We four women friends had a wonderful weekend in Kaikoura, based in Tim's Airbnb. The home was very well-appointed with really comfortable beds with high-quality bed linen, relaxing couches, a practical well-equipped kitchen with an awesome coffee-maker already loaded with coffee beans. We walked only about 200m to see the spectacular sight of the sun rising out of the sea. We were able to do the Kaikoura Peninsula walkway in a loop returning to the house as there is a track down to the beach from nearby Ward Street. This did not seem to show on maps. The loop is completed by taking the South Bay track to the top of the peninsula quite near the Kaikoura Lookout/water supply tanks. (We in fact did the track in the reverse direction of this description.) This loop is substantially shorter than starting at the Information Centre. In Kaikoura we greatly enjoyed using the walkway along the shore, leading to the newly renovated Pier Hotel and the attractive reserve at the point.

Lovely property. Amazing parking and access for cars and or any size car and boat. Down quiet cul de sac. 3 min drive to town restaurants etc.

Lovely sunrise views and well-nestled away from the bustle of the main town area while being within 5 mins driving distance from most amenities. The only downside would be that there’s only a single toilet/shower which is a slight hassle to manage for bigger groups!
