (we all exclaimed that it was too much)

There are many facilities in the house for fun. Very clean and tidy. Fully equipped. There is a large kitchen for cooking. The surrounding environment is quiet. It is also an 8-minute drive from the station. Very convenient. The host is also very thoughtful. Will ask for the arrival time in advance to accommodate us. Will also personally introduce the facilities in the house. In summary, it is highly recommended to stay.👍

I had a lovely stay at this Airbnb! The place was very clean and well-maintained, which made it immediately comfortable. I especially appreciated the easy access to both bus and train stations. Super convenient for getting around without a car. One of my favorite features was the laundry area with a washer and dryer. The neighborhood is peaceful and quiet, perfect for unwinding after a day out. There are plenty of street food options and convenience stores within walking distance. The only minor issue was figuring out how to get cold water from the dispenser — I couldn’t quite manage it, but it didn’t impact the overall experience. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and a calm atmosphere!

The room looks like the pictures and has plenty of space. In advance, communication with Ming was very nice! He gave me understandable and clear instructions for check-in and was always very quickly accessible and very friendly! My questions were answered quickly and helpful. The room was really very clean. I attach great importance to cleanliness and everything was right. The location is great (in Ximen) yet quiet and private. The metro station "Ximen" is a 5-10 minute walk. You can reach all the sights quickly. After that, I would keep coming back when I'm back in Taipei. I felt very comfortable and in good hands. Ming gave me a small meal for the way to the airport when I said goodbye. Thank you so much for this lovely stay. ☺️

The location was excellent, just a 5 minute walk from one of the Taipei Main Station exits, which made getting around the city supeeeeer convenient. There's a 7-11 right across the street and you can easily access just about anywhere in Taipei from here. We were also just steps away from a lovely cafe that we absolutely adored, we grabbed our morning coffee there every single day of our stay! We experienced a bit of noise from the neighbouring Airbnb unit but the host was very responsive and helpful in resolving the issue (they texted the other owner!!). They also kindly allowed us to check in a little earlier, which we really appreciated. Overall, a comfortable and convenient stay for two! <33

This time, two families traveled together, and both adults and children loved it here. It was a great accommodation experience. My son even asked if he could buy a house like this🤣 (sorry, mom's pocket is not deep enough) Before leaving, the B&B owner was very enthusiastic and quickly replied to my nagging questions, thank you very much!You can barbecue outdoors, and mosquito incense is provided. You can sing karaoke, the playlist is new, and there is a wireless microphone. Clean and comfortable homestay. Unfortunately, I was too busy to play mahjong😆. I want to stay again next time!

Very new and great, just like the photos!A quiet place ~

My family of 7 (4 adults and my 3 children under 5) really enjoyed this stay. The apartment was walkable to Luodong Night Market, had a laundromat just downstairs, and lots of eateries around us. The apartment was very spacious and beautifully designed. Ann was also very responsive to any enquiries we sent to her! Thank you for the lovely stay Ann.

Michelle was super nice and friendly upon check in. The place is very close to Xinyi Mitsukoshi shopping district, as well as 101. City hall metro entrance is also nearby as well (about 3-5mins of walking). The street right next to us has tons of great hall in the wall food stall/restaurants (esp the chicken rice place right next to us). My son especially loved sleeping up on the loft. He loves his view of 101 every time he goes to sleep. Ooh! Also we loved how it is 1 household per floor. Makes us feel even safer knowing that no one will have access to our floor other than the owner or us. Overall, this is a great place and very pleasant experience. We will definitely come back here next time!!!

Bottom line up front: You’ll be obsessed with this stay if you enjoy the real Airbnb human touch, not the hotel-like listings with hosts who just send auto replies and macros. Stephen is amazing. He’s lived in Taipei for decades and knows the city well. He was super responsive to our questions even before we arrived. He and his co-host Mr. Charlie also greeted us downstairs when we checked in. They're very thoughtful and left us fresh fruit and drinks, and was even flexible with our check-out time. This apartment is literally 30 seconds from City Hall MRT Exit 1. When Stephen told us that, we thought he was exaggerating - turns out it’s exactly that close, so wild. Despite being in the center of Xinyi, the building faces away from the main street, so you get that rare peace and local vibes that makes the location feels like a residential neighborhood. Yet within a 1-min walk, you’ve got two conbinis, a bakery, boba shops, and tons of local eaters. We enjoyed every sec of our stay :)

Convenient parking nearby

This was the second time i've stayed at Johnson's place, on both occasions for 3 weeks. I've now stayed in both of the airbnbs at his address. Both are very good: extremely clean and well-equipped, and Johnson is a very helpful and responsive host! As an example, before I arrived, he messaged to ask if there was anything I needed. I asked if there was equipment to make tea (I'm English!). I simply meant, a kettle. When I arrived, Johnson had provided a full tea set for me: teapot, jug and cups, as well as the all-important kettle and much more than I'd asked! He really is a very good host and I whole-heartedly recommend his airbnbs to anyone looking to stay comfortably in this very pleasant and relaxing area of Taipei city.

The flat was exactly as advertised in the pictures and descriptions! It was super cosy and incredibly comfortable - all of the amenities were in perfect working order, and the host was so quick to respond to any queries and overall incredibly helpful! The area itself was very safe and relatively quiet, with many nearby transport links and shops. We had a lovely stay here and I would highly recommend it to others! Thanks again for an amazing experience.

The room, located right above the Taipei bus station, was large enough for two people to spend four nights and five days, and also very clean and convenient. The host was very kind, gave me a lot of detailed directions and helped me check in. I think this is one of the best places to stay for those who want to move around a lot around Taipei Station.

Super convenient location close to Songshan MRT and TRA. Few minute walk to Raohe night market as well. Loads of convenience stores and restaurants nearby. Good space for 2 people. Adam was also very responsive and accommodating. Loads of amenities and very convenient porch to hang clothes.

After a last-minute booking on the morning of check-in, I received a quick response It's really the first row of the sea view, exactly the same as the photos, it's a great place to relax and heal

Wise use of available spaces and more than enough storage to keep things organized, brightly lit hallways and rooms are hallmarks of Yumi's place. The unit is very tidy, the bed is soft and comfortable. Bed linen and sheets are clean and not itchy. Having a rice cooker, microwave, kitchenette and washer are a big plus. Yumi anticipates the needs of her guests and provided things like scissors, adapter plug, cling wrap, transparent tape, kitchen rag, oven mittens, iron, and board, clip hangers, and shampoo, conditioner and body wash, towels and coffee and tea, etc. A dining table and a vanity/work table are available for you to use. The unit is in a quiet residential neighborhood. The roads are well lit even at night. A Carrefour supermarket and convenience stores are within 3-4 minutes walking distance. There are some local eateries around worth trying. Yumi is a very responsive and helpful host. We would love to come back and stay in Yumi's place again. I highly recommend it!
