The place was exactly as advertised, very clean and beautifully decorated to accentuate the old charm of a historical building. I am from this area so I am very familiar with Main Street and knew what to expect as far as location. We considered a hotel room, but I’m so glad we decided to do this instead, because the price was much better for a Saturday night and the old charm, shopping, and restaurants all within steps from your door can’t be beat. There is also a view of the river that I wasn’t expecting so that was a bonus. It’s no surprise that there are bars in the area, as Jeffrey states it in the listing. Some may like this, some may not. I’m not a drinker anymore, but if you are, you are saving money on uber for sure because you can hit several places within a few blocks and then walk back. For me, the people watching from the window was the best. The limited noise from the street wasn’t a problem for me because it was very dulled when the window was closed. Loved the place!!

Loved staying here! The area was extremely quiet and peaceful. The entire community was so kind and the shops around were so fun and had great food! Overall an amazing stay that exceeded our expectations.

Our sojourn at Finn’s Inn was delightful. The house was very clean, beautifully renovated and well decorated and provided everything we needed. We appreciated the quiet neighborhood and the quaint and historically interesting town of Elsah. Staying Sunday through Tuesday nights, we had no problems with parking.
