Cabin holiday rentals in Northern Township

This was a very nice weekend getaway. Quite, felt safe, Very well stocked, very clean, we really enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful place! Second time I’ve stayed and they are always super friendly! They make sure you aren’t having any issues especially if there is any change in the weather.

Beautiful home, a great place to relax and enjoy time with family! Everything was exactly as described. The hosts went above and beyond with their home it was very cute and comfortable. They have lots of helpful information with things to do in the surrounding area.

My wife and i were here for a short getaway. Wanted a private and quiet place and Phillip’s cabin is just that! Enjoyed the outdoors and peaceful surroundings they developed on this property. Cabin was great. A ton of attention to detail when this place was built. All around perfect quick getaway for my wife and i. Definitely recommend Phillip’s cabin if you want to get away from the day to day life and unplug.

Beautiful place to stay and great host. Perfect get away to relax, fall asleep in the hammock and take in the scenery.

We enjoyed our stay in this cozy cabin, especially the hot tub. The bed and pillow could have been more comfortable, and we had trouble getting the HVAC working properly. It's a tight space but has what is needed, and the location is close to the Outpost store and the Garden of the Gods.

Cute house for a couples getaway + Dog Friendly! Hot tub was relaxing, fits 2 people comfortably. Had the AC on when we arrived which was perfect! Bed was comfortable! Owner was very responsive before and during the stay. Friendly, polite and informative. Depending on boat size, might be hard to maneuver. Roads in neighborhood and going to boat launch are not the best. Great location for Ferns Clyffe State Park and Lake Egypt. We enjoyed both. note: no one stayed in the airbnb below us which was nice. Overall, I would stay there again.

I loved the amenities at this home! It was great for an extended stay and pet-friendly! The location was only a short drive from restaurants, stores, and outdoor activities. The backyard was adorable. The amenities were truly unique. Linda left a dozen of fresh eggs on the fridge and pick your own garden on the property. The home was very clean and the decor was outstanding! The host Linda was AMAZING! She was so responsive and helpful. There was no excessive check out cleaning rules like other places I have stayed. Just lock up and leave. I would highly recommend staying here and when I come back to the area I plan on staying here again! Thank you Linda! You are a wonderful human!!

Inviting! Cute! Accommodating! Spotless! Husband, two puggles, and I visited for a long weekend, and we actually stayed an extra day because we loved it so much. Each morning we enjoyed our coffee on the deck. We spent the day hiking, visiting Ferne Clyffe, Bell Smith Springs, and Giant City. Lake access was just what we needed after a day of hiking. We jumped in the water from the dock, took out the paddle boat, and fished. Yes, the lake access is shared with host's other properties, but not only is everyone there to also chill, but we actually didn't overlap with anyone. In the evenings we sat on the deck again, sipping the local wines and observing nature. The deck sparkled with fairy lights. Hosts are so kind and friendly! A few "clutch" items: the silicon wine glasses for the lake; washer/dryer & detergent; firewood & firestarter; gas grill; coffee! Bluetooth speaker. The hosts thought of everything & are phenomenal. Thank you so much for an awesome getaway--we'll be back!

Excellent location. Very private and secluded. Surrounded by water and very beautiful. House was as described. Very clean. Host was very responsive as well. Food options are very limited in the area but that’s not on the host. This is a beautiful property.

Very nice comfy cabin. Kitchen was well stocked. The beds and showers were great. We did get to take a drive to the the cross and a deer visited the front "yard" the morning we packed up. Wish we could have stayed longer!

I was blown away by this location! It's perfectly private and gorgeous, and the deck space and fire patio made for an awesome way to chill with our friends and food! We planned to cut costs by making all our meals, and the kitchen spaces perfectly accommodated that (and even came equipped with some extra amenities we hadn't brought like ketchup, mustard, coffee stuff, etc) which saved us that extra on our quick grocery stop! We were all happy with the Wii and board games, the garage as well! The rooms were super tidy and comfortable, as were the bathrooms and really everything! Lots of space inside, well air-conditioned during 80-90s, and stay-in time was just as memorable as trips out, and that last night we all really didn't want the trip to end haha! And of course, Nikki was super responsive and helpful from the very beginning to the very end, I couldn't ask for a better host! By far the most memorable airbnb stay I've had, would love to stay again!

The host was very quick to communicate. The property itself is a nice spacious getaway from the city while still being in close proximity to all amenities. The host was even kind enough to provide supplies for making s’mores, when they found out we were traveling with young children. Great experience.

Great communication! We left a few items on accident & they were so helpful to make sure they got back to us. Such a cute cabin, great outside area......the game room & covered areas were a huge plus. Will definitely stay again if we are in the area!

This was hands down the most favorable experience I’ve had with Airbnb. Not only were the location and amenities perfect, but Amanda is also an amazing host! This place was fantastic! It had everything we needed. Beautiful surroundings - we felt like we were on a retreat. And yet we were just 30 min from Carbondale where our daughter was graduating from SIU. Hoping to stay here again later in the summer.

Wow! Wow! Wow! I rented this cabin for my husband and a few friends that went to Illinois for a hunting trip. I literally cannot say enough great things about this place and about Wally & Vickie. To say that they went above and beyond would be an understatement. Wally seriously went out of his way to accommodate my husband and his friends. His kindess and generosity did not go unnoticed. In addition to the gracious host, the cabin itself was beautiful, clean, and well stocked to meet all of our groups' needs. My husband is already looking forward to renting this space again next year!

Enjoyed spending Memorial Day weekend at the wine trails and at Tricia’s AirBNB. The house was everything expected and more. The house was beautiful, bedding was comfortable and everything was extremely clean. Tricia was super responsive to any questions I had. I would love to stay again next time we visit Makanda.
