Stone house: wine with books, dogs and routes

The "caseiros" — the family that took care of the farm where our organic wine is currently grown — lived in this house. Restored in 2013, the old kitchen space with its "lareira", oven and stone sink was preserved, now a cool space to read, play or take a nap. The two open floors overlook the Miño River valley, which separates us from Portugal. Upstairs, to sleep or read; downstairs, where the animals used to be, to cook or go out to the small garden.

We had a fantastic holiday! The house was perfectly equipped with comfortable beds and a well appointed kitchen. The garden offered a phenomenal view, which we fully enjoyed. With six people, including four adolescents, we spent 10 days, and the pool was a real outcome during the hot days. The saltwater bath made it extra pleasant. We made trips to the coast and enjoyed delicious food in Vigo, Baiona, Praia de Canido and A Guarda. This is certainly subject to repetition. Zaida, the hostess, was great; she was quick to respond and always reachable.

The place is wonderful, a house in good condition, clean, with all the necessary things. Surrounded by nature and tranquility although the highway is next to it is not annoying and also the double windows make it not disturb anything. To get to the house it is a little far but the road is not very bad and the tour is beautiful. Maite was attentive and gave the necessary directions to get there, plus the details she leaves in the house so you don't lack anything when you arrive is great. Also the flexibility of the entrance and exit make it a wonder. We will repeat without a doubt.
