Also 45 mins drive from famous Otavalo (local handcrafts), San Antonio de Ibarra (wood art), Cotacachi (leather goods) NOTE: The place is right next to the main house where the host lives. If you aren't fan of dogs, just let the host know.

Our lake house combines industrial design with warmth, wood and brick, and provides a perfect rest and ideal base to get to know the charming area of Otavalo. We are 20 minutes from the Ponchos Market, 50 minutes from the Mojanda Lagoons, 20 minutes from Cayambe, 40 minutes from Cotacachi, etc. Enjoy cozy nights with two fireplaces, an electric outdoor heater and a fire pit on the terrace that will accompany you to enjoy the most beautiful sunsets in the mountains.

This charming two story cottage, known as Casa Verde, is located on a delightful organic farm 5 minutes outside of Cotacachi (15 minutes from Otavalo and 1.5 hrs from Quito). It is a cozy retreat nestled between the Andes Mountains of Mama Cotacachi and Taita Imbabura with expansive organic vegetable gardens that our guests are welcome to enjoy. One way or roundtrip car service from Quito for additonal fee. No pets allowed.

Retro Loft with Tub and Lake View

The cabin includes one shared bathroom (Full Bathroom 1), which is available to all guests. Full Bathroom 2 is a private bathroom located inside Bedroom 2 and is only available when Bedroom 2 has been requested and prepared for the reservation. If Bedroom 2 is not part of the selected room arrangement, it will remain locked together with its private bathroom.

Kawsay- Accommodation and Food

"Kawsay" is located within the San Clemente commune at an altitude of 2,800 meters above sea level, Kichwa Karanqui indigenous village, next to the Imbabura Volcano, approximately 25 minutes from downtown Ibarra. We will be happy to share our rustic home built in mingas with local materials.
