Private Country Club Home

This was a very large suite and beautifully appointed. The host obviously took a lot of time creating this peaceful abode. The back yard looked like it came straight out of a fairy tale book.

Dry Run Cottage

JennyRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Dry Run Cottage is better than listed. The fenced and secure backyard allowed our pup to wander freely on the lush green lawn. The grounds are meticulously landscaped but best yet is when the fireflies come out and everything becomes magical. That’s just the outside. Inside is well appointed, squeaky clean and decorated lovely yet not overly done. Beds are comfortable. Upstairs bathroom is like walking into a spa. Andrea, thank you for allowing us to experience your property as we explored the battlefields conveniently nearby.

A Studio Barn Apartment at DuCar Farm

GlennRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The place is what we expected. The stone walls and floor are unique. Although there is a train track nearby, the walls really deadened the sound, so we slept well. A peaceful stay in the country, but plenty of restaurants within 20 minutes. The internet was good enough for e-mail, but I would not try to work from here (that is a good thing when trying to unplug for a few days). The space is a bit dark (but I am partial to brightly lit locations), but it is a stone walled barn, so about what you might expect. We were there to visit family in the area, so it was a place to relax and sleep, and it met that need well.

Catoctin Cabin and nearby farm!

KimberlyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
“We had a fantastic stay! The home was exactly as described—clean, cozy, and in a perfect location tucked away in the peaceful, woodsy countryside of Maryland. Michael was incredibly kind and responsive, and made everything easy from the start. What truly stood out was how family-friendly the space was. He had books and fun activities for kids of all ages, which made my 2-year-old and 4-year-old grandchildren feel right at home. Even my 6-month-old grandbaby had an exciting time exploring the space! On top of that, Michael stocked the home with thoughtful extras like snacks, a coffee maker, and other considerate incidentals that made us feel so welcome. It’s clear he put a lot of heart into creating a warm and inviting environment for families, and we’re so grateful. We’d absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone traveling with little ones.”

The Quick Escape

Shelby's place was great! Clean, easy to find, and comfortable. The road noise was a bit more than we prefer, but it was manageable.
