Iconic 17th Century Thatched Cottage
Enjoy the beautiful garden in the summer sunshine or hunker down next to the fire in the winter, Hoo Cottage has it all! It is one of the few thatched Cotswold Stone properties, tucked away in the idyllic village of Chipping Campden. We have done our best to bringing out the distinctive character of this historic property, while furnishing it in a luxurious rustic style. The history of the cottage is still up to debate. However, we have found evidence of it playing a role as the village bakery.

With feature fireplaces and a wood burner It is the perfect base for exploring the Cotswolds and is only a 20 minute drive to Cheltenham. The cottage is only a couple of minutes walk from the local pub and the other restaurants in the village, including the Painswick Hotel, which serves afternoon tea, cocktails and offers a beautiful restaurant. Local shop is a a few meters away.

An idyllic spot for walking, cycling, exploring the local scenery or simply escaping the city Painswick is 10 minutes from Stroud ( 87 mins hourly train to London).

Our idyllic cottage is set on the edge of Minchinhampton Common (located in an AONB) and with miles of footpaths which are perfect for those wishing to explore the Cotswolds. This beautiful cottage exudes an aura of peace and tranquillity and a haven for those wishing to escape the hustle and bustle of a busy life.

Sans Souci is a bespoke Shepherd's hut, lovingly hand built to an incredibly high spec. Completed in April 2021, it has a double bed and double sofa bed. There is a well-equipped kitchen, a shower room with sink and compost toilet, and a log burning stove. There are far reaching views of the Cotswold hills, which can be taken in from the South-facing deck. Enjoy al fresco meals, cooking over the fire pit in the garden or walks galore in the local countryside.

It is set out over three floors and comprises of an open-plan kitchen/dining/sitting room with an exposed stone fireplace with woodburner. TV, wifi and a well equipped kitchen. A very steep wooden staircase leads to the first floor with a double bedroom and bathroom/w.c. Another steep staircase leads to the second floor which comprises of a twin bedroom and a bathroom/w.c.
