Monthly Rentals in Old Byland

Wanted somewhere in the middle of no where where I could relax for a couple of nights and take the dog for walks and this place definitely did that! Beautiful surroundings lots of walks straight from the place. Didn’t see a single person except a postman the whole 2 nights I was there. Will definitely be back! Place was clean and had everything I needed. Great base for walking or just having a couple of days in peace.

Alison was the perfect host. Friendly and welcoming, nothing was a bother. Very flexible with out check-in & check-out, and the place had everything we needed for a chilled weekend. Very quiet little village but plently nearby if thats what you want. The local pub was under 1 minute away & did the best home cooked food, would definately go again. We'll definately be back to stay with Alison (& Henry & Ruby).

Not one fault! Had a lovely weekend away at the barn owl snug, amazing peaceful stay with everything we could have asked for provided, not too far from York for a day out and beautiful views in surrounding areas. Private balcony adds a nice touch and cooking amenities were amazing!

A wonderful cottage in a beautiful location. We had a great stay as a family of 4 and the kids especially loved having the horses in the field out the front. Lucy was a great host! We would highly recommend.
