Cottage holiday rentals in Penn Township

Easy check-in and felt right at home. Jennifer was always responsive to messages. She also gave great suggestions for food etc. The house is located perfectly for walking to the beach, market, restaurants, coffee. It is also a great location for quick travels to New Buffalo, Three Oaks, Michigan City and more. We will visit again for sure!

We loved our stay! The cottage was so cute and very clean. It is in a residential area, but still feels very private. The neighborhood was quiet. The outside/backyard area is amazing. We could walk everywhere (restaurants, shops, beach, market, etc…). We did not get into our car once from when we parked it until we left. Nancy was so nice to work with. She called us on our way there to let us know the hot tub motor was not working. That was not a big deal us, but she was proactive in telling us and she had it fixed by the next day. We would 100% recommend staying here and might book it again ourselves.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful. The hosts were incredibly hospitable and flexible, making everything so easy and welcoming from start to finish. This home holds a lot of sentimental value for our family — we spent many years vacationing in this area growing up — and it meant so much to be able to return to the area and create new memories in such a beautiful, well-kept space. We couldn’t be more grateful and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing, meaningful getaway.

We had a great time staying at Amy's place! It is the perfect size for a couple. It feels very cozy and like you are actually staying at someone's home vs. the sterile Airbnbs that are owned by corporate entities these days. The property is as described. It is very private, yet close to everything! I would recommend staying here if you're in the area.

We had a quick two night stay while visiting the area. The house was as listed and we had a great time. We loved the hot tub and the indoor space. Comfortable seating in the living area while we waited out the rain. There is a train that travels close by but otherwise had a great stay!

Very peaceful to stay put here--bring what you need and stay in these beautiful surroundings among birds and gardens and an art-filled home. Or spend time on nearby beaches and trails, wander the nearby small-town shops and nice variety of restaurants and look forward to a hot tub soak and campfire. Donna's home is welcoming and inspiring!

Lovely home, many well thought out perks like fans in upstairs rooms and beach toys for kids! Info said it was an easy short walk to beach so I spent a whole lot more than I usually would. With children it would not be pleasant and is really not a short walk (and is on a semi busy road) & beach is down a whole lot of steps. BUT there are parking spaces so it was fine. Within the house, the steps are fairly steep at parts & there are 2?big ones going into house &!these were hard for my 70 year old mom w knee issues. So if person reading reviews is one of those people, this might not be THE place. That being said, it is very short walk to community pool & host is very responsive & house is beautiful! My mom mostly stayed within first floor including an awesome bed/bath on ground floor. There are games (although I didn’t love the Ouija board 🫣😂) . This would be a great place for multiple family / friends to split cost ;) Its very beautiful & community pool & hot tub are great!

The Place was clean and quiet. Beautiful trees surround the area. I am familiar with the New Buffalo and Union pier area. It was right in the middle of all the Restaurants. Sunroom was a great hang out. Yard was a large and private space to hang out and get a fire going. Of course, the koi fish was an extra bit of enjoyment, watching them. Would highly recommend this rental.

Wonderful home and location! Our family loved spending time here during our stay in new Buffalo. The yard was perfect for our dog. Colton and Abbey were terrific hosts.

We had a great time in New Buffalo! Airbnb is in an excellent location, walking to Beer Church was awesome! Would totally stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay at John’s place. House was super clean and comfortable. Loved the outside porch set up as well as ability to dine outside in bark yard. We always enjoy this area as the hiking for our dog is amazing.

What a beautiful location! Loved all the trees, beautiful yard to play games, super big fire pit, deck and grill was spotless! The inside was nice and spacious for the size. Great kitchen and bathrooms. The basement was large! We had an incredible time. Would come back for a longer vacation!

Great location in Union Pier and walkable to the lake and small downtown. Great house to spend a week or long weekend, Keith was super helpful and responsive.

Great neighborhood, quiet and cozy! Easy to find and close enough to everything we wanted to do. The backyard was beautiful and we loved being able to relax with the dog. Cute house and friendly hosts.

Can’t say much more than what’s already been said, although we decided this is the exact type of house we’d love to build some day, and we hope to stay at Jean’s and Van Auken Lake again and again. Jean was also extraordinarily communicative and helpful as we found our bearings. We loved coming home to the Aframe after our days exploring the area and spending time with family nearby.

This lakeside cabin is an idyllic vacation getaway for couples. It took some trial and error to able to use the listed appliances, but we managed to find a proper routine for using them. The hammock is set up in the perfect place under the trees. The sunsets are absolutely gorgeous. And, best of all, bubble wands. (Probably more intended for family use, but blowing bubbles is the ultimate way to relax.) 10 out of 10. Would booked again. P.S., If you drink coffee, you might wanna get some extra sugar to be safe. If Irina is provide extra sugar, then please disregard this postscript.

It was another magical stay at the Point. Beautiful, private, serene setting, even during a busy time on the lake. The house was as immaculately clean and comfortable as it has been on our previous visits. We're tall -- both six feet -- and the slanted ceiling in the kitchen/bathroom (mentioned in another review) has never been a concern. Loren is the best host I've worked with on Airbnb, offering clear instructions and quick communication.

We loved staying at Michael's place. The setting is beautiful and private, and the cottage had exactly what we needed. Michael was a great host - responsive and willing to help.

We choose Trevah’s place for our family weekend getaway. It was fun. My granddaughter enjoyed the spacious home. She answered our questions in a timely manner and was helpful getting us connected with the Marina to rent a pontoon for the day. Our family had a blast. The one thing that we all had to get used to was the lack of window shades, specially for the sunrise. Don’t get us wrong. We loved all the windows. But it was something to get used to. Definitely would will consider coming back. Thank you Trevah for sharing your home with us. Otherwise lovely home.

Dona & David were amazing hosts. Their listing was phenomenal and everything exceeded my expectations. The views were incredible. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. While we didn’t get to enjoy the water, it was beautiful to see. The cabin was exactly as described, everything was spotlessly clean. Paw Paw is a quaint town, Maple Lake is gorgeous, and the locals were all very friendly. The recommendations in the binder hit it out of the ball park. We enjoyed Red’s Rootbeer, which is a popular spot for coney dogs and other assorted foods! Overall, our stay was well worth it. In fact, we’re already planning on coming back later this year just to spend time at the cabin. Friendliest hosts, convenient location, lots of creature comforts, very relaxing. I haven’t felt this refreshed after a vacation in years. Thank you again!

The cottage was spotlessly clean. Beautiful setting. Very comfortable. Melinda is an excellent host. The cottage is in walking distance to all the best restaurants. Melinda's cottage is wonderful and we had a great stay!
