The Annex - self contained unit .

The Annex is on a small farmlet, 6 km south of Whangarei, with harbour views. It was a sleepout, built in the 1980's, separate, but next to the main house. It has two bedrooms. There is a double bed and two singles plus a day bed in the living area. The living/ dining area, has a wood fire. There is a small shower room and separate toilet. It is situated about 100 mtr off SH1, so there can be road noise. There are no streetlights and it can be very dark if you arrive after sundown.

This is a lovely large quiet and tranquil separate unit with a new bathroom. A small stream gurgles alongside enjoyed by pukekoes and eels. We want you to enjoy the birdlife, therefore we have food for you to feed the fantails, eels and pukekoes. A Gazebo over looking the stream to watch the pukeko playing, maybe enjoying a glass of wine. The unit has a microwave, fridge and toaster sofa, table and chairs for you to enjoy "home away from it all". Very safe off street parking

lovely location, nice and quite part of busy whangarei. Will 100% book this home again. I felt like I was staying at a relatives house, it was so lovely. the double bed was comfy but a little small for my partner and I so if you're on the taller or bigger side, you may not have the BEST sleep. otherwise, 5/5, 10/10 :)

Relax near the sea!

Giles and Niamh were absolutely fantastic hosts, so very friendly and easy to talk to, easy to communicate with and made check in and check out easy. The place is tucked down a driveway and plenty of room for our car. The view was lovely from the unit and easy to go for a nice walk from, literally a few minutes to the Harbor. Also not far from town or local shops. It is immaculate inside and perfect size for two people. The bed had clean linen and super comfy. The bathroom was immaculate and the shower had great water pressure. The room was very warm and cozy, it did have an air conditioning unit but we didn't need it even through it was miserable weather as the unit is so warm. Nice little kitchen area, fridge, microwave, toaster, jug etc. Little lounge with a couch, tv and dining room table and chairs. Lots of local brochures on the table with places to visit. This will be our go to when we are back up in Whangarei as they were such lovely hosts with great accommodation.

Carien and Jay were so incredibly welcoming, it felt like staying with family. I moved to the area and booked their Airbnb as a buffer to find a rental. They were as concerned about me getting a rental as I was, and reached out to friends to help me out! Carien invited me to join her on walks with their pups, Jack and Jill, who are extremely sweet. I would absolutely recommend staying if you have a chance!

melinda was wonderful to communicate with, shes put a lot of love into her little space and we had a beautiful weekend. the stairs are really no problem! just be a bit careful up and down them and your fine, she had cookware, towels and everything we could need. bed was very comfortable as well.
