Ideally situated on the bank of the River Vézere in the pre-historic area known as the 'Vallée de L'Homme' between the fascinating town of Les Eyzies and market town of Le Bugue. To explore the area we offer FREE use of mountain bikes and a kayak*, there is direct access to the river and a 12km cycle path. Or simply relax around the heated swimming pool on luxury sun loungers.

Our cottage, located in the heart of the Dordogne Valley, has been designed to offer you a haven of peace and serenity at the foot of the medieval castle of Castelnau-Bretenoux. Our cottage for 4 people will offer you all the comfort to enjoy the wonders of the region: The medieval city of Rocamadour, the Gouffre de Padirac, Collonges-la-Rouge, Martel, Loubressac, Autoire, or Carennac.... Natives of the country, we will be able to advise you on the places and activities not to be missed.

The studio is located in the Chateau Salamon, which overlooks the Tarn river (or Lake of Lacroux) and benefits from an exceptional view. The omnipresent nature invites calm and relaxation. Formally a fortified castle “Fort de La Bastide “ was constructed on the site of a Roman military station. The earliest historical mention is 1417 and it's long history includes an invasion in 1584 by Protestants during the period of the Huguenot wars. The fort has maintained many original features including the old stone staircase at the front door leading up to a 4 bedroomed loft apartment . There is full access to the large garden including an 10mx4m in-ground heated swimming pool .
