Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Ostermundigen

We had a wonderful one night stay at the home. 3 spacious bedrooms and two bathrooms made the stay very comfortable. Living feels very cozy and the outdoor space is very nice. Perfect for a visit to Bern which is less than 10 minutes away.

Ich schätze mich glücklich, diese stille Oase in den Weinbergen von Vallamand entdeckt zu haben. Naomi und Romain waren da, wenn ich sie brauchte und liessen aber genügend Privatsphäre, obwohl sie im gleichen Haus wohnen. Der Umgang war sehr angenehm. Das Studio ist für Singles mit Ruhebedürfnis wie auch für Pärchen ein perfekter Ort, um einen Tapetenwechsel zu erleben und dabei schönste Sicht auf den Murtensee und die Weinberglandschaft zu geniessen. Der Gartensitzplatz ist wie auf einer anderen Welt, die Einrichtung schlicht, aber sehr atmosphärisch gewält. Ein Denner ist in der Nähe über einen Spaziergang gut zu erreichen. Gerne würde ich ein ander Mal wiederkommen, denn ich fühle mich nach dem Aufenthalt wie neu geboren. Herzlichen Dank Naomi und Romain für den wunderbaren Aufenthalt!

We loved the place ! We used it as our base to explore Switzerland with a eurail train pass, did day trips to Zurich, Basel, Geneva, Lauterbrunnen, Thun, Interlaken and Bern. Walkable distance from the train station, also a beautiful walk in a pretty village circled by mountains. The place was squeaky clean and had everything we needed. Very friendly host, was responsive and gave clear instructions. We even had a binder explaining how to use the ameneties and with local recommandations. Would go back if I was to travel to Switzerland again !

We stayed here for 6 nights and everything was blissful from the start as Gitte welcomed us and patiently showed us around. She even gave us great tips on where to shop for groceries. Extremely accessible, the bus stop is right outside the house, frequent to the city every 10 mins. The kitchen is well equipped and we enjoyed our stay here. Superb hospitality from Gitte. Would love to stay here again the next time we come to Switzerland.

For 6 of us, it is a great place to stay. You will not have an issue at all if you have your own transportation to go around, which is what we did during the 3 nights there. We cooked dinner for all three nights for 6 of us at the house and enjoyed the view. We have already missed this house now as we are in Interlaken for another 4 nights with a different style of Airbnb. After sharing our photos and experience of the house with my sisters, they are interested in booking the same house for their future trip to Europe.

Fantastic views of lake and mountains from every room, patio and balcony. Great location/easy access to all attractions in the Berner Oberland area with all the amenities needed. Highly recommend!

Es waren tolle Tage mit der Familie. Ich finde die Unterkunft sehr teuer. Aber heutzutage ist ja sowieso alles überteuert. Trotzdem, mega tolle Lage! Für Erholung perfekt- Werner ist ein sehr netter Mensch. Hat uns sogar noch einen ganzen Eimer voller Eier geschenkt-danke!

Wir hatten einen wundervollen Aufenthalt bei Bernard und Franziska! Die Unterkunft liegt in einer idyllischen Landschaft, ideal für ein paar Tage Entspannung.

A great apartment in a lovely neighborhood. The apartment was very close to the city center and we walked there easily. Our group of five stayed comfortably in the apartment. Bert and Lena were great hosts and answered quickly to all our messages and questions. We were able to check-in a bit earlier, which we appreciated a lot.

Super appartement à 20min du centre ville. Transport en commun accessible à la sortie du logement. Appartement spacieux dans un environnement calme et propre. Et enfin, hôte réactif et très gentil. Je recommande !!

This is a wonderful space! Beautiful chalet overlooking Bern, private, quiet, and easy to walk to old town in less than 10 minutes. A note on some of the reviews which mention “extra fees” FamilyB is very straightforward that visitors are required to pay the occupancy fees required by Bern, and list what the cost is per person/per night this isn’t a hidden fee at all, it’s spelled out in the listing and messages after booking. On parking fee, parking spaces in the inner city are few and far between, what FamilyB asks for usage in their petit driveway is reasonable, and less than local parking lots, this is also clearly said in the listing, including letting them know in advance that you’ll have a vehicle so they can plan ahead for the parking space which is shared by their family. Lastly, there was a recent review complaining about cleanliness, we found this chalet to be one of the cleanest and nicest Airbnb’s we’ve stayed in (and we’ve stayed in a lot), super comfy and plenty of room.

The location could not have been better! We loved Maria’s place and she was very communicative. The view never got old, and we were close to everything we wanted to see while in Switzerland. While we had a car and got to use the included parking spot, we also tried using the bus stop which was immediately outside the home and it was very easy to navigate around Switzerland. We would highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone who’s visiting Switzerland!

Excellent stay, just a few meters from the best view of Bern. We really enjoyed our stay here, and Stefan was very responsive (provided additional pillows after our first night!). So handy to have a parking spot, yet it is walkable (within a half mile, I believe) to the beginning of Old Town. The Bear Park is even closer! Comfy lodging with plenty of space, appreciated being able to give our teen kids separate sleeping area even within the same room. Great well-set kitchen for cooking lots of meals - wish we had time to try Stefan's restaurant! Great shower in the bathroom, pressure and hot water after a long day of hikes. If you give Stefan your bdays and names, he can provide Bern transit passes - this will even get you up Bern's home mountain The Gurten, where there's an alpine coaster and other fun stuff to do. We'd love to come back and take advantage of that! All in all a lovely opportunity to feel like a resident of Bern 😍

We really enjoyed our stay here. The unit is clean and comfortable for our family of five (one infant). It has a separate entrance for guests and dedicated parking space. Kitchen is complete with all the appliances & utensils. Elisabeth was super nice and friendly. She brought our kids to see the animals and they love it. She provided some groceries n chocolate and she even baked bread for us. hopefully we have the opportunity to stay here again.

We had a lovely stay! The apartment was clean and tidy upon arrival, which we really appreciated. Upon check-in, we received clear instructions on how to enter, which made everything easy. The apartment is exactly as described. The location is easy to find and there’s a shopping center within walking distance, which was super convenient. We felt comfortable right away and were able to fully relax. We’d be happy to come back again! 😄

Loved this condo. It was spotless, easy to find and the location was excellent. It was not in the middle of town with the crowds, yet easily walkable. Loved the peace and quiet and the views were amazing. A view of Staubbach falls right in front of the kitchen windows and at night the falls are lit up and look magical. The snow capped Mountain View’s of Breithorn mountain from the deck and literally from the sofa as you are watching tv, were awe inspiring. Comfy furniture and bed and a well equipped kitchen. Lisa was great with recommendations and super responsive.

Nous nous sommes sentis bien dans l appartement d Élisabeth. Bien situé, calme et douillet à proximité des lacs et jolis villages. Le+:une petite terrasse pour la pause café 😀

Appartamento luminoso e pulito. Zona tranquilla. Davanti alla casa un autobus e un tram pubblici (gratuiti per la durata del soggiorno) che passano puntualissimi e frequenti per il centro e per la collina. Proprio accanto alla casa parcheggio gratuito. Eva risponde prontamente e gentilmente ad ogni richiesta. Siamo stati benissimo . Torneremo.

Andrea's Airbnb was a nice 3-night stay for me in the middle of a much longer trip. I needed a place to decompress, do laundry, and recover from international flights and jetlag. Andrea's condo in Spiez was a spacious and convenient choice. The condo is a short walk from the picturesque town and the train station, and the neighborhood was very quiet while I was there. I agree with the suggestion to take the bus up the hill from the train station to the stop near the condo if you are carrying luggage or groceries. I also agree with reviewers that mentioned the lack of a microwave, which was OK for a short stay but I would miss if I rented for a longer time. The grocery store is near the train station and walkable. I will caution that almost everything in town is closed on Sunday, so if you arrive on a Saturday then pick up enough groceries to tide you over to Monday. There's a small convenience store at the train station if you have to buy on Sunday. I would stay here again.

Auf unserer Rundreise durch die Schweiz die schönste Unterkunft mit atemberaubender Aussicht. Die Wohnung ist super sauber und gemütlich und bietet alles, was man braucht. Von der Unterkunft aus gibt es viele Ausflugsziele, die mit Auto top zu erreichen waren. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen sehr gerne noch einmal wieder.
