Our mountain sanctuary

JoanisabelRating, 5 stars1 day ago
What a pleasure to find sanctuary in Holly’s cozy cabin! Holly is kind and welcoming, a gracious and helpful host, while also respectful of privacy. We absolutely adored the space. The copper kitchen sink, ceramic bathroom sink, clawfoot tub, and compost bin were a few of the touches that demonstrate Holly’s lovely aesthetic and the intention she puts into this home. While a bit dim in terms of natural light within the cabin (the home is situated in a valley so this is to be expected), Holly has ensured there is sufficient lighting so it is a non issue. And while the cabin is close to the road, it’s even closer to a lovely stream and there isn’t much traffic at all. We were attending a 3 day wedding celebration up at Glamping Retro and Holly’s cabin was the perfect spot for us. Just a few bends in the road away. Should we ever find ourselves in the area, we would love to stay here again!!

"Rooms with a View", A Rustic-Modern Mnt. Retreat

DaveRating, 5 stars2 days ago
Absolutely loved this place! Meredith was quick with communication and responses. The home was beautiful, comfortable, and peaceful. The outdoor space with a view of the mountains was amazing! We spent a lot of time just relaxing on the deck and watching the world change colors at dawn and dusk. Kitchen was well-equipped. Not too far from town, but far enough to be quiet, peaceful and scenic. Highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend this one.

The Honeycomb Hideout

AliceRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The communication was fantastic! Never took them any time at all to answer any questions. From the moment we pulled up, going through the house everything appeared as it did in the pictures and description. House was very clean. AC took us a couple minutes to figure out lol but worked fantastic. They had so many extras, aside from the dishes, cups, silverware, etc. There are plenty of paper towels, trash bags, Ziploc, water in fridge, snacks, and beehive, cookie jar etc. I have never stayed in a Airbnb or VRBO that had so many towels and wash cloths, very much appreciated. there was already hand soap, plenty of toilet paper and a fresh hand towel hanging on the rod. had four adults taking showers every day always plenty of hot water. There are TVs in both bedrooms and in the living room. The table in the dining area was really big. That is where we sat most of the time.Everything was thought of to make you feel very welcomed and at home! Thank you Andrea & Rachel!

Reasonable, clean, a ways to civilization, but close to friends we were helping, blueberries outback, eggs and staples provided. Flexible check in and helpful responsive host! No complaints! Will likely use again for next visit!

High Cottage Retreat At 3500ft

KimberlyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Jo’s cabin was a peaceful retreat for my husband and I. It was very comfortable and had all the necessary amenities. An added bonus was her artwork. It was like being in an art gallery! We also enjoyed homemade blueberries muffins and blueberry & grand mariner jam.

King Bed • Covered Rocking Chair Porch • Peaceful

RileyRating, 5 stars4 days ago
This cabin is one of the best air bnbs we’ve stayed at! So clean and the host is so nice and responds quickly. Even the small touches made a huge difference. Loved sitting on the front porch every morning. Our first time to NC. We spent 10 nights here (we had to extend our trip because my husband’s contract extended and the host was happy to accommodate!). My husband got called here to clean up in the rivers from hurricane Helene. If we ever have the chance to come back we’d be lucky to stay here again! The cold water bottles in the fridge, the washer/dryer and the book of recommendations in the area were a great touch! We had great internet too. Such a quiet and peaceful area!

The Red House at Penland

JenRating, 5 stars1 week ago
What an incredibly sweet cabin in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina! I was taking a class at Penland, and this was such a perfect place to rent. Mere steps from the Penland campus, you feel like you're a part of the campus (but the cabin is tucked away into the woods). The cabin had everything -- very well equipped kitchen, supplies, and delicious little mint chocolates were left as a gift. The selection of mugs for morning coffee were beautiful, as well as the artwork hanging around the home. When I take another class, I will definitely be back!
