Cozy, spacious home for our family weekend, in the center of town. Madelaine and her crew run a well organized ship and they are very responsive. They made sure to ask if everything was running well and to follow through. Unfortunately the swimming pool was out of order for an unforeseen repair during our stay but Madelaine made sure to provide us with a discount due to this inconvenience. Would highly recommend.

Phil was a gracious host, helpful and easy to reach! This location was perfect for our bachelorette weekend getaway. We had plenty of space for everyone, we were close to downtown and the full size indoor pool was the cherry on top! Would stay again and recommend to friends.

This was a truly fabulous place -- my only regret was not staying longer. We found this listing after planning a trip to Five Islands Provincial Park, as part of a larger road trip around Nova Scotia. Had we known just how wonderful and peaceful the property and area were, we would have stayed longer and used the spot as a bit of a "home base" to do some more exploring around the region. The house is beautiful, and Jennifer and Barclay are really working to create a wonderful small vacation community, with a few other rental units on the property. Jennifer warmly welcomed us on arrival and gave us some local recommendations. The Five Islands Lighthouse Park, which is a 5-minute walk from the unit, is a fabulous place to watch the tide go in and out, and the surrounding residential community feels very warm and welcoming.

We had a great stay - I don’t usually leave reviews, but this is a magical place to visit and it really felt like we had a home from home while here. It has everything you might want or need to make your stay convenient and comfortable. The bed was super comfy, the extra blankets to sit out, the patio, the sofa and smart tv all made our stay relaxing and comfortable. The location is central making it easy to get to the main spots. Thanks and we hope to get back one day!

Love everything about this place! If you are looking for a place with lots of fun activities and fun this is the one for you. Came with everything we needed and not too far drive from Cavendish! Will stay again in the future.

Black Spruce lane has everything that any group would want for a stay - rain or shine. The house is perfect for a family, couples trip, or group of friends. Hot Tub, Fire Pit, Ping Pong, Games, Chefs kitchen, you name it, this place has it all! The house exceeded our expectations. We were a group of 12, and everyone had more than enough room and slept comfortably. The location was a perfect central hub to golf a couple rounds at Northumberland Links. The house is very well laid out for when you want some quiet time. Thank you for the great stay, welcoming us into your home, and accommodating our group, George. 10/10. Cheers!

We had a wonderful 6-night stay! The house was exactly as described—very clean, comfortable, and with a well-equipped kitchen. Our favorite moments were sipping coffee on the porch each morning and winding down by the fire in the evenings. The peaceful setting, with cows grazing in the distance, made it all the more special. Caroline’s suite was spacious and beautifully decorated with elegance and simplicity. The walls were lined with an extensive library and games/toys available for children. The bed was comfortable and kitchenette stocked with coffee/tea and snacks. The gorgeous gardens were displaying their spring gloryand viewable from the comfortable sitting area. I enjoyed the resource books on the area’s geology and the tidal bore was amazing and nearby. The trails brought us around the garden and through the woods to the river- another tidal bore viewing area and home to family of bald eagles. Caroline was a thoughtful and attentive host who left a bouquet of fresh blooms including bleeding hearts to welcome us🥰 Our one night stay was not long enough.

This place took my breath away as soon as we pulled into the driveway. We fell asleep to the sounds of the waterfall outside. We watched from inside the cozy house as the Bay of Fundy overtook the beach below us during a downpour. We made pizza at midnight with ingredients we found at the Wolfville Farmer’s Market. It felt so peaceful and remote, but was still a 15min drive to great restaurants. There’s a Nordic spa literally a 5min drive down the road. Our hosts left instructions and recommendations for everything. We are so grateful to Melissa and Charles for sharing their home with us.

We had a large party stay at Mark's and this was a perfect set up! There were enough separate spaces that each family had room for themselves as well as areas we could all be together. The kids loved how close this property is to the beach!

We absolutely loved our stay. The home was exactly as is pictured online, but the views were better in person. The house was clean and spacious and had everything a family could need to cook and be comfortable. The hosts were incredibly responsive and easy to communicate with. We hope to be able to stay again someday!

Isabelle’s house was amazing. Quiet, gorgeous sunsets and peaceful surroundings. Isabelle was a fantastic host who responded to our every question within minutes! Pleasant, polite & super friendly, it was a pleasure dealing with her! The house was the best stocked house I have ever rented. Every time we looked for something, there it was. The games room downstairs was so much fun! We played pool and darts as a family and had many laughs! I would recommend this beautiful house without hesitation. Isabelle made us feel so welcome! We stayed for a friends birthday, and the house was perfect! Clean and private and the hot tub was excellent, we would definitely stay again the next time we are in the area!

Our extended family of 8 were disappointed to to leave Blue Heron as it is a home and location that could be grand central for our day-to-day family lifestyle. Jeff and Anita offer an exceptionally clean and fully provisioned home that works in any maritime weather. The high standard of cleanliness, generous inventory of spices, coffee and consumables, high quality of linens and textiles encouraged us to respect and care for the house as if it was our own. The television and sound systems are up to date and the internet service very reliable. When not relaxing after dinners, we kayaked, walked the fields, and roasted marshmallows over an open backyard fire-pit. We all slept well in comfortably spacious bedrooms with plenty of storage space and privacy. The sunroom off the primary main floor bedroom was perfect for morning coffee and reading. We left some prescriptions behind and Jeff kindly mailed them to us. This was a thoughtful and extraordinary effort. Thank you Jeff and Anita!

Jeremie is a friendly and responsive host! The Schoolhouse is adorable. A peaceful getaway on PEI. We felt right at home and look forward to visiting again!
