This place is a adobe in its own world!! Absolutely beautiful, serene, and calm. The property is itself surrounded with nature and has maintained its raw essense of the earth. Someone looking to escape the chaos should definitely spend a night here. The three of us sisters spent 4 days there with utmost comfort of home and felt very warm and welcomed by Sandeep and Santosh (the hosts) followed by all the workers (Yalamma (someone you can almost picture your mother and sister in), Praveen (an amazing chef who cooked authentic tasty food), Junaid (got us comfortable within the space). Looking at them felt like a family together. The rooms were clean, with fresh linens and blankets provided. We took the woodpecker and that comes with a bathroom that's detached and downstairs. Definitely hygiene maintained. So, folks should definitely check with the host before booking. The river is a must that you should visit along with certain beautifully set platforms overlooking the nature.

Matsya house has been lovingly curated, kept and made! It’s a beautiful place — a great break from the anxieties of the world out there. The food is great and local, the host and staff are extremely responsive and fun. The neighbours are happy and friendly! And, of course, the location — not only is it between the Keralas backwaters and a beautiful secluded beach, it is like it’s at the end of the earth: a serendipitous outcrop of “God’s Own Village” just for you and your stay. We hope to keep coming back now that we’ve discovered this little slice of heaven.

Evrything was great about this place and the people.. If you are planning for a peaceful trip that stays away from city noise, you can prefer this place. Highly recommending this place to all.. Great food and a Great stay..
