Guesthouse holiday rentals in Peradeniya

This was one of the best places we have stayed in Sri Lanka with the view of Adams Peak from the room. The scenery was breathtaking and the atmosphere was relaxing. Our attendee, Siva, was excellent and helped us from the check-in, serving food and all the way to check-out. They serve authentic Sri Lankan delicious food in the restaurant and the price was extremely reasonable. Would highly recommend to family and friends.

Very nice place. The room as in the photos, in front of the room hammocks and sun loungers, you can relax looking at the beautiful mountains. Ishari and her son Vaneesah are lovely, they are happy to tell you what to see. Vaneesaha picked us up from the station, gave us a great tour of Ella the next day, a day later he drove us to Udawalawe for a Safari, which he also arranged for us. Delicious breakfasts, great communication, and the best front desk guy-pee Bruno ❤️

The house was very beautiful, amazing views of the lake Gregory, mountains and perfect spot to view sea plane landing. Our family loved it. Kitchen could be equipped more with spoons, utensils etc. Pradeep and his Mom were very helpful. Bathroom could be more clean and glass doors need to be revamped as the water came out while taking shower. Perfect house for our Christmas gateway. Thanks.

Pradeepsetiyanake and his wife have been extremely friendly and accommodating hosts.. We immediately felt comfortable there, which especially contributed to the warm nature of the hosts. The rooms are simple but offer everything you need for a nice stay. In front of the room you can sit covered and enjoy nature. The garden and the covered dining/lounge are designed with a lot of love. In addition, there were many tips on what to do in the area (e.g. hikes in the Knuckles Range, visit to the fantastic Rathna-Ella waterfall, Raja Maha Viharaya (large and important Buddhist temple)). An atmospheric 2-hour sunrise boat tour on Lake Sorabora with impressive bird variety has also given us Pradeepsetiyanake for a very reasonable price. Well, and then the food: super tasty and inexpensive - we were always close to bursting!

Wow! We absolutely loved our stay here. The breakfast (included) was delicious and filling. The view is beautiful, the bed super comfy and cosy, the room was lovely and cool and the surroundings/area was so peaceful and beautiful. We ended up extending our stay! Super walkable into the town too, with loads of cafes and restaurants nearby. Lovely hosts & beautiful place, can’t recommend enough, would definitely book again.

We really enjoyed our stay with Sharmini!! She was a lovely host that made us feel right at home, with recommendations on what to do and where to eat. Highlight was the meal she cooked for us and the tea. She helped us coordinate pick ups/drop offs and guided us to the bus station. Made us feel very safe. Highly recommend

This lovely family has made our arrival in Sri Lanka as gently as ever. Instead of a simple sleeping place, they also welcomed us warmly, cooked wonderfully locally (on request, 1350lkr. p.p. per meal) and were generally helpful (tuktuk organization etc). Daughter Jenny answered all of our questions and gave us a glimpse of culture. We will be very happy to come back and can only recommend it!

Namal is an excellent host and his place is situated in a very pleasant environment where you have the view of the beautiful tea plantation and the lake (unless it's dry season). He is very helpful and makes sure that his guests have everything they need. His mother cooks excellent traditional Sri Lankan dishes for a very affordable price (best coconut sambar we tried). Namal is very well aware of the attractions around Maskeliya and can arrange very interesting sightseeing for you. We visited 5 waterfalls of breathtaking beauty, climbed the Adam's Peak and walked Horton Plains (it took us 4 days do it all). Our trips were handled by a very positive and considerate driver Taraka, whom Namal recommended. This fine gentleman was the best tuk tuk driver we ever met. In our humble opinion, the views from the top of the Gartmore waterfalls and surrounding tea estate (there are two viewpoints there) are better than those at Lipton's Seat and Horton Plains. In addition to that, the two lakes around Maskeliya are of mesmerizing beauty. All in all it makes Maskeliya a hidden gem for a demandful traveler, and Namal's place an excellent home for some of your best Sri Lankan adventures. The only drawback is that there almost aren't any decent places to eat aside from Namal's house, since Maskeliya is not a touristic place. Hopefully his mother will be there when you book the place!

Good and easy to find place. Quiet yet close enough for railway station. main bus stand and other locations. Very good host. Nipun is friendly and very helpful with everything. The place has as well enough space to sit and have a relaxed time. Good value for the price!

Ranjit is an excellent host! He contacted me in advance and helped find accommodation. Upon arrival, he showed us our room, which matched the description. It had two desks, a large mirror, a wardrobe, and a private bathroom with hot water and toiletries. A ceiling fan kept it comfortable without air conditioning. We also had access to a balcony and rooftop with stunning city views. Ranjit and his family were very friendly, shared local tips, helped us get tickets for a national dance show, and even took our clothes to the laundry. His wife prepared delicious European-style breakfasts with a Sri Lankan twist. I had car issues, so Ranjit helped us reach a remote scenic spot and assisted with personal errands. He speaks English well and shares fascinating stories about his family, work, and local culture. Thank you for making us feel at home!

I only used it for the night, but theres a great view, friendly hosts and 2 dogs. It was a great experience overall.

It was quite a clean and very spacious place. Mahesh has always been responsive and even managed to squeeze the driver into an extra room quickly. Hayesh at the front office has also been very helpful too. We had a great time there and can be recommended to anyone.

I can't thank Shanthi family enough. I started my Sri Lankan adventure in their beautiful home eating their deliciously prepared Sri Lankan meals. Took a Yoga class with them was really amazing and inspirational. While I was there we gained priceless travel advice that made m trip!
