Definitely a vacation to repeat, I recommend it to those looking for peace, tranquility and nature! The house is very well equipped, decorated and has an amazing view! During our stay we were also able to enjoy the delicious fruit that is at Quinta de Fundevila (where the house is located). Regarding the location, it could not be better, in a few minutes' walk you are in the center of Arco de Baúlhe or the old train station, where there is no shortage of things to see and explore. It should be noted that the restaurants in the area are all very good, as well as the bakery and are just minutes from the house. Regina and Alberto are very attentive and warm hosts, they spoiled us so much! Thank you so much for everything, we miss it already <3

We absolutely loved staying here. Ricardo was super friendly and helpful. Quinta Freiera is a stunning farm with loads of grape vines, lemon trees, orange trees, passion fruit, etc. It was so special to stay in a house that has been in his family for over 200 years. I highly recommend this quinta!

Our flight departed almost 2 hours late, but Fernando was so kind as to welcome us in person anyway, well beyond check-in time. The house is carefully furnished, spacious and cozy, has a beautiful outdoor space and is very close to the beach! The area is quiet and peaceful. If we were to return to Porto, we would like to stay here again.

She helped us throughout our stay and was always available for advice and support. The accommodation itself is wonderfully spacious, secure and surrounded by beautiful gardens. Absolute dream of a place. Stunning grounds, surrounded by the most gorgeous gardens, lush greenery and the sound of the birds. Great swimming pool to chill after a day exploring the region. The accommodation is 5*, comfy beds and bedding, all the kitchen amenities and set up was perfect and comfortable for our group of 4 adults and two children. José was always available to give us recommendations of restaurantes, wineries and more, and Hugo always around to help with anything you need. Ah, also fresh bread every morning - so thoughtful. We had an unforgettable stay and will cherish our time at Villa Margaridi for years to come! Obrigada!

Absolutely loved this place and can’t wait to go back!!! Adrianne was great dropping by each morning to have a little tidy in the kitchen and make breakfast. The view of the Douro valley from poolside and the rooms was incredible. Can’t say enough good things about our stay!

What an EXTRAORDINARY accommodation Casa Marmelo was for our group of 8 adults when visiting the Douro valley !!! Host Kate was super to work -- right from our initial contact for information through our date of departure. What an excellent WELCOME GUIDE she provided before our arrival - with valuable tips and suggestions for activities and dining throughout the area. Housekeeper Helene too could not have been more kind, charming, and helpful. What delicious breakfasts she made for us each morning. The entire property was kept so clean and tidy. What a memorable time we all had -- we all hope to be back!

Daniel and Katrina are already good friends. They are good people, easy to communicate and very helpful. They were impeccable in welcoming my family into their home. I highly recommend them!

This place is beautiful, with amazing breakfast of eggs, bacon, croissants, fruit, yoghurt, cereal, bread, and lots of other treats. It was a real highlight at a time flexible to you. The gardens and surrounds are stunning as well as the pool & terrace. We stayed as a group of 10 mid 40s ladies and had a fab time.. just not long enough. The breakfast staff were lovely. The rooms with all their ensuite bathrooms were brilliant and the sound insulation was impressive. The host was also very informative and responsive. Don't hesitate just book it!

We really enjoyed our time here. The house is wide, warm and with a lot of stuff to do. We felt comfortable and entertained during our entire stay.

Great place to stay for groups, especially in the summer? Great area, however I would recommend buying groceries before getting there as the next store is quite far. Overall I can definitely recommend, especially for the price!!

A great place for a big family looking for peaceful surroundings and beautiful scenery. On rainy days the the ground floor with all the facilities were a great asset for the younger generation

As a family with a lot of teens, I loved how many spaces this house had for hanging out. Also, having so many rooms with two single beds instead of shared beds is so nice when you have a lot of teens along. The outdoor spaces are so beautiful and peaceful and the yard is full of plants and flowers. We enjoyed the ease to reach Guimarães. We would happily return to this lovely home.

My family and I had a lovely time at Quinta do Vale da Ermida. Very quiet and peaceful location with a stunning view, especially from the pool. Very spacious and equipped with all the amenities we required for our stay. Last but not least, Catarina was always very responsive, helpful, and proactive in her communication with us. Would definitely recommend!

Had a great time in Marie’s place. She welcomed us really well sharing local places we could go to to shop or eat, and recommendation for Porto. Very easy to check in and flexible which was great. The house is very big with all amenities, and a very nice area by the swimming pool. Thanks again !

We enjoyed this cottage here. Garden has plenty of sun and shade spots. Nice pool to cool off in. Highly recommended. Easy by train to Porto from surrounding stations. Also after visiting stadium FC Porto by metro to downtown. Absolutely recommended.

From start to finish the experience was amazing, photos were exactly how the Airbnb was and location was perfect, nice and quiet and completely private! I would highly recommend and hopefully will be back in the future!!

A big thank you to Sergio for hosting us in perfect French: a small bottle and delicious pastries were waiting for us in the fridge. He gave us very good advice on places to visit in the area. The accommodation was as described. Sergio has a beautiful and large house that's very clean. The garden is very nice but unfortunately we didn't get a chance to use it too much because the weather didn't allow it.

amazing - just absolutely stunning. the house is homely and spotlessly clean. the land its on is second to none, fruit trees everywhere; kiwis, limes, oranges, apples. the host was super responsive and helpful. big supermarkets 15 mins away, easy access to porto. a wonderful stay and an amazing trip. obrigada!
