It can be rented as a B&B but also as a vacation home for a longer period. Please read the advertisement carefully before booking. I would love to make you welcome in our wonderful home in Hoogedijk. Our home is a completely renovated dike house from 1889, and your room has beautiful views of the Gouwzee and in the evening, you can see the lights of Monnickendam. After a good night's rest, you will enjoy your own wonderful waterfront terrace. Your apartment has its own entrance and is on the second floor of our beautiful house. Be aware that there is NO kitchen.

On the second floor of a rebuilt traditional Waterland house is this beautifully renovated apartment, once used as a hayloft. Located in the protected natural area of the Zeevang polder land (EU Natura 2000), famous for its birds like godwits, spoonbills, and lapwings. The view it offers is among the most beautiful in the Netherlands. Middelie is very near Amsterdam (25 km). Other historical places like Edam, Volendam, Marken, Hoorn, and Alkmaar are never far away (5–30 min. by car).

The studio is the upper floor of our secret annex, with its own entrance, small shower/toilet and kitchenette. The space is 10 by 6, with a view over the Beemsterringvaart. It's a 10-minute walk to the bus stop. Bus 314 will take you one way to the historic city of Hoorn and the other way to Amsterdam central. The bus will take 40 minutes there. It is best to buy tickets in advance of your visit to Amsterdam travel tickets so you can use all public transport ( 26/ 33 euros)
