Climb the curving staircase in a historic windmill to admire sunsets from a vantage point like no other. The interior has been updated to provide modern comforts, but there are plenty of quirky original details to make this a unique romantic getaway. Enjoy a delicious breakfast from a tree house with views to the city and river (optional — €20 for 2 people). For little ones', or the grown-ups', fun we do have an small swimming pool during spring and summer. Here you'll find a great getaway from the city buzz, but only 10min away by walking to the ferry that takes you to Lisbon. 5 min walking distance to the Fluvial station of Porto Brandão from which a 10min boat trip will take you directly to Belém. The Windmill was totally refurbished but kept the original feel, with practically no alterations to the original structure preserving all stones, windows and iron pieces as initially found when the property was purchased. This accommodation offers the unique experience of sleeping on a building with more than 150 years of history, originally used for grinding flour to be sent to feed the inhabitants of Lisboa. In the kitchen on the ground floor you’ll find 5 millstones that will bring you closer to this past time. This cozy Windmill is equipped with a very comfortable bed for well-rested nights and a lounge area that provides a great spot to chill at sunset, enjoy a glass of wine or even to have a meal, but that can also accommodate 2 additional people on a double mattress. Adding to the character and comfort found in this Windmill you'll find stunning views from here. You’ll be able to see several sights along the river such as the 25 de Abril bridge, MAAT, Museu da Electricidade, Padrão dos Descobrimentos, Mosteiro dos Jerónimos and as far as the Sintra’s Palácio da Pena goes. Depending on the time of the year you will also be presented with blossoming trees, be able to pick fruits directly from them, or even enjoy a meal on top of an olive tree treehouse. Ideal for slow-paced tourism, nature lovers, romantic escapes, or family trips this accommodation offers plenty of opportunities due to its characteristics, vicinity to cosmopolitan Lisboa and a bunch of interesting sites. Don’t miss: - Beaches - 8Km -> Beginning of the longest continuous beach in the country, with an extension of approximately 30Km - Serra da Arrábida – 32Km - Sintra – 37Km - Cascais – 39Km - Mafra – 52Km - Óbidos – 96Km Please note the following: - Kitchen equipped with coffee machine, toaster, electric kettle, small electric stove and fridge. - Windmill with 3 floors. Stairs may not be suitable for kids under 6. Bikes can be arranged upon request for an extra fee of 10eur (whole day). Inflatable Kayak 3p - 40€ (whole day) Kitesurf equipment -150€ (whole day) I really like to receive my guests personally and share my favorite places in Lisboa and on the surroundings. The windmill is on the south bank of the Tejo River, just across from Belém. It's in the quiet of the countryside, and is just 10 minutes from Lisbon by ferry boat and many beaches by car. 5 min walking distance to the Fluvial station of Porto Brandão from which a 10min boat trip will take you directly to Lisbon (Belém). From Belém to city center there are plenty trains (10min). Please check the time schedule for the ferrys at Transtejo website. Connection between Belem and Porto Brandão. A taxi/uber drive from Lisbon city center to the windmill usually it's about 20eur.

This typical fisherman's house, with 30m2, was rehabilitated in 2017, and now have: - Kitchen equipped with dishwasher, clothes and refrigerator, dining table and 2 chairs. - Living room with a comfortable sofa, TV, WI-FI. - WC with shower. - Mezzanine, with a access staircase, with double bed (160cmx180cm), writing desk and a charriot. Guests can access all areas except the storage area. Usually we will be present at the entrance and exit and available for any unforeseen situation. Stroll down to the water just a few steps away at the end of the road. Venture out and explore the neighbourhood filled with quaint houses, lovely restaurants, grocery stores, and coffee shops. Preferably walk as it your in the center of the village of Alcochete. Smoking is not allowed, nor bring pets. No parties or events allowed Children up to 1 year old for safety reasons, since there are no gates or doors on the stairs between the mezzanine / bedroom and the ground floor.

Our stay with José was completely successful! The place was beautiful and the view of the horse meadow was simply fantastic. We especially liked the lovingly arranged breakfast basket in the morning – a great touch! Helping with the feeding of the animals was also a real highlight, especially for nature lovers. The possibility of taking small hikes over horse and cow meadows rounded off our stay perfectly. We felt very comfortable and will definitely be back when we are in the area!

My husband and I stayed at Susana's Airbnb for 5 x nights while in Evora on holidays. Susana is a 5 Star Host, communication was excellent, the AirBnb was exactly like the photos and description, based in the old town and everything is within easy walking distance with a lot to see and do in and around the old town and great local restaurants. The dedicated parking spot was very close by to the apartment and very easy to park and get in and out. The apartment was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed to feel right at home, very comfortable bed and great shower, kitchen was fully stocked with everything needed and we were welcomed with some gifts of a homemade cake on arrival, which was very appreciated. Thanks so much Susana for your wonderful and warm hospitality!

This is the third time we've come to Sonia's. I love it. The place is beautiful. The lake, the canoe, the paddle, the walks around allow you to enjoy the natural lake. The air conditioning works well (it was 36 degrees). Some ant and mosquito attacks. I will be back with pleasure.
