Holiday houses in Parada de Gonta

It was a very nice cottage, small, but everything was in good material, nice shower, nicely decorated with nice wood details. We slept wonderfully with the windows open and the sound of the river, otherwise it was completely quiet at night. Outside nice terraces, wonderfully seated with our feet in the river, a fantastic environment, completely unobstructed views at the back of the house and a lovely hamlet. We walked every day for half an hour to Gois, a beautiful village with river and delicious pastries at the paladeria. We thought it was very nice!

We loved our stay at Casa do Professor. It was so quiet and peaceful. Lovely views, beautiful house inside and out. It worked well for a day trip to the Duoro wine area and another to Viseu, it was wonderful to come home to. Also nice walks in the general area (one was from the house, towards town, onto the ecopista). Lovely, quiet area full of small villages. Easy driving, groceries and restaurants nearby. We cooked a few meals and had what we needed. Having the washing machine was helpful. Comfortable beds, beautiful decor, yummy pastries delivered by Antonio's parents. Antonio was responsive and gave a lot of helpful suggestions in response to our questions. Highly recommended!

We loved our stay at Susan’s place! The apartment was exactly what we expected, with beautiful stunning views and surrounded by nature! The common areas were a nice surprise and each space felt carefully designed and taken care of. The pool was definitely a highlight, as we were able to enjoy it on some really hot days. Susan was super easy to communicate with, and made us feel welcomed and taken care of. We would definitely like to stay there again, and we wholeheartedly recommend it!

I spent two nights at Casa Canela with my girlfriend. We made this choice because we wanted to “escape” the chaos of the city and look for a place to rest! You've exceeded our expectations! Super quiet place, with all the amenities! Super well-equipped kitchen, impeccable bathroom and phenomenal bedroom! The cleaning, tidying and care was excellent! The pool is super well maintained, as is the entire surrounding space! Even with Steve living upstairs, privacy was total! Steve is fantastic and super available! The house has all the conditions and amenities for those who want to spend a week or two! Without a doubt, the best place I've ever stayed! I hope to be able to return someday! The place is simply perfect, very peaceful, green space, wonderful pool, the house is very clean, fragrant and organized. About Isabel and her husband, wonderful people, very pleasant and always available. It was an impeccable stay, we will definitely come back more often!

If you searching a spot that is quiet, with beautiful views, your private area to relax, than this is definitely the right place. The house is lovely and everything is available what is needed. The surrounding on the Quienta is nice to do small walks and the pool has the right size to get a refreshment. Hugh and the others are great hosts, explained well the way to get to the Quinta and answered quickly in case of questions. We would love to come back and enjoy this place again.

Cozy and very clean place. The equipment is fully equipped. There are a number of good excursions from the small village of Santar, such as to Viseu or the Douro Valley. Ana and Christiana brought us fresh rolls and fresh berries from their own garden in the morning. Very tasty.

My partner and I eloped at Dajas and it was truly made so special by both the location and the people working there. Immediately upon arriving, every team member was welcoming and knowledgeable and made every effort to assist us - no matter how big or small our request. The room was immaculate and the property was even better than the photos. All food served was fresh and made with love. The little shop at the top was stocked full of special Portuguese ingredients and DELICIOUS wine for us to drink throughout our time. We particularly enjoyed the amenities and activities including; hiking, the pool, billiards, the games, wine tasting and more. The two cats that live on the property really made the stay - particularly Kinka who I think about every day. I couldn’t recommend this more highly. I will be back, the combination of people, activities and location were so special and cannot be put into words.
