Cottage holiday rentals in Ocean Beach, San Diego

This location is by far my favorite during my many visits to SD. Cutest cottage with the perfect location. Walkable to some amazing coffee shops and to the beach! Although the street has a lot of foot traffic, the cottage was very peaceful. It was never noisy and parking was never an issue for myself and guests that visited. Kristine and Clint were very responsive and gave simple instructions for us. This is a great place to relax and unplug! Thank you for an amazing time!

Really enjoyed our stay. Lovely neighborhood. ( neighbor cut me one of her roses)Easy to get around. Ocean Beach so close. I would like to recommend that some safety bars placed in the shower. It was slippery Also, microwave was difficult to get at on top of the fridge for us short er folks. But the stay was wonderful. Would recommend it to others!

This place is incredible! The beds are so comfy, the location is ideal to the bay and an area restaurants etc! The outdoor space is lovely. And the pool and hot tub are awesome! We did not want to leave! Aurrora is a wonderful host too. You can’t go wrong with this place!

What a perfect place to stay for pur family vacation in La Jolla Shores! Walking distance to the beach, shops, restaurants. Peaceful neighborhood, quaint cottage. We'll be back!

Lovely place to stay at. It felt like you were at home. It was very peaceful and clean. It was easy to find and street parking was not hard to find. Would love to come back and try the jacuzzi.

A true coastal haven indeed! This place was the perfect weekend getaway! Just a short walk to the beach with tons of great shops and cafes nearby—everything in Ocean Beach is so accessible. Having overnight parking made it easy to explore more of San Diego, from paddle boarding in the bay with super convenient gear rentals to quick trips to SeaWorld and downtown for the nightlife. The house had everything we needed for a relaxing stay with friends. The spa was a highlight—clean, cozy, and perfect for winding down after a full day. Plus, our pup loved the private patio with a pet relief area and had a blast at the nearby dog park and dog beach. Highly recommend for couples, families, or friends looking to enjoy the beach life with all the comforts of home. We’d absolutely come back—and don’t miss grabbing some Hoagies while you’re here!

We loved our stay here, the location was perfect and there were so many extra beach items for us to use. It’s a cute, cozy and safe home in walking distance to so many great places. Andrea and Larry were great, we would love to come stay again sometime!

Great location and very walkable. This was a very cheerful and fun place to stay, as well as extremely comfortable. I loved how bright and airy it was, not to mention it being peaceful. I cannot wait to stay here again.

We fully enjoyed our stay at Russell's bungalow. He was very welcoming, responsive to our needs, and always available. The place was well represented by the description and in the photos. The bungalow is in a very nice and quite neighborhood and close to the beach and restaurants.

Quiet and private accomodations just as described in the listing. The layout is ideal with a well-stocked open kitchen and living room, separate bedroom, and clean modern bathroom. Extra bonus is the large patio out front and buffered by an adjacent backyard between the cottage and the main house in front. I'd recommend this place to other travelers and would certainly stay there again.

Our stay in Bird Rock was amazing. This rental was exactly what we were looking for. Super accessible to everything we needed. Short drive to beaches and restaurants (if you want to go further into La Jolla). Plentiful coffee, pastries, açaí bowls all around. It was great spending mornings on the roof top patio drinking our coffee and planning the day. 10/10 would stay again. Thanks Matt!

We enjoyed our stay in this cute home. Victor was extremely proactive in making sure we had everything we needed for our time in San Diego. The home is situated in an eclectic neighborhood with easy access to a Ralph’s grocery store.

Exactly as advertised. PB is a lively area and being less than a block from the beach/boardwalk was perfect.

I had an exceptional stay at Lach's beautifully maintained home in San Diego. The bright living room, fully stocked kitchen, and outdoor seating area with canyon views made it a perfect retreat. The self-check-in process was smooth, and the reserved parking spot was convenient. Lach's communication was prompt and efficient. Highly recommend!

We had a great time staying at Terri’s place for a week. It was me, my husband, our 1.5 year old daughter and dog. The space was perfect for our little family and gave us so much flexibility. It is walking distance to a grocery store, casual and fine dining, bodegas, taco shops, bakeries, ice cream shops, you name it. We were able to enjoy our afternoons out and then cook or grab takeout for dinner after bedtime. The patio was a great place for us to hang out during the day and night. Others mentioned the noise of La Jolla Blvd but we didn’t mind it at all! In fact there was great people watching and we still felt like we had privacy enough to sit out in PJs. Thank you so much for letting us stay! I definitely recommend for small families looking to explore La Jolla and Bird Rock.

Exactly what we needed for our extended stay on the west coast! In a great neighborhood with a lot to walk to and the house itself was perfect- cozy, private, and had everything we needed. And Kimberly was always quick to respond. If we’re back in the area we would love to stay here again!

The cottage was perfect for us. And even though it’s right on Mission Blvd., we didn’t find it loud at all. It’s steps away from the beach on the bay side and just across the street from the ocean side. As is normal for the area, the garage is very small. We have a Hyundai Ioniq 5 - it fit just perfect with not much space to spare. It wasn’t really warm enough to enjoy the patio. We didn’t use the air conditioner or the fireplace on the inside either. The ceiling fans were enough for air movement. Great place overall!

My friend and I, and my golden retriever enjoyed our time at this house. The proximity to the dog each and restaurants was great! No need to drive anywhere once you arrive. Definitely want to stay here again, great use of the space. The Murphy bed in the bedroom is a twin (photos look smaller) and mattresses were very comfy. This is near a lot of foot traffic and the dog beach parking lot with overnight parkers. You will hear outside and airplane noise but it was not an issue for us, we slept with the windows open.

A perfect place for a weekend getaway! It truly is in a prime location. Everything is easily walkable. Safe neighborhood. So many phenomenal restaurants to choose from. George was an excellent host. Hotel quality linens. Clean. With plenty of amenities to make it feel like home. We would easily stay here again.

Best of the best! This place is an oasis with wonderful hospitality and attention to detail. The cottages are super well cared for, very clean and well stocked. The garden is an incredible space to relax and unwind in. I felt like I was staying at a spa for my soul. It was really a gift to be able to stay here. Thank you Linda and Santos!

We had an AMAZING stay at Anna's in Ocean Beach. You can tell great care & attention to detail went into putting this home together. It is exactly like the photos (maybe even better) & the view is spectacular! I could have sat on the couch with the huge sliding door open & read a good book all day! The view was so amazing we elected not to eat out & instead cooked our breakfast & dinners in the kitchen, taking in the view while dining. Kitchen was well stocked with all the cooking tools you will need. A note to those who are sensitive to noises. OB is on the flight path of San Diego International & planes take off directly overhead. Good news - planes can't take off after 11:30 PM & can't resume until 6:30 AM, so you'll slumber well. If you keep the doors & windows shut, I'm sure you'd be fine, but we LOVED keeping the doors & windows open to enjoy the ocean breezes & honestly, after a while, you don't hear it anymore. Thanks for a wonderful stay Anna! We will definitely stay again.

Great quiet location with lots of street parking (we parked right in front our entire 5-day stay). Cottage is extremely clean and comfy, and sleeping on the sofa bed was also very comfortable. Doing laundry was not an issue. Tiffany is a very responsive and excellent host, and we’ll definitely stay here on our next trip to OB!

Janet & Scott, and the Mission Beach Villas staff were excellent hosts, very well organized and professional, and very quick to respond. The house was awesome, but the location was even better and is the top reason I chose it. San Diego is of course a beautiful town, and Mission Beach is amazing - I wish I could live there. But the best thing is the house is a minutes walk away from both the ocean and the bay, and you can't get that in many places. And I mean literally less than 1 minute walk to the bay and maybe 2 to the ocean. And both the ocean and the bay sides have these awesome long paved walkways, perfect for biking and walking - another reason why I chose it. Thanks Janet & Scott 😃
