We cannot say enough about how enjoyable, peaceful, and satisfying our stay was in Fontelo at Marina’s house! The house feels spacious and open, with everything you need to be right at home. The views are incredible and the pool and outdoor spaces are functional and enjoyable. I wish I could go back and have another cup of coffee outside, watching the sun rise over the vineyard hills. A 15-minute drive to the Douro River makes tasting the local wines and Port very accessible — just make sure to check the route before following your GPS or you may end up on a dirt farm road :-) Marina is friendly and responsive, always willing to help with questions or suggestions for where to shop and eat. We are already looking forward to our return!

Dajas Douro Valley was perhaps more beautiful than the photos! It was the perfect place to relax between adventures in Lisbon and Porto. We especially loved spending time by the pool by day and cozying up with a bottle of wine by the fire pit by night. Alexandra and Tatiana were very welcoming. A few tips for future guests: The property is nestled in the hillside which means it is at least 20 minutes from towns/restaurants. We rented a car which was helpful for exploring nearby areas, but be prepared for many narrow, steep and winding roads! We found that Waze gave better directions (less rustic) than Google maps. We also wished we had stopped at a grocery store to stock up on some food for our villa before arriving. I also recommend booking reservations at local wineries as we didn’t have much luck just showing up (midweek at least). My husband and I would absolutely stay here again!

On our trip to Portugal, the Douro Valley was the highlight of the trip from the storybook views to the spread of freshly picked cherries, homemade preserves and wine awaiting our arrival to the cleanliness and comforts of a beautiful home perched high up on the vineyard terraced hills. The game room was an incredible surprise - there are seven eighties arcade games along with a ping pong table, a foosball table and an infinity game with over 150 board games built into the table. The hospitality was second to none. Gabrella, the property manager, was one step ahead of us ensuring that we had everything we needed to make our stays one of the most memorable. Sephi, the owner, is one of the most generous people we have ever met. His passion for region and willingness to offer his time to you is amazing. We spent one morning touring his winery, learning the old way of making wine and enjoying the fruits of his labor – an extraordinary experience not a just another Air BnB.

Manuel and Rosaria are adorable and very considerate people, who anticipate the possible needs of the tenants of the cottage. It was very easy for us to communicate with them despite the language barrier. Upon arrival, we were able to taste Portuguese specialties. The cottage is very well equipped, very clean and very well located for visiting the north of Portugal. The property is beautiful, with different spaces, garden, pool, vineyards and animals. I would highly recommend this rental. Thank you very much to Manuel and Rosaria for hosting us.

The most fantastic stay, we will definitely be back! The location and accommodation was even better than the photos and the host and staff were so friendly and approachable. The views from the entire place were fantastic. A very private and peaceful stay, and the breakfast baskets were very generous, full of fresh fruit, bread etc. We did a wine tasting on the vineyard and it was so reasonably priced and great wine. There was also a lovely peacock and cat that roamed the vineyard and came to say hello on occasion. Both pools were fantastic! Thank you for a really memorable holiday 🥰.

We had a lovely stay, the place is amazing and is even bigger than what the pictures made it look like :). Maria is a great host and answered every question we had. If you ever book it, don't forget to buy her wine, it's really good :).

l had a great time, the place is much better than the pictures, the views were amazing, check in and out was very easy, Francisco was very friendly and helpful, the house was clean and cosy with all the comforts needed. the swimming pool was great with spectacular views.

Simply fantastic! We had an amazing stay at Rui and Marisa's house. Everything was impeccably clean, well cared for and decorated with good taste and attention to detail. We felt at home from the very first moment. We loved the jacuzzi and, of course, the fireplace space, which made the nights even more special. Everything was designed to provide comfort and memorable moments. Note the affection with which everything was prepared! We recommend it 100% and hope to return in the future. Beautiful, clean, calm and quiet space. From the house, to the garden, to the pool and the magnificent unobstructed view, everything is wonderful. I recommend it 500%. Ideal for family holidays, with peace and quiet. Spectacular.

Had a perfect time. Margarida and her husband are very lovely and helpful. We enjoyed 5 days in their house. The accommodation was well equipped and groomed. We could play football, listen to music late in the night and play table games in the house til the Morning. They never felt disturbed or said we are too loud. I can totally recommend this, either for a Family Trip or a group of friends.

Mario and Cila’s home was one of the most beautiful I have stayed out. The house was an old olive oil mill, converted into a modern paradise. They thoughtfully incorporated the property’s history into the renovation. The home is beautiful but the grounds are next level! There is a running stream running along side and under the house with lush grounds and a wonderful pool. There is also a walking path to a little park with a waterfall! Super peaceful property. If you are looking for a getaway, look no further! Mario and Cila are super kind, gracious hosts! They welcomed us themselves and proactively provided tips and recommendations. Super appreciative of their hospitality.

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Da Alvarinha last week, it is such a lovely place. The house has so much character and is well equipped with plenty of communal areas, comfortable bedrooms, a decent kitchen, hot showers and everything that you need for your stay. Highlights included being surrounded by nature, the stunning outdoor dining area with the wisteria and lighting, and chilling out at the pool. Ana is a fantastic host, she doesn't intrude on your holiday but was always easy to get in touch with whenever you needed anything, quick to respond and very helpful. The cat Kim was no trouble at all and was a hit with the cat loving friends in my group. The location is so peaceful and within a half hours drive to Porto, we did catch the train a few times but mostly used Ubers which we found easy to book through the app. This trip was to celebrate my birthday with some close friends and I couldn't have asked for a more perfect place to stay or a better host, thank you Ana!

This was a dream vacation - we had just moved to Portugal and spent 2 weeks getting setup. We wanted a quiet week as a family to rest before school started. This place was perfect: perched on a mountainside in the middle of vines, the space was quiet, peaceful and beautifully designed and appointed. Paulo, the husband, is an architect who refurbishes vintage designer furniture. Teyna, the wife, is an amazing chef. Her breakfasts (included) we delicious and the dinners they offer in their adjoining restaurant and well crafted and tasty. Their place is pet friendly - we brought our dog, and they have a dog, two cats and two birds. We did outings to Porto, nearby Roman ruins, historic villages and swam in the rivers running through them. It was delightful.

This place is incredible. A renovated house from the medieval period, it’s even more impressive than the pictures. The setting is beautiful, with a view of the valley right out the bedroom window. The place itself is spotless and the automated check-in was a breeze. The host even had a bottle of wine waiting for us, and it’s well stocked with coffee. Like most homes in the region, be prepared to drive for groceries and restaurants - and take note that the drive to the house is steep downhill and at times narrow - but take it slow and you’ll be fine. The location of this place is perfect if you want to visit both Porto and the Douro valley. 10/10 would recommend!

The home was absolutely stunning and has an amazing view of the city below . The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful at night. The inside had a very modern aesthetic with lots of windows for natural light . All the photos in the post were accurate and are appreciated more in person. João was extremely responsive and would message me back no matter the time of day . And if there was any issues he would try to solve them promptly.

I would give 10 stars if possible! The place is just amazing, Paulo and Isabelle created a beautiful paradise with a breathtaking view and everything one needs for an unforgettable holiday. This was one of the most breathtaking views I’ve ever had at an Airbnb. The scenery was stunning, and the setting felt wonderfully secluded yet still just 15 minutes from the nearest supermarket (via a charming, winding road). The house was very comfortable and included a lovely pool — a perfect spot to unwind and take in the beauty around. Highly recommended for a peaceful getaway.

Beautifully designed apartment with a great atmosphere and beautiful views of the river in a quiet neighborhood. It's an easy walk into the middle of town - about ten minutes for us. We enjoyed the pool too! Highly recommended.
