Holiday rentals with lake access in Nouvelle-Aquitaine

We were a group of 6 and had a fantastic time in Rachel's house in Thédirac. The kitchen was very well equipped for us to prepare meals, there were lots of lovely outdoor places to sit and eat, the garden was beautiful and well maintained (and a great source of herbs for cooking), and it was a real treat to walk to the bakery each morning for fresh bread and croissants. It was about 30-60 mins drive from the main attractions, which was fine for half-day or day trips. Couldn't have asked for more.

We had a great stay in this very nice house, located in the middle of nature—very calm and peaceful. The check-in was easy with a concierge system from the owner (they also manage other houses in the area). The house is big and comfortable, with a large kitchen and living room. Bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious. The decoration is like a small museum, full of beautiful objects from local shops and galleries, mixed with modern comfort. Beds are large and very comfortable. Everything is provided: bed linen, towels, and even bathrobes. The amenities are excellent: hot tub with jets, outdoor jacuzzi, heated pool, and gas barbecue. The owners answered very quickly when we had questions.

Our stay at the Old Stable was everything we had hoped for. Nic and Julia were wonderful hosts — thoughtful, attentive, and always available if needed. The property itself is stunning; the studio is beautifully designed and stays pleasantly cool even on the hottest days. We loved enjoying our morning coffee outside, taking in the view and the peaceful sounds of nature all around. Although the house feels wonderfully secluded in the middle of nature, all conveniences like supermarkets and restaurants are just a five-minute drive away. We spent two weeks there, fully unwinding, slowing down, and happily getting back to the essentials. See you soon !!

Éramos un grupo de 8 adultos. La casa era tal cual aparece en las fotos. Hemos disfrutado del gran salón comedor y de su jardín trasero . La casa está muy cerca del trasporte público que nos llevaba al centro de Burdeos y cerca también de diferentes grandes supermercados. Detras de la casa se accede a una zona de bosque y pequeños lagos que tienen mucho encanto . El anfitrión fue muy amable respondiendo pronto a nuestras preguntas y sus indicaciones para llegar a la casa fueron precisas. Repetiríamos la estancia ya mismo!!!. Gracias por todo Raphael.

Jolie petite maison tout confort face à l’Adour, environnement calme et paisible très agréable ! Le plus : des paddles et vélos sont à disposition. Samantha est réactive et les infos sont très claires. Notre séjour s’est parfaitement deroulé, je recommande les yeux fermés 😊 Merci !

Wir hatten das Vergnügen, in diesem wunderschönen Haus zu übernachten, und unsere Erwartungen wurden bei Weitem übertroffen. Die Lage ist perfekt-ruhig und dennoch zentral, sodass wir alles in der Umgebung problemlos erreichen konnten. Das Haus selbst ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet, äußerst sauber und bietet jede Menge Platz für eine entspannte Auszeit. Ein besonderes Highlight waren die unglaublich rückenfreundlichen Matratzen-wir haben selten so gut geschlafen!!! Es war wirklich erholsam, morgens ausgeruht aufzuwachen. Ein Detail, das den Aufenthalt nochmal auf ein anderes Level hebt. Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und reagierten prompt auf unsere Fragen. Sie haben an alles gedacht, von kleinen Willkommensaufmerksamkeiten bis hin zu Tipps für die Umgebung. Wir haben uns wirklich wie zu Hause gefühlt und konnten die Zeit ungestört in vollen Zügen genießen. Wir würden dieses Haus ohne zu zögern jedem weiterempfehlen! Ein dickes Dankeschön an die Gastgeber!

We stayed here for our first family holiday with our 5 month old and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place for it. As others have mentioned, the property and grounds are even more beautiful than the photos suggest. The property had everything we could need. It was comfortable and beautifully decorated, with high quality finishes and furnishings. It really felt like a home from home. The hosts were kind enough to provide baby equipment too so everything was very easy for the 3 of us. Portets is lovely, with a bakery, pharmacy & supermarket, which was ideal for us as we cooked all our meals at the house. We didn’t have a car but managed with just these facilities nearby, as we were very happy just spending time by the pool & in the house. We also walked to one of the vineyards for a tour which was great. We particularly enjoyed the pool and the loungers, including the cabana which offered some shade. We would recommend this property without hesitation and can’t wait to return!

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour chez Daniele et Philip. Nous avons apprécié les lieux et le logement. Tout était comme dans la description. Nous recommandons vivement cette location.

Hôte accueillante et réactive. Appartement neuf et moderne,confortable,bien aménagé et bien équipé. La literie particulièrement est excellente. La piscine est de bonne taille et bien agréable quand il fait chaud. Localisation idéale de l'appartement :océan et plages accessibles à pied. Boutiques,bars et resto sympas à 5 min en voiture . C’est notre deuxième séjour dans les appartements de Claude. Cette fois-ci nous avons profité de la vue côté Sud. L’appartement est très confortable et calme tout en étant très proche des restaurants et des plages. Tout était parfait de notre point de vue.

Tout parfait. Patrick et Michelle sont très simpas et attentes. On a été comme chez nous. Le petit lac avec le parc est magnifique pour les enfants et pour se reposer dans la nature.

Thierry est un hôte très accueillant et très professionnel. Le logement est impeccable et fidèle aux photos. Je recommande. Nous y retournerons avec plaisir si l occasion se présente.

Le logement est situé en pleine campagne, au calme; idéal pour se reposer, même le temps d'une seule nuit. L'accueil par les propriétaires était très sympathique et le fait d'avoir une bière au frais dans le réfrigérateur en arrivant était un petit plus appréciable.

Logement idéalement situé, très bien équipé et parfaitement propre. La vue sur la mer est à couper le souffle ! Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. Merci beaucoup.

Sophie and Craig were the perfect hosts, they were so friendly and welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. There was a welcoming (and much appreciated) basket of goodies waiting for us on our arrival and a bottle of wine in the fridge. The gite was just as described and the perfect place to unwind. Lovely views throughout the meadow and surrounding area, the natural pool was a delight. The chickens provided fresh eggs for breakfast and the dogs, Roo and Ted are adorable. We would totally recommend this place and we will definitely return. Kim and Carol

David est un hôte très sympathique. Le logement est situé près du sien qui facile l'entraide. Le logement est grand, propre et fonctionnel. Il y a un vaste jardin avec un étang et une petite ferme avec des animaux, parfait lorsque l'on vient en famille. Nous etions de mariage sur la commune, le logement se trouvait a 5 minutes de celui-ci. Nous sommes venus avec un bébé et David nous a prévu tout le necessaire (lit parapluie, chaise haute, plan de change et vaisselle adaptée), se fut très agréable. Au plaisir de revenir dans la region. Un sitio precioso y una casa increíble. El contacto con Viviane muy amable y útil. Un sitio estupendo! Un paraíso muy recomendable.

Nous avons passé un moment inoubliable en famille pour célébrer notre mariage civil à la Palombière. Yannick est un hôte au top et super arrangeant. Le domaine est magnifique, le cadre est très beau. J'aurais bien aimé profiter de ces lieux plus longtemps.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Guillaume’s beautiful home. It is an oasis of peace and tranquility, surrounded by nature. My son loved exploring the grounds together and there were games also for extra entertainment. The house itself is stunning also, especially the living space, which is very tastefully decorated with a lovely huge window to look out on the trees. Guillaume is an excellent host and was always very responsive. The first thing my son said when we arrived was ‘Can we just not leave here?’ That says it all 😀

Le petit Moulin de Claire est un vrai havre de paix. Vous pourrez trouver toute sortes d’activités qui seront ravir vos convives ! Cette maison est clairement adaptée aux grands groupes de personnes. Aussi, il n’y a pas de voisins à proximité ce qui est un gros plus. Par contre, le lac était un peu dans son « jus » ce qui nous a un peu déçu pour la baignade mais nous comprenons vite que nous nous trouvons aussi dans un environnement naturel et préservé :) Néanmoins des kayaks sont mis à disposition pour la balade sur le lac ce qui est un très appréciable.
