Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Otis

My wife and I stayed here 2 night with our dog and had a great time. The cabin was super cozy and had everything we needed during our stay. Special shoutout to the couch, which was extremely comfortable for late night movie watching! If you are looking for a quiet weekend away to do some hiking, I would certainly recommend staying here. The town of Becket is very rural and food options can be somewhat limited but the house has a full kitchen and grill to use if that's more your style. Overall 5 stars would stay here again.

Taryn's place is perfect for the quirky individual who is looking for eye catching and unique decor that you would not expect in a rural setting. The books, games, music selections were perfect for us and of course the "bad art" with the hilarious descriptions made for such a fun interactive experience. My only critique, which really is not the hosts fault is that my dog was able to slip through some spots of the backyard, so if you have an adventurous small doggo who cannot help but explore the beautiful surroundings on their own, please make sure they are supervised in the back yard area. My dog is about 16lbs, so if you have a medium or larger dog you might be okay with the fencing. Thank you Taryn and Bryan for the experience, I would definitely stay again.

No notes, incredible escape even in the pouring rain. The ambience, even down to the little things like walking through the door to classical music, was truly top notch.

The place is located in a peaceful location and away from the busy city/suburb life. The home was very clean and smoke free. Kitchen was spotless and had all the utensils, cooking pots/pans, small appliances that a family would need. The home easily accommodated all 7 of us and could have accommodated up to 10 people comfortably. Though we were not able to spend most of our time at the home, we definitely wished we had more time to just hanging out at the place. Annette was very responsive to our requests and went out of her way to "greet us & my daughter" in her own special way. Thank you, Annette. If we ever come back out there, we will be reaching back out to you. My daughter's friends were very happy with how the home was able to accommodate all of them. We stayed here on our way to Stowe to break up our long drive with an 8 and 2 year old. It ended up being a wonderful mini trip that we didn't want to leave. The house exceeded our expectations in terms of quality, cleanliness, and amenities. And the location was excellent - about 10 to 12 min to the nearest grocery store and downtown with restaurants, Edith Wharton's estate about 20 min away, and Great Barrington/Stockbridge were easily accessible for day trips. We plan to come back for skiing, and to take advantage of the lake activities in the summer. The only downside was the busy road, as mentioned in the listing, but the traffic quieted down in the evening and it didn't affect our sleep at night with the bedrooms located in the back of the house (husband is a very light sleeper; we did bring and use sound machines just in case).

Beautiful location in Otis, right on the lake and so peaceful. The house is very spacious and easily accommodated our family ( 7 adults and 2 children). All the windows in the house provided great views of the lake, especially from the deck. Our host Nick was very responsive when we had questions or any concerns. Would be nice to come for a stay during the summer.

Peter and the apartment were great! Peter was super responsive, friendly, and had nice touches like homemade granola with milk and coffee provided. After my original AirBNB fell through at check-in at 6pm, I was relieved (and saved) by Peter’s responsiveness.

We stayed here on a weekend trip to Lime Rock and it was a great location! Close to the racetrack and also near the town center, as well as a relatively short drive to Great Barrington. The house was exactly as described and very clean, I would recommend it!

Cindy was great with communications, and gave me all of the instructions I needed to make it a pleasant stay for me, my dog, and the hosts. I stayed Friday and Saturday nights, and enjoyed the craft beer and locally made sourdough pizza in the evenings with a talented musical duo playing on Saturday night. The taproom closes at 8pm, and after closing time the apartment is very quiet and peaceful. The apartment is cozy with attractive furnishings and a comfortable bed, but it is not a place for people with mobility challenges. There are 17 steps up to the apartment, and the shower in a free-standing claw-foot tub doesn't have handrails. I enjoyed my stay, and give it a 5-star review for physically fit singles or a couple!

Perfect night for a nearby getaway while things done at my apartment. Lot of charm and everything you could need is in this den. Pictures did it justice. I’ll stay again just for the fun of it next time. Igor was easy to communicate with and he was spot on with everything he has posted on the listing. This place is a gem!

The place was beautifully decorated and everything from the plants to the antiques was wonderful to see. This is the perfect place for any stay and they only ask that you respect the possessions. John was very responsive in helping us for a late check in.

Nothing but good things to say about my stay. Hosts were friendly, welcoming, and responsive. Apartment was adorable, homey, and well furnished. Property was quintessential southern New England. You won’t be disappointed.

Obinna is a great host and this apartment is so comfortable and lots of space to stretch out. Fully stocked kitchen and there are fantastic restaurants within walking distance. Two 65", high end tvs and the mattresses on the beds are sooo nice. Obinna puts effort in where a lot of hosts cheap out, which really makes this pad special. It's tough to get an open spot here on the calendar, but, if get the chance, make your reservation here. It's the best in the area.

Such a unique stay! David gave very helpful instructions for arriving and getting to the property, even supplied photos for extra assistance. The property itself is cozy and in a great part of the city. There’s lots to do nearby, super walkable, and David provides great local recommendations. The shared gallery space was so cool to see too. Great experience!

My husband and I loved our stay at Jo Anne’s place, it was quite,clean private, easy access to parking and very affordable . Stocked with the necessities.

Dan’s place is cozy, comfortable and just minutes away from Mt. Beacon in one direction and ten minutes away from Main Street in the other direction. The kitchen is stocked with cooking essentials, though there are so many delicious restaurants nearby- the best of both worlds! The bed was extremely comfortable and the jetted bathtub was a huge bonus. I genuinely relaxed there, which is a rarity for me. Thanks so much, Dan!
