In the evening you can sit comfortably by the fire or read a book on the comfortable couch with a glass of wine. From Groß Markow you can explore the surroundings by bike or by car. The place lies between Lake Kummerow and Lake Teterow. The Baltic Sea can be reached in just an hour.

Enjoy living in our apartment, in the small town of Penzlin, centrally located between the cities of Waren 28 km, Neubrandenburg 12 km and Neustrelitz 18 km in the district of Mecklenburgische Seenplatte. 1.5 km to the nearest swimming lake. 7 km to Müritz National Park. Also worth seeing is the old Penzlin Castle with its witch museum. A well-developed network of bike paths also invites you to go for bike rides. A friendly family dog is very happy about guests.

We rent out 2 appartments. You are looking at the smaller unit. (The larger unit you find here: https://www.airbnb.de/rooms/21642508) The stable from 1891 was renovated into a 3-unit-home in 2016. The surrounding gardens are a work in progress. The property is quite large and you can always find a quiet and peaceful spot in the sun. The night sky is wonderful for star gazing. Up to 10 stork families nest in the village from April to August each year.

Our vacation home is one of the oldest farmhouses in the village. We restored it with a lot of love and brought it back to its old condition as best we could. We tried to use only historical building materials such as clay and wood. Rumpshagen is located directly in front of the Müritz National Park. Knehden is located in the middle of a nature reserve, only about five kilometers from Templin. In addition to cranes, sea and ospreys can also be observed here.
