The house is situated in a picturesque, quiet, and very private environment. It's a great house with a very well maintained garden. Every day is a pleasure and pure relaxation! Whether in the pool, by the lake or a walk through the property, it is a once in a lifetime experience. The whole property creates a cozy break in the countryside. Not far away, new adventures and explorations await. We never got bored. We had wonderful days and were allowed to drive home with many nice memories. Thank you for the warm welcome from Clair and the warm farewell to Kevin. It was two very likeable encounters. Looking forward to next time! ❤️

We had a lovely 5 night stay in Idron - a beautiful location and lots to do in the surrounding area. Highlights were Pau and Tom Rafting (1 hour drive away). We hope to return!

We had a fantastic stay at dominique's house. Very pleasant instructions beforehand and nicely taken care of on arrival. The house and the surroundings were beautiful. Dominique is always available when you have questions and happy to help. Definitely recommend staying here!

Gorgeous setting for a great house. We were 3 families staying together and the house was perfect for our needs. Super comfortable beds in all the rooms, well-equipped kitchen with huge dining table to seat all 12 of us and plenty of different areas for adults/ kids to relax separately. Lots onsite to keep everyone entertained, including books, DVDs, games - the tennis court and large grounds were an absolutely bonus for all the children to roam around. The house manager was very helpful checking us in and with any queries we had before/ during our stay. Although the village itself is very quiet, we took several day trips out to Pau, Lourdes and even across the border to St Sebastian. You definitely need a car, but there is plenty to explore in the local area. As gorgeous as the view of the lake is, biting insects were rampant - if you are visiting in August, don't forget to take bug-spray!

The house was lovely right next to the village. Our dogs loved the backyard. The village is quiet but there were a couple of nice restaurants and one nice cafe/bar. Everything is within walking distance.

We were hosted very well by Camille and Romain. Their house is very comfortable, well appointed and very spacious. The playroom for kids was much appreciated. The pool is at the top, we had a great time. Thank you again for your hospitality and we'll be sure to recommend you.

We had a wonderful stay. The house is superb and tastefully decorated. The view from the deck is beautiful. Lizzie and Jean-Pierre are very available and responsive hosts. The communication went very well and we appreciated the good places they shared with us. Even if Orthez is not a tourist hotspot it allowed us to shine in the region to the Basque coast.

This is a truly beautiful place; the house, the grounds, the facilities, and the very kind & responsive owners. By far the best place we've ever stayed through Airbnb & deserving of far more than 5 stars! We couldn't recommend this place more highly; it was absolutely perfect for our two families.

We had a pleasant stay. We were a group of 9 friends and the house is really great for enjoying beautiful and friendly moments. The living room is spacious and open to a beautiful practical and very well equipped kitchen. The neighborhood is quiet and allows you to spend quiet and relaxing nights. Our group highly recommend this house and its guests. We will return in summer to fully enjoy the terrace and landscaped exteriors.

Liz and Dominic were incredibly helpful throughout our stay—truly lovely hosts. Their place is stunning, with breathtaking views and so much character. Although the pool wasn’t available at the time due to maintenance, they made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The house is spacious and perfect for hosting a large group of friends or family. Even though Liz and Dominic live at the back of the house, we always felt like we had complete privacy—they were only around when we needed something. It really felt like a home away from home. We can only recommend their place !

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Merete's beautiful home. Merete was a wonderful host who immediately made us feel comfortable. She went the 'extra mile' by searching for two of us when we were unable to get a taxi and helped negotiate when a member of our family was involved in a car accident. Merete was very supportive of all the family and understood the boisterousness of children. Thank you Merete.

We stayed for a week in this house which is even better than pictured. Close to Pau, with shops 5 minutes away but quiet. A recent house with everything you need to enjoy on site and an exceptional setting. We didn't know the area, but we'll be back with pleasure. Thanks Laurent!

15 days of quiet vacation. many activities nearby and returning to the accommodation with the pool to cool off is a great plus. Access to the vegetable garden with its vegetables and fruits is a real plus. The house is superb and well-equipped, whether it's the kitchen or the games available. Thanks to Nicolas and Sonia also for the gifts upon arrival.

The house is superb, even better than in the photos! Our stay went very well. The house has all the amenities you need, it's very clean and well-decorated. We enjoyed the calm, the heated pool and the closed garden for our puppy. The place is perfect for visiting the Pyrenees. We would have liked to stay longer!! We hope to be able to go back! Corinne and Pierre were very welcoming during our stay in their beautiful home, they were always available and responsive. We loved our stay and the location was perfect for exploring the region and the Pyrenees, from the Ossau valley to Gavarnie, the house is very well equipped, we particularly liked the summer kitchen with plancha next to the pool. The place is very quiet, without being isolated (supermarket and good bakeries 5 min away), and Pierre and Corinne gave us plenty of advice and good places to visit, we will go back without hesitation to continue discovering this beautiful region!
