We moved from Tokyo to Taketa City, Oita Prefecture, and have been gradually renovating this old building in the castle town by ourselves. Currently, a variety of people, including immigrants, locals, students, and travelers, live here together. The guest room is on the first floor of the building and can be used as a private room. During your stay, you can have private time, but you may also naturally interact with residents and other guests in the common areas. Takeda City is a small castle town where people still live, rather than a tourist destination. Take a stroll through the shopping district in the morning, shop at local stores, and go to a nearby hot spring in the evening. You can spend time in a way that is somewhere between "travel" and "living."
