Apartment holiday rentals in Old Stratford

Fabulous location in the centre of town with shops, restaurants, and local amenities close by. We enjoyed views from the period bay windows of the apartment, which was clean and spacious and had been equipped well, together with supplies of welcoming ‘treats’ (biscuits, crisps, fresh milk, butter, together with various coffees and teas) and eggs from the hosts own hens. Ashley and Lydia communicated very responsively and in a helpful and friendly way and provided loads of useful instructions and local recommendations for our stay. Checking in / out was straightforward, despite our somewhat limited experience in using the key safe supplied! Thank you, we were very happy with our stay and look forward to visiting again 😊

Clare’s apartment and her personal hospitality were truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the word that kept coming to mind was “Wow!” The apartment is extremely clean and comfortable, the off-street parking space greatly appreciated, and Clare herself is so very helpful. She has thought of everything and more! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our 4-night stay, and we both wholeheartedly recommend this place with maximum stars.

The location was great and only a 5 minute walk to the pretty town centre. The ground floor apartment was charming and nicely furnished with really comfortable beds. The addition of the enclosed courtyard/garden was great for our dog. The off street parking was a bonus and there was a Waitrose nearby for any essentials. We walked our pooch on the open ground next to the River Welland, via Waterfurlong, and headed towards the town. He loved exploring down there.

Wow. Just wow! A full 5 out 5, unreservedly. Everything was perfect - a very central location, yet secluded and quiet. A large, beautifully - and unconventionally - designed two-story space (photographs do not do it justice!). Absolutely outstanding levels of cleanliness, everywhere. Wonderful beds, pillows & linens. Great bathrooms (one has both shower and bathtub, the other just a shower). Everything you could possibly need - coffee, tea, salt, pepper, oil, cleaning products, hair dryer, toiletries, iron, etc. - was on hand. Just wonderful experience overall - thank you, Mamadou and Polly! A clarifying note, as we were a bit confused at time of booking: the description mentions that the flat is not suitable for children. Children are welcome, however there's a possible safety concern - there is a wide ledge without railings on the side of the staircase leading up to the bedrooms. A very small kid getting on it - easy to do from the top of the stairs - could be a problem.

The stay at your apartment was wonderful. Beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean. Wonderful location close to shops, restaurants and historical landmarks.

Excellent property in the heart of Stamford. Apartment has everything you need for a weekend stay. Decor is cool with a traditional twist. We would definitely recommend and would love to stay again.

This was our first Air B&B experience. If Hugh and his Emma are anything to go by as hosts we will always choose this option over any hotel. They helped us out of the way to make us feel at home. We were in-between selling a house thus required a month long place to reside. With the amount of baggage and luggage we could not have stayed anywhere else. The family let us use their shed space and took the burden off us. The entire property is just "wow". Endless green fields with local habitat, horses in barns, pet chickens and beautifully landscaped gardens around the whole palace like estate. A month is a lot of time but the family was very proactive to any queries or requirements. The dwelling itself has a lot of character, Endless paintings and views to die for. Not to mention the collection of multitude of books. The host had provided detailed information pack about anything and everything. We wish them prosperity and happiness in all future endeavours. Hugh do take a break!

The Apple Loft is absolutely incredible, it was so clean. I wish I was there longer. The linen smelled amazing, the bed was so comfortable. The shower! It was like a jet wash, the pressure was brilliant. Charlotte is such a lovely, genuine, kind host. Thank you for everything! I wholeheartedly recommend staying with Charlotte at The Apple Loft.

I found Molly’s apartment perfect for the 4 weeks that I spent there. It was spotlessly clean with everything I needed including a well equipped kitchen and a washer/dryer, large bathroom with great shower and bedroom with good wardrobe storage and comfy bed. The apartment is right in the centre of town so handy for everything from cafes, pubs, public transport and walks around the lake etc. I loved the view from the windows over the rooftops to the countryside beyond. Molly was very responsive to any questions that I had while I was there.

Jazzy was very quick a responding to messages. Always replied in a friendly manner. Her home is lovely and had helpful information inside. Great location. If we are ever in the area again, I'll be hopefully staying here if available.

We were attending a wedding at Rutland water and reception at the Barnsdale. This place is only 7 mins away and was perfect for our daily stay of 3 Adults. Julie made us feel welcome and had also provided so sampler products in the kitchen for us. Which was lovely. The check in is 3pm but after explaining we had to be at the wedding by 12:30 Julie arranged that we could check in at 11 am so we could freshen up and get changed after the drive up. Thank you so much x

Ray’s flat was lovely. Very tidy and clean. I really enjoyed the location and the proximity to coffee and restaurants. Ray provided clear instructions and finding the place was simple. Highly recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Matt’s lovely apartment in the peaceful village of Duxford, amazingly just minutes from the M11. Matt was quick to respond to our booking, providing clear & helpful information about the apartment & the surrounding area, including where to eat & recommendations of places to visit. He was also in touch a few more times before our arrival, including providing the entry codes, & again after we left. The bottle of Prosecco & selection of biscuits was a lovely welcome surprise, & the food in the 2 local pubs Matt recommended, both within a few minutes walk, was delicious. (We ate in the John Barleycorn twice in 4 days!) We also had a superb brunch in Cafe19 at the Duxford Community Centre… a fantastic facility. We would certainly recommend this apartment & would happily stay here again if back in the area.

highly recommend! i stayed here to attend the tate mcrae concert, the arena was a 10 minute walk away which was perfect. location is brilliant, right next to the town so there was all sorts of shops nearby. actual apartment was lovely, really clean and spacious! easy to check in also! really happy with the price and what i got! would definitely come here again if i need to be in nottingham

Location was excellent for our purposes (in the center of the city, few minutes walking distance from the University, the market and the railway station) The host was a bit slow in responding before arrival in the UK, but issues regarding were resolved upon arrival at the airport. Overall the apartment was in good to excellent condition apart from some issues which were considered minor due to the relative short stay of 8 days. (One window was very tricky to open and close, the freezer needed some defrosting, one of the faucets had a broken drainer, no towels or sheets were changed during the length of our stay)

Great place to stay. Lovely surroundings, friendly working farm, my kids loved seeing the piglets and feeding them. A walk into Lincoln in just over an hour, through the fields, brilliant. Super helpful and friendly host. Great hot tub with privacy, accommodation had everything needed for a great stay. Would highly recommend and happily stay again. Thanks Fen Farm

We had a wonderful experience, everything was WOW! From the quirky lift to the FAB art, superbly spacious bed, the coolest shower. We rented for a small gathering to celebrate my daughter’s 40th. She thought it an incredible space. Chic, very cool and comfortable. It really had everything we needed. We’re now looking for an excuse to go again! Thanks Rafaelle and team for helping to make my daughters birthday one to remember!

Wow! Gil and Philip have created a magical experience that went far beyond our expectations. The lit log wood burner on our arrival was very welcome, the animals very friendly and the added extra treats really excelled. We loved our stay and would highly recommend, whether with children, friends, or as a romantic break.

Celebrating my birthday we came away for the weekend to Andy’s place. It was lovely and peaceful and the lodge was in a great location close to woodhall spa but not too busy or noisy. The lodge itself was perfect for my family and dog and had everything we needed inside. We especially enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub after a busy day walking and visiting different places. Fantastic place! Private, has absolutely everything you could need in the place. We stayed in the snug and had an amazing time. Private little courtyard with hot tub and bbq which was great! The place itself was pristine, clean, fresh and just lovely. We contacted the host a couple of times and responses were really fast and helpful. The park and grounds were lovely also for us adults and for the children. Added bonus we weren’t expecting was an invitation for the children to help feed the animals, we took this opportunity and it was fab! The farmer was so engaging with the children and they got to feed many animals and interact with them as well as egg collecting, so cute and just a really lovely thing to do! Thankyou! We absolutely will be recommending to all family and friends and we will be sure to return ourselves, we wished we had booked longer!
