The great sites of the Pyrenees are nearby: Cirque de Gavarnie, Pic du Midi de Bigorre, Pont d 'Espagne, Lac de Gaube, Lourdes.

Balacet is a starting point for hikes. It is accessible by car year-round. 15 minutes from Castillon (shops) and 30 minutes from Saint Girons.
