Holiday rentals with a kayak in Old Hickory Lake

Emilys home was immaculate! All the amenities were provided and then some. Sitting on the back deck overlooking the lake was so peaceful. It was wonderful to watch the beautiful Great Blue Herons and Egrets fishing. The location is great. Easy access to restaurants, shopping, Nashville, and the airport. We highly recommend it!

Deep Roots is by far the BEST AirBnB I have ever stayed in. It's remote location was just perfect to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings after a busy day in the big city of Nashville. It is in an absolutely gorgeous location with hiking trail within a half mile of the house. Alicia is a great host and even left my son a graduation happy because she knew we were there for his Senior Trip! The fresh eggs she left for us were also very thoughtful. There are just little thoughtful touches all over the place. Fresh flowers, so many board games, a set of horseshoes outside, hiking sticks, ingredients to make Smores. There was not a single thing we could have wanted that was not readily available if we needed it. The house was immaculate and so very comfortable. We felt right at home the entire time we were there. The only thing that could pose an issue for some is the WiFi is very sketchy and slow. Not an issue for us, but if you are wanting to work, it could be a problem.

We were 5 adults and 6 kids and the place worked wonderfully -- tons of indoor and outdoor activities, really pretty area, and a comfortable house for that number of people. It was great.

This place was absolutely beautiful and was a great place for a girls weekend get away. Elle, was always so responsive and was able to answer any questions I had. 10/10 do recommend this Airbnb to anyone looking for a peaceful place to get away with your family or a girls weekend. 😊

staying in Timothy's place was an absolute pleasure. he was so communicative and had so many local recommendations. the house itself was beautiful, comfortable, and had everything we needed for our short stay! would definitely come back!!

If you want a place all to yourselves then this place is it. Although it’s not easy to find it’s a great place nice and clean and quiet.

We had a girls' weekend and had so much space. The screened porch was a lovely place to spend the day and connect. The kitchen was well suited. we had a musician in the group whi entertained us playing piano. It was a rainy weekend so we didn't utilize the lake, but hope to come back. Great place to stay for a relaxing retreat!

Dora is an excellent communicator! She provided very clear instructions for check-in and check-out. The dishes, utensils, and dish soaps were very well organized and labelled. She was very responsive when we had a question before we arrived. The cabin has several "extra" touches, such as TVs in the upstairs and downstairs sitting areas and in almost every bedroom, lots of puzzles and games, and kayaks that we would have used if it had been warmer. I would say it is the best Air BNB we have stayed at. Would definitely return if we need to be back in the area.

I was surprised when originally it said check in time was 5:00 PM couple days prior to checking in. I did reach out and he responded right away that nobody was there day before and we could check in anytime after 1:30 which was a huge relief. I had not seen a check in time when I booked. Everything about the place was as described and perfect. Note: there are no lights on the dock for night fishing. Matt at no time said there were and when I asked him if there was a place to turn on lights he actually said we could run into town purchase something and he would reimburse us. I thought that was going above and beyond. Fishing was great. It was a very nice place. I did pay more than I usually do after fees and taxes more than I usually do per night. After our stay I would be tempted to pay the money to stay there in the future. Matt is a great host.

We stayed here for 2 nights to go to my cousins’ wedding! The property is absolutely beautiful and the hosts Adam and Jessie were GREAT! The decor is boho meets modern meets family fun which we loved! My son and his gf stayed upstairs and my husband and I stayed on the main level ! The snacks they provided hit the spot after our 5 hr drive , the view from the wrap around porch was spectacular, the cornhole boards which we didn’t have time to play were awesome !! Go UK and we love playing bags here at home too! The bonfire area was great to chill around the fire, Seeing the wildlife right in your own backyard was also very cool! It was a perfect little getaway! Check-in and check out was a breeze! We would definitely visit this picture perfect home for a longer stay in the future! Thank you Adam and Jessie for a great weekend for my little family ❤️

We had a great stay in Jeremy’s place! It was clean, well stocked, and the communication was excellent!

This was our first experience staying at an Airbnb and we have nothing but great things to say. The house was clean and inviting, and the amenities were more than adequate. We slept really well on the bed and there was plenty of space to hang our clothes in the walk in closet. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking items, plates, glasses, even wine glasses. The information center on the counter had informative guides. We can't say enough about the view from the upstairs living room and from both patios. We wanted to stay longer! We love Tennessee and hope to be back to the Cozy Cottage soon! Joe and Cindy Taylor

I’ve lost track of the number of times we’ve stayed at Rickey’s properties, but whenever we’re in town we always try to stay at this house. It’s spotless and Rickey is extremely welcoming. He even remembered what type of coffee we prefer and had some waiting for us when we arrived! The house is stocked with extra toiletries in case you forget something. Rickey is so easy to communicate with, very responsive, and gives great information about the area and the house. As always, we will definitely stay here again!

A very special unique place! So nice to get out of the city to a beautiful country home. I would come back in a heartbeat. The screened porch was our favorite hangout. We made happy memories! Thank you Mimi for sharing this place with us.

Chanin’s place was absolutely amazing. We booked this place at the last minute and she was so sweet during the booking. The home was immaculate with so much room. We brought our motorbike and got to ride the trail and travel around town. It was quiet and peaceful. So relaxing!!! We definitely needed this getaway!! The location was great.Definitely will be booking with her again. EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT!!!!!

Absolutely loved the cabin!! Beautiful views from the decks!! We got to do a little night fishing as well as daytime fishing. Brooke responded quickly and was very helpful with instructions finding the cabin!! We will definitely be back for more fishing adventures! We would have definitely used the kayaks if the water levels had been a little higher and if it wouldn’t have rained so much!

We had a great stay! The h cabin was comfortable and nice with a view of the lake and the canoes were a lot of fun!

This place was very peaceful. Hot tub was amazing! Host was very responsive and welcoming to any and all questions. I loved his sense of humor with my questions! If your goal is secluded and peaceful, this is definitely the spot! We will be back in the future!

We had such a good time at Catherine's place. We enjoyed walking the shore, hanging out on the porch with the fire pit, and playing card games in the loft. The countryside surrounding is beautiful and there are many parks in close proximity that offer hiking and other outdoor activities. Our peaceful weekend here was just what we were looking for.

We couldn't have been more impressed with the house and the hospitality. The house was super clean and very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked, bedrooms were very comfortable, the view of the Cumberland River while sitting in the hot tub was so relaxing. Seeing the Eagle above the hot tub everyday was a really cool part of our stay. Very spacious back patio. We loved the fire pit and really appreciated Monica having fresh firewood brought in for our stay. The bathrooms were very accommodating. Washer and dryer were a real plus. Awesome amenities in the cabin and two wood burning fireplaces in the house were a huge plus. Monica was very responsive and went above and beyond to make our stay as relaxing and pleasant as possible. We will definitely be coming back to this beautiful gem on the Cumberland.
