My family felt instantly at home in Mark’s cozy cottage. We enjoyed the beautiful view of the water and our quiet and peaceful mornings spent by the fire (Mark thoughtfully kept us stocked with wood). If you’re looking to visit MDI it was an easy 30min drive. We cannot wait to return in the future!

The location of the house was perfect for our visit to Acadia. It was very quiet and serene with beautiful views of the lake. We enjoyed fishing off the dock and the fire pit at night. We highly recommended this hidden little gem.

Great stay for our family of 5 adults and 3 toddlers! Lots to do and great proximity to Acadia/Bar Harbor. House was well supplied with clear instructions. Brady also connected with us before the stay and kept in touch for anything that came up as a concern. Thank you!

Took a family trip to Acadia and this was a great place to stay. The house was very comfortable and enjoyed the on-site hiking trails and sitting down at the lake and having a wine. Appreciate the quick response from the owner when I had a question. Great getaway!!! Thank you for a memorable stay!

Mark was a great host! He offered to let us check in early, as our flight came in before check in time. The house was quiet and peaceful, perfect vacation house! Our kids loved the easy access to the lake, and the house provided numerous outdoor knick knacks for them to play with. We also enjoyed the relaxing mornings on the hammock. The house is close enough to all necessity’s, but still away enough to not feel crowded with people. We would recommend the place to anyone, and will be returning in the future! Brian’s AirBnb is in a quiet and safe neighborhood. The keypad check in is simple. The home is spotless. There are plenty of linens and kitchenware. The home is close to Acadia and downtown Ellsworth. If you want a short drive to Acadia and MDI, this is your place!

We had a great stay! This is a lovely private spot and the horses were definitely a plus! We would definitely like to stay here again.

What a wonderful experience! Rebecca was an absolutely outstanding host, always quick to respond and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. My family and I had such a peaceful stay. The home and location were incredibly tranquil, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The house and property were absolutely beautiful, and we loved sipping our morning coffee on the amazing balconies with the breathtaking views. There is so much space, and every room in the house is well thought out, functional, and cozy. The pool is even better than we hoped, so big and clean and in immaculate condition. We spent most of our time swimming and relaxing by the pool. We also enjoyed playing pool and having so many rooms to gather in with the comfort of plenty of new comfy furniture. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind for a vacation away from all the noise and chaos of daily life. Every single area was as described in the listing and better. My return visit to the Boathouse was even lovelier than I hoped it would be. The location can't be matched by anything else I've seen. I enjoyed a September visit with my dog and was lucky to have pristine weather. I lived a very simple and healthy outdoors life and came home the better for it. The Boathouse is true to its description: it is simple and rustic and uncomplicated but well-equipped, and is perfect for one-and-dog, or for two people. A little coming-and-going from the neighboring houses meant that I didn't feel isolated. Margaret is truly an exceptional and friendly host who communicates promptly and clearly. I almost hesitate to share "my" Boathouse location with too many of my back-home friends because it feels so intimate and special. I already want to be back there. I offer my deep thanks to Margaret and to the place that I could - briefly - call home.

Adorable cottage, newly renovated. Perfect for two with an open space loft for one more. Kitchen is well stocked right down to the coffee. A good location if visiting Fort Knox, Mt. Barrie and not too far from Bar Harbor if that is on your list. Great stay, highly recommend. Beautiful view and private.

We got a very rainy week in Maine but still enjoyed the beautiful, comfortable and well stocked house, views, decks and incredible garden. Beautiful restaurants, bookstores and wine and antique shops near by. Hope to return to very soon.

I recently stayed with my family at this incredible Airbnb that exceeded all my expectations. This property offered a hot tub, a pool table, and a level of privacy and tranquility that made for a truly relaxing getaway. One of the highlights of our stay was being able to watch the northern lights from the hot tub – it was absolutely magical. We spent a week in Acadia, and the location was perfect, just 15-20 minutes from Bar Harbor or the nearest town. The hosts were very responsive, and the place was fantastic for families, being both kid and pet friendly. It was a week filled with unforgettable moments, and I can't recommend this place enough!

Aaron's apartment was the perfect place for our group of four - clean, comfortable and in a great location. It had everything we needed, beds were super comfortable, access to the Inn was nice for breakfast and post-hike relaxation in late afternoons. Aaron was a very responsive host. We plan to stay here again next time we come to Bar Harbor.

Out of the way, peaceful and stocked with pretty much anything you could need in case you forget something. Clean and comfortable and the host is friendly and makes sure you know everything you need to about the cottage and the area around it.

This house was perfect for a getaway to Bangor! Scott was a great communicator and answered all of our questions about the surrounding area. This house had all the comfort's of home, would highly recommend for anyone traveling in the area.

We spent a night here on our way north, and were extremely pleased! everything was exactly as we expected, and was very comfortable. would definitely stay here again!

We stood at The Barn for memorial day weekend. This place is literally a hidden gem! A little bit hidden but Mike was very helpful with directions and made it easy to find! The Barn has been gorgeously renovated, we especially loved exploring all the antiques in the house, pointing out some hidden pieces some people might not understand, and looking at all the family history that surrounds this place. Overall, a beautiful home with beautiful land, quiet and peaceful, and a comfy place to come back to after a long day of hiking at Acadia National Park. Would definitely recommend The Barn and would for sure come back if ever in the area!

A great getaway!!! My fiancee and I had a wonderful stay, it was quite peaceful and we had a lot of fun fishing in the pond! A little oasis of birds, frogs, and butterflies!!! Would definitely stay again if ever in the area!! Kerr was one of the best hosts!!!

This is our second stay with Doug at this location. We loved it the first time, and it only got better. They added bed side lamps and television sets in both bedrooms. Everything was clean and comfortable. Everything is close by. Can't recommend this spot highly enough.
