The village is a great base for country walks in the Kent Downs, with plenty of local pubs for pit stops, or visits into Canterbury for its vibrant nightlife. Bus Services to Canterbury, Dover and the surrounding villages. Train service from Canterbury to London, Dover and Whitstable. Why visit Watling House... - Fantastic walks in an area of outstanding natural beauty - Lots of local amenities on your doorstep - three village pubs, local shop, butchers and a frequent bus service into Canterbury (approx 10 mins). - Close to the historic cathedral city of Canterbury. Visit the Cathedral, Canterbury Tales and the historic city walls. - You can nip up to London on the UK's first highspeed service from Canterbury West (approx 55 mins) or a day trip to France (approx 20 mins from the Port of Dover and the Channel Crossing). We haven't been able to list all of the great things to do in the area but can always tell you more... we would recommend a trip to one of the local Kentish vineyards for some famous English Fizz!

Bleak House Lodge, and garden is the perfect location for a seaside getaway. The property was sympathetically renovated, maintaining an authentic period atmosphere. The apartment is decorated to a very high standard, with a high specification kitchen and bathroom with large walk in shower. The lounge directly overlooks Viking Bay, with fabulous views of the seafront and is close to the town centre and easily walkable from the station. There is a wood burning stove for those chilly evenings or cosy winter breaks. We have one large double bedroom, and a double-sized sofa bed so the apartment is comfortable for 2-4 people.

There are plenty of car parks close to the property.
