Haruya Guesthouse

Our guesthouse is in a beautiful mountain village, near to it are pristine forests with beech trees and an ancient mountain path that was used to carry sea products from Japan sea to Kyoto in old days. In front of the guesthouse runs a stream that is a source of Lake Biwa and its water is crystal clear ; in early summer nights many fireflies fly over the stream. In winter, we have a lot of snow ; sometimes it reaches 2 meters from the ground! On clear nights you can enjoy the sky full of stars.

Bus service drastically reduced since Covid-19. Free parking space. Easy access to both Kyoto and Lake Biwa. Rich in nature. Completely detached, full privacy, handy & cozy like home. ここは京都のお隣にある大津市石山です。琵琶湖の一番南側に位置していて、川も流れ、豊かな自然がある素敵な街です。JR京都駅に3駅の13分、大阪駅に50分で到着します。ここ石山駅周辺は自然に恵まれていて、更に石山寺を代表とする歴史的な建物もあり、日本人の観光客も沢山訪れていますよ。さらに飲食店も豊富に立ち並んでいて、滞在中食事場所に悩んだら、私に相談してくださいね。私は日本でも三大和牛に選ばれている近江牛のお店がお気に入りなんです。 日本一大きな湖の琵琶湖に接する瀬田川は緑が多く、流れも緩やかで、川沿いや琵琶湖のほとりをゆっくり散歩すると心が安らぐのを感じられるでしょう。さらに瀬田川にかかる唐橋は歴史的にも古くから交通の要として栄えました。 また人気の観光地MIHO MUSEUMへも石山駅からバスで向かう事が出来てとても高アクセスですよ。 彦根城へも石山駅から電車で向かえます。 お部屋は多数の照明が心地良い雰囲気を演出し、240センチ幅の大きなベッドでゆっくり旅の疲れを癒せます。私はこのお部屋の夜の雰囲気が好きで、みなさんにも是非体感して頂きたいです。瀬田ゴルフ場も車で8分です。

You can also use wifi. The bath is about the size of two adults and uses Japanese cypress. It will be a very beautiful room just opened in January. Please try and stay at once. The location of the hotel is in a place where you can walk to downtown area of Kyoto and famous temples. It is a very convenient place.

My mother and I decided to renovate this house to preserve and pass down the virtue of good old days in Japan to the next generation as well as to show it to you.
