Family-friendly holiday rentals in Oltretorrente, Parma

The house is a bit remote and therefore it is very quiet. However, you are dependent on a car here. Angela was very accommodating to us and was always friendly and very hospitable. When we had minor problems with the pool, we immediately got help. As a small farewell gift, we received cherries. It was a very nice short break all around and Angela and her husband as well as the well-kept accommodation definitely contributed to this.

Very nice Airbnb in the nature of Italy. If you want to stay at a quiet and peaceful place it’s perfect. Alessandra was a very friendly host and we felt at home right away. Thank you very much!

Alessandra is the perfect hoste and makes you feel at home immediately. The place is absolutely stunning with a beautiful pool. Rooms are big and comfortable and decorated with clocks, audio speakers etc from earlier times which gave the space something special. And not to forget the homemade pasta or beer that they serve! Certainly a place to visit when you are in the neighboorhood!

What a beautiful stay at Fabrizios Agriturismo. We stayed in the small cottage and it was perfect. Nice pattio, beautiful garden. Cottage is not big but really has everything you need. Also Fabrizio and his daughter made sure that the stay was extra pleasant with a very special breakfast every morning (ricotta with Fabrizzios homemade peperonci marmelata 😍) - more than you wish for! Also really nice if you have a dog. Just walk out of the door and instantly be surrounded by nature! Grazie Mille Fabrizio

We really enjoyed staying at Claudio's. Not a negative, but just be aware that this place may not be for everyone. Main bedroom is a loft up a narrow flight of stairs. (We're active retirees, so it was easy for us.) One the edge of the pedestrian only zone, it's about a 10 minute walk to the best restaurants in Old Town, but there are plenty of eateries nearby. The free breakfast at the bar next door was an added treat. Also near secure parking. If you can do steps, this is a great place e!

Had a lovely stay with Tiziana and Luigi. The apartment was very clean, well equipped and centrally located. The hosts were very responsive to our questions and needs!

Crisitina and André are extremely kind. We had asked for references to take a cooking class, visit a balsamic vinegar cellar and when we arrived, everything was already organized. It was more than I could have hoped for. For hosts, it's a 12/10. You can't be disappointed with them! Upon arrival, the landscape is breathtaking. For the house, it's a gem! It smells good, it's clean and we didn't miss anything. The kitchen accessories are of good quality, the rooms are large and comfortable, the bathrooms are beautiful and clean. We had wood for a fireplace in the dining room. It was great! There were 6 of us and we never felt cramped. Yes, yes, I recommend these hosts and their beautiful home!

As others have said—all of the reviews are spot on! A unique setting in the countryside about 30 minutes drive to Parma on mountain roads, beautiful historic building and grounds (with tastefully updated bathrooms to go with the historic charm, plus even a clothes washer and dryer you can access, a rarity in Italy), and a consummate host in Maria Teresa. Using her knowledge and connections to get personalized tours of smaller local parmigiano and prosciutto factories was a real highlight, and we especially enjoyed the nearby Torrechiara castle as well. The kids loved her animals too. 10/10 stay!

I visited Maria Teresa's with my 2 year old son and husband and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Maria Teresa is such a warm and welcoming host, lots of local recommendations, home made cake always available and a bottle of prosecco on our arrival! This is a beautiful and remote spot, great for some relaxation. There is a soccer pitch and lots of space for children to run around within the grounds and a small playground down the road. The local trattoria serves up delicious fair and is within walking distance of the house. The swimming pool was closed when we visited as it was too early in the season but is only a short walk from the house.

Million dollar view. Marco and Laura are the most wonderful hosts and we would happily return to this lovely property. They went out of their way to accommodate us and our guests. The property was exactly what we needed: being two, two bedroom houses, side-by-side; we had privacy, as did our guests. The property is well equipped and we enjoyed using the fire bbq, the pool, playing pool in the evenings. Cooking was delightful, using an extensive array of herbs and vegetation from the garden, planted by Marco and Laura. Our hosts have filled cupboards with towels for the house and for use at the pool and there is a washing machine in each property and a clothes line for drying. The wifi is good. Warm evenings sat at the al fresco patio table, with an exceptional view of snowy mountains and a mountain rock that inspired Dante’s Inferno, is very special. Maria’s B&B is a wonderful quiet and peaceful place. Maria was very welcoming and friendly and she went out of her way to organise a tour for us. Our stay was short but would highly recommend.

Nice pittoresque location with a large family suite which suited well. The pool was a nice bonus and was very nice situated.

The stay close to Salsomaggiore Terme was beautiful, even prettier than the pictures. The owners, who live on site, were friendly, helpful and attentive. A lot of space, nature and quietness to unwind from everyday life. I would really recommend going there if you're looking for a little gem in the countryside of Italy. We had a great time!

The perfect place for a holiday with family or friends with glorious views over a lush valley in the hills above Modena. Our historic casa was renovated to the highest standard with generous bedrooms, three fabulous bathrooms , a well functioning kitchen, dining and sitting area. We enjoyed the pristine pool, BBQing and dining outside under, and using the wood fired pizza oven. The plumbing, power and internet did not miss a beat! Our hosts were generous and welcoming, sharing some of their home made and local produce, and encouraged us to forage herbs and fruit [just ripening figs, wild arugula] from the beautiful garden. Their recommendations about the local area were spot on. We recommend using it as a base for visiting the motor museums and factories, for enjoying the wonderful food traditions of the area and to relax in a most beautiful environment. The visit to La Noce to learn from Georgio about and taste Balsamico di Modena is not to be missed! A wonderful stay!!!

we had a beautiful weekend with the family! There were 11 of us...we were celebrating our parents' anniversary and everything was beautiful! The whole farm for us,we were able to take advantage of the whole garden and pool just us. Daniela and her husband are very kind, very present but never intrusive!I would recommend it,for a weekend with friends or family!
